Reading OpManager Reports
Hello, I have a vendor that we provide SNMP access for monitoring a VoIP service at some of our branch offices. The vendor in turn provides OpManager reports on any alerts and changes in the environment. See the sample report I've provided for clarity. My question is about corlelating the Message with the Severity. I see in the Message column that there was a router configuraion change. And the Severity is Clear. I know for a fact that the router config changed on April 10th. The vendor

Anyone know how to fix the issue with every time i open opmanager it auto opens the same map (business view)? Makes no difference if I have check marked to keep me logged in or not.

WMI credential test fails - Access is denied

Inventory Report.
Dear All, Please tell me, How can get the all fields of device in Inventory report. By the default just have the Device Name | IP Address | Device Type | RAM (in MB) | Disk (in GB) | Most of Devices of Network Monitoring are the router , switch , access point so I can't see the RAM and Disk. We are currently using Oputils for IPAM but would like to start using Switch Port Mapper. In some cases we have isolated Cisco switches by design for security purposes. Is there a possible way to manually import the switch config vs. using SNMP?

SNMP: Empty Varbinds Returned ?
Hi, On one of my servers, I'm having trouble getting SNMP values. Some respond correctly, but for most I'm getting: Request failed or timed out. Error Sending PDU. Empty Varbinds Returned Anybody know how to fix this? thanks

Hi guys, I am currently setting the thresholds on some groups of server and was wondering if it was possible to fine tune the threshold so that it will not alert us unless the thrshhold has been violated for a few seconds? For instance, I would like to set it so that if a CPU sits at 100% for more than 10 seconds to alert us. Currently if a server spikes to 100% for a millisecond then drops down we are geting alerted which is causing dozens of meaningless alerts to be emailed out. I noticed the
Missing Jump To Link (NetFlow Analyzer)
Dear Sir/Mdm, I had an issue with the Opmanager version 8810 and when my readonly users login to the portal. The link to the NetFlow Analyzer was missing. OpManager sent an alert with wrong information regarding disk space
Hi, OpManager sent an alert with wrong information regarding disk space. When I checked the server disk space it is still 27.7GB and OpManager sent a zero disk space alert. This happened twice on different server and need to configure again the servers on OpManager. What causing the problem? Please help. Regards, Joel
Problem Adding Device to OpManager
Hi Currently running build 9101 on Windows Server 2003, and I'm having issues adding a new firewall (a DrayTek 3200 series device) to OpManager. Manually adding the device results in OpManager reporting that the device was added successfully, but it isn't available to view, and searching for it returns no results, only prompting me to add the device again. Changing ESX host monitors polling frequency
Hi, Is there a way to change the polling frequency of the monitors to an ESX host? By default they are all at 5 minutes and if you edit the monitor, you can't change the preriod. The same polling is assign to the host itself meaning that data is collected every 5 minutes, does this mean that if the server loose network connectivity a critical alarm will be raise only 25 minutes later? (5 polling with a ping failed) 1 ping failed after 5 minutes (1 x 5min) will raise a Attention alarm 3 ping failed

Shell script for monitoring file existence in Linux

Shortcut icon sending false alarms
Hello I'm having a little problem with opmanager shortcuts, sometimes one shortcut starts alarming a device problem, but when the problem is solved and the device is up, the shortcut still "not green", even with all the devices inside cleared. thanks
Layer2 Topology Map giving out "Error!"
Hi, when we access the Layer2 Topology Map all we get is "error!" on an empty page. i tried what was suggested here https://forums.manageengine.com/topic/error-msg-while-mapping-layer-2-topology-map It didn't solve the problem. We are currently doing a Trial of the OpManager 9 and i was wondering if it was possible to add a tab to the top bar to link to custom pages? For example we currently use EventLog Analyzer and it would be nice to be able to add a tab to the top main navigation bar that would link us to the Eventlog Analyzer login page, this way we could access everything from the OpManager site.

What is the Best Policy for Alarms on Devices that Become Unpingable?
Long title--but it basically asks the whole question. We are just now configuring a new deployment of OpManager 9 and wondered what the best setup is for having an alarm email generated after a device is no longer pingable after x tries? I thought maybe if the SNMP service is no longer communicating is a good trigger, but wondered if there is something better? I didn't see anything in the options for ICMP, so I'm not sure. Thanks!
Temperature display on dashboard
Hi, I have few questions. I want to create Dashboard monitor for temperature and humanity status. SNMP traps are working, and I get alarm notification if I have some issues in datacenter. I would like to achieve to have like performance monitor on dashboard that would show the temperature and humidity. We are using APC environment equipment, and I downloaded the MIB from APC site. File Monitor - already exists error
I deleted and re-discovered some servers, in order to get the "installed software" populated. Now I have a problem, building back in the File Monitors which I had built under the server. I have no FileMonitor Templates built. When I try to create a new file Monitor, opmanager errors, stating a File Monitor already exists with that name. So apparently the individual file monitor, which previously was built under that server, did not get cleaned out of the database, when I deleted the server device.

Old install went to default instance :1433 New db location goes to named instance running on port 51726 databaseconfiguration.bat seems to drop the "\" character when I try to enter DB Host name as: ServerName\InstanceName Is the correct Driver Jar for this connection, what shows as: mysql\mmmysqlDriver\mysql_connector.jar ? I also had to change the classes\jtds-1.0.3.jar to classes\jtds=1.2.2.jar I'll check the forum for response after lunch, and make a tech support call if none exists.

Unable to integrate Opmanager Prof and NFA Prof+
Good morning! We have installed Opmanager Professional and NFA Professional Plus (not NFA plugin) on the same server and we are unable to integrate both tools under admin->add on/product settings in the Opmanager Server. We have tried different options as using the hostname/IP address, enterprise/professional version and we have double checked that the credentials are ok, but when we press the "test connection and save" button it keeps telling "Unable to establish connection to Netflow Server"

URL - more features request
Hi, Since more years there were more requests to have the posibility to add the URL into Business Groups, as not always the URL is related to a device. In some cases we only need to know the status of that specific URL but we don;t control or manage the server / device. Do you have any news on this? Also, it will be very nice to have the posibility to give restricted access to users to specific URLs. I have now a request from my boss to give him access to 3 URL. I have more then 20 URL and 3xx devices.
Questions about install on RHEL 6.2 64bit
Hello, I am trying to install opManager to RHEL (Redhat Enterprise Linux) 6.2. This is what I downloaded: ManageEngine_OpManager_64bit.bin. I read the install instructions here http://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/installing_opmanager.html#linux_install and I found that majority of these packages: XFree86 XFree86–libs XFree86–base–fonts XFree86–xfs fontconfig freetype–devel compat–libstdc++ XFree86–compat–libs compat–libs are not supported by RHEL 6.2. (mainly which starts with XFree86)
