Is there a way to change the polling frequency of the monitors to an ESX host?

By default they are all at 5 minutes and if you edit the monitor, you can't change the preriod.

The same polling is assign to the host itself meaning that data is collected every 5 minutes, does this mean that if the server loose network connectivity a critical alarm will be raise only 25 minutes later? (5 polling with a ping failed)

1 ping failed after 5 minutes (1 x 5min) will raise a Attention alarm

3 ping failed after 15 minutes (3 x 5min) will raise a Trouble alarm

5 ping failed after 25 minutes (5 x 5min) will raise a Critical alarm

Is this right?  Is it possible to change polling frequency for ESX hosts?
