Subnet Objects Incorrectly Categorize
Under the subnets maps we have several subnets where objects in the subnets with addresses that aren't right for the subnet map they are in. Is there any way to move them to the correct subnet list? Also, I'd like to be able to report on subnet inventories. Would you consider that for future releases please? Thanks.

Custom monitor for linux load not working
Hello, I create a monitor using this OID to get linux 1 minute load avarege: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.3.1. The snmpwalk and the opmanager monitor test works fine, see the attachments. But, the graph no works, still getting "No Data Avaliable" message.
OpManager "Email Notification Profiles" not working....
Hi. I have setup an OpManager instance wanted to test the email notifications to see if it works. We use Google mail so we are talking to smtp on TLS or SSL. For some reason when i setup the mail settings and do a test message it works fine. But when i setup an email notification profile and then try to do a test it does not send the mail, it just hangs. Why does it do it. Why does Opmanager not support TLS? Kind Regards" Eddy

Business view issues
Hi Support Team, I want to know whether OPM actually offers the option of MapMaker or nor? I saw some employee had said there was no the option available in OPM 8 and it would be coming in new version in some topics in Forums, but now I have upgraded the version to ver 9011 and still found nothing about MapMaker in OPM folder. And if you still can't offer the MapMaker, is there other way to rename the business view and support Chinese name? I think it will help you develop the OPM marketing
How to Delete Uploaded MIB in MIB Browser
Hi Opmanager Team, I have uploaded several MIB via MIB browser, but then when I check the MIB is crash and couldn't be opened. OpUtils6 - IP Address scope discovery hits SNMP port in the process
OpUtils6 - IP address polling. How do I prevent OpUtils6 from polling the SNMP ports of end hosts during its automated discovery process?. As soon as I add the local "seed" Routers to the tool for the first time it appears to automatically default to hitting 161/162 as part of the IP Addressing scope discovery process. This causes issues as it trigger false positive alarms from the network of rogue snmp queries. Cheers, Rick

Service Monitor missing in Windows XP machines
Hi, We have added a group in opmanager(Infrastructure snapshot) and that group has Windows XP machines, in that i couldn't see Windows Service monitor where in windows 2003& 2008 Servers i can see those monitor. Please let me know how to enable those monitors into Windows XP machines as well. And i have tried all possible options but didnt help, even there is a option to add individual services to particular machines but after adding the service those services are not reflecting in monitor. How do I populate "Installed Software", for a server?
Some of the servers in opmanager display all the installed software, but others are just showing me a blank page. What do I need to do to populate this information? We have Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 servers.
Idea - I would like to add a URL to a Business View
I have built business views by Applications. I have one main Business View which is titled "companyName Applications", within that are links to other business views, such as Intranet/Extranet, Biztalk Environments, etc I would like to be able to just add a hyperlink to that main Business View, so that I could put in a link to our Outage Announcements, which we have posted in Sharepoint. OP Manager SMS Alert function is broken
As the title says, the current OPM9 SP1 does not work very well with SMS alerting. I recently added a new URL monitor profile which works fine. When I add it to our Email Notification Profile, an email is sent as soon as the url goes down and when the status gets cleared. If I add it to our SMS Notification Profile instead, an email is only send when the status gets cleared, the alarm does not trigger it. SNMP traps clear other traps
Basically, Dell can send traps for both things going bad and things going ok. It would be nice if you could set the 'ok' traps to clear certain bad traps. Maybe makes this a manual setting in the trap setup. For instance, a drive fails and makes the array non-redundant. I'd like to be able to map the 'array ok' trap to clear the 'array non-redundant' trap.
Modify Dial for Dell switches
Hello. I found many posts on here for modifying the snapshot_dials.xml but I'm not sure what to do with the "type" value for the param entry if I am creating for a type that isn't already thre. Exporting all configured values that are being monitored?
Hello, Is there a way to export all items that have been configured for monitoring, for all devices? For example we have a Windows 2008 R2 server, some disk items are configured for monitoring, services, processes. Is there a way to export these configured settings on a per device level along with their configured thresholds etc? Thanks.

OpManager Daily Server Disk Usage Giving Inaccurate Space
Greetings, I am using OpManager build 8050 to monitor my VMware servers. I had scheduled a daily report that shows the total capacity and usage, as well as available disk spaces of each drives for my VMware servers. The reports shows inaccurate value of the sizes, the difference is a few GBs but on one instance a server's drive had a different of 30GB. The free space showed in Disk Management of the server in VMware has 50GB, but from the OpManager report it shows 80GB of free space. Is there anyway

I have a Cisco WLC configured in Opmanager. Opmanager can connect to the device an successfully execute a backup of the config file. However, nothing in the config file matches the running config. Any ideas?

Conditional Windows Service Monitor
We have a couple Windows services which are not supported for clustering. We are monitoring this Windows Service on two servers. If the service is shut-off on one server, it turns on, on the other server. I'm currently evaluating OpManager and struggling with the device "names". Discovered routers, switches, etc are being displayed by their IP address by default - not their hostname/system name. Need a better way to find duplicate devices
I have some servers that have multiple IP addresses assigned to one interface, and OpManager identifies each one as an individual server. There needs to be some intelligence in the discovery process that can match these interfaces with one server. Also, there needs to be a function in the Admin screen to show all duplicates- hostnames, IPs, etc. I often find a device called server1.domain.com in "Servers", and another device called SERVER1.domain.com in "Desktops". Both point to the exact same device.
SQL monitor - report as table
Hi, I have an SQL2005 with almost 100 DB being monitored properly by OP-Manager through the SQL Add-ON. I can have a report from Database Monitors / Data base files, but the result is a page with 100+ graphs. If i try to run the last 7 days report, all is way too small. Is there a way to have this report like a matrix. I would like to have some DB file increase information and through the graph I cannot get acurate information. Firewall Analyzer 7 Add-On "Jump To".. not working when FA is using SSL
I installed Firewall Analyzer add-on for our Network Operations team to check it out. The Opmanager Add-on Configurations do not accommodate the "jump to" feature when Firewall Analyzer is using SSL. Would appreciate that being fixed, they have not checked it out yet.
Maintenance Schedule - Notes
We use the downtime scheduler often. I would love a new feature to put in a note about the scheduled outage. In this way someone who is uninformed of the planned maintenance, should they look in opmanager, could see why, and what the maintenance window pertains to. I would like the noted comments to appear on some bubble window or some such for every device that is added to that downtime scheduled maintenance. Thank you

Hi I've added 2 Dell UPS's to OpManager, while its finding them etc, it doesn't appear to querying the status, such Charge, Remaining Time etc. I've switch on SNMP etc, but still no joy. Can anybody advise on this? Do I need to setup a device template for them?
Alarms
Is there way to adjust the alarm threshold or criteria? I would like to monitor my interfaces so i do not want to change them as unmanaged but I am having an issue with receieving way to many alarms. For example if an interface goes up/down or if the utilization exceeds 30 percent OpManager generates an alarm. I am fine with the software keeping track of that type of information however there is no reason to generate an alarm for such types of messages, otherwise I receive so much noise I am forced

Business view: multiple links from one node
Hi, I've recently updated our OpManager installation to 9101. Now I have strange problem with existing (and new) business views. It seems that I cannot create links ie. from node a to node b and c, so that monitoring happens on node a interface (ie. eth0). Before upgrading this was possible and I have old business views that have multiple links from one node to many, and the monitoring happens on the one -side. Is this a bug or feature? If this is a feature, it makes the whole business view feature

Syslog viewer - Almost impossible to see syslogs as they come in...............
Hi guys. I'm trying to add a bunch of syslog rules in OpManager 9 to generate alerts as they come in from syslogs. Whilst the feature appears to work quite well once I define my rule etc. I'm finiding it almost impossible to actually capture a sample syslog message as it hits OpManager as they scroll past so quickly and there's no facility provided to view all logs received over a given time for instance. Get ambient temperature
Hi, We have a few HP Proliant servers and we can get with the cpqhlth.mib the temperature for a bunch of places in the server, but they are all bundled under 1 OID. Is there a way we can break these apart and get only the ambient temp etc? Thanks,
Opmanager not able to start
My Opmanager is failing to start after getting a database connection loss error message. I restarted the server and started the service. Then it says my database is corrupted. So I did a database repair. When I stopped the Opmanager service to repair the database. I keep getting this error message "myisamchk: warning: 1 client is using or hasn't closed the table properly myisamchk: MyISAM file mysql\data\OpManagerDB\topouserprops.MYI" How can I resolved this issue ?
Network Printers with Web Services
Hello, We have a number of networked printers that have their own web services (HTTP, FTP) that we would like to monitor along with the rest of the default printer monitors. It seems, by default, the Printers category does not have the option to monitor services like these. Is there a way to add this to the Printers category, or would I be forced to create a new group specifically for this purpose? How would I go about doing this? Thanks
