Syslog viewer - Almost impossible to see syslogs as they come in...............
Hi guys.
I'm trying to add a bunch of syslog rules in OpManager 9 to generate alerts as they come in from syslogs. Whilst the feature appears to work quite well once I define my rule etc. I'm finiding it almost impossible to actually capture a sample syslog message as it hits OpManager as they scroll past so quickly and there's no facility provided to view all logs received over a given time for instance. Also, I don't seem to be able to copy and paste the syslogs from the syslog viewer.
Can you please let me know if there's an easier way to see the syslogs and classify them accordingly? I understand the logs aren't written to disk as you'd expect from a standard syslog server, but perhaps it'd be possible to store say 5 MB worth in a local buffer for review?
