Unable to update Accounts in a request.
We have a number of requests that were incorrectly entered with just a Contact Name, and no associated account. I have now tried to associate an Account with the Request, by: 1) Editing the request and adding an Account, but when I hit save, it returns to the editing screen with no errors(I expect it to return to the view screen). However it DOES update the account, because if I got to either Account, or Contact and review this contact/Account, they are updated there. 2)Editing the Account and/.or
Account administrator creation problem
Namaste, I would like to know, why it is not possible to create a new role as account administrator, and just give account administration permission to the associated person, which means that he or she has to be able add or delete accounts, not just maintain them. As far as I know this option is not available in the current version. If you have any solution please provide to us. 8050 Folder Monitor doesn't monitor network shares
When attempting to monitor a network folder the following error is displayed when clicking "Test" Folder Existence Folder does not exist I've attempted the following without success: \\ServerName\Share\Folder \\ServerName\Share \\Server.Name.intra\Share \\10.x.x.xxx\Share\Folder \\10.x.x.xxx\Share If I monitor a local folder and click the Test button I'm shown that the path being monitored is a network path and it's successful. Site no accessible after upgrade from 7007 to 7016
The install package ran successfully. I closed everything out and restarted the machine. When it came back up the I could not access the site. It came back with a bad request. The service is running, so I am not sure what the problem is. It seems that there was some change in the tomcat setting with the update. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have left two voicemails with support this morning but have not heard anything. The online chat option is also not available on this site
Deleting a Vendor Relationship or Product

Merged requests don't function as expected
We have a fairly common scenario where emails coming unti SC+ are linked to existing requests but don't have the necessary reference syntax in order for them to be automatically merged with the request. This usually happens when a client was CC'ed on an email and responds to all on the original email recipients. Eventlogs Analyser 6 - indexes Hot and cold
Hello, We are facing some space available on our server where Eventlogs Analyser is installed. After Analysis, I discovered that there are folders called hot and cold in EventLog\server\default\indexes\, the space used by these 2 folders is very huge, avarage 1 GB per subfolder specially in hot folder. Is it possible to cleanup these folders or not ? How can I do it ? Is there within Eventlogs Analyser something to manage and maintain, clean olf folders ? Many thanks for your help. Best regards
Email attachment becoming main request.
Hi Lately we've discovered that when sending an email with an email attachment in it to a mailbox, after fetching it the attachment becomes main request and the main email is gone. In ServiceDesk it looks like normal request with nothing unusual, only because we have a copy of the original mail which was sent we were able to notice this. We're working on the Exchange 2007.
Network Scanning for Printers - Uses HOSTNAME for Asset Name, but has a 13 character limit.

File monitoring does not work correctly work within opmanager and once the monitor has been setup you cannot edit the file path
Just gone to set-up file monitoring to our file server and once you have set-up you can not edit the template to change the path. The alerts do not work correctly in terms getting a email as if you change the monitor to one minute you dont get the message after this time. Secondly if you edit the file with the text in it you dont get a email after 1 minute to say this has been changed please investigate and resolve.
After Upgrade to 8050 tables corrupted, run RepairDB.bat
I upgraded to 8050 today. When I go to login I get the classic Run RepairDB.bat from the bin directory and restart the server. I have stopped the sevices, run the repairdb.bat and restarted the server.....a couple times.....and I still get the same error upon trying to login to OpManager. Any suggestions?
Create request problem on SDP 7.6
Users create request and sometimes they can't do it. Just clicking add request and nothing happens. They have to try again - close and open browser (IE 8) or logout Windows and logon again. Clearing cache browser is not an issue. (7.6 build 7602) regards C.

HTTP status 500 error
Since we upgraded to SDP 7.6.0 build 7602 we started to recieve occasional HTTP status 500 exception report errors (The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.) white searching requests, updating a ticket, etc. Please help. Thanks, Denis
Anyone else using Asset management in SD Plus Enterprise with any success?
I am running into a significant amount of service oriented issues and wondering if anyone else has workarounds. 1. If you have a workstation (Dell in our case) and search for the service tag under assets it will not return any matches. a. If you switch the search field to workstation it does however work - resulting in a loss of time by having to switch multiple areas to search. 2. "Test Monitor" option under Alarms
When I view the details of an alarm, one of the actions that I'm presented with is "Test Monitor", but if I click this, I just get a pop up box with the title "Sorry! Scanning Mac (OS X) doens't get the serial number
Hi, I am currently testing SD+ 7.6 and it seems to have fixed problems relating scanning Mac OS X machines. While SD+ is now able to scan hardware and software info, it seems to leave out very important peace of information: System Serial Number. Without the S/N, there is now way to link the scanned machine to the machines already in SD+ (created manually or imported via CSV). Autocomplete of email addres not displaying correctly in reporting interface
Hi, I have just upgraded to build 7511 and I have noticed a display issue within the reporting pages. When I run a report and then click on the "Mail this report" button the dialog box appears correctly. When I then start typing an email address into the email field it offers a list of email address but displays then horizontally across the screen rather than vertically. Incredibly long time for backups after upgrade to 7.6 (7602)
I just realized that my nightly backups scheduled to begin at 20:00 are taking a considerably long time to complete. On average, they're completing about 5 hours later. Prior to upgrade, they seem to have taken about 15 minutes to complete. Is this a known issue with 7.6?
Update department in request when updating requester
If you update the department assigned to a requester in a request, the new department is displayed but reports run against that request will show no department. To correct this you have to carry out a second step of editing the request and reassigning the requester to it, this will allow reporting to work correctly. Surely assigning the department to the requester in the ticket should also update the ticket such that reporting shows it as being against the newly assigned department?

Inaccurate approval status
The approval status will not be accurate if you send two approval notices and one person takes action, then the status changes based on that person's action. For instance, if I send approval to Joe Manager and Joe Micro-Manager... and Joe Manager immediately approves the request, then the status changs to "approved" even though Joe Micro-Manager hasn't taken any action. In this scenario, I believe the status should remain "pending" in case Joe Micro-Manager rejects it.h Please let me know if this

modem stops sending SMS
Hi, I am currently on opmanager 8.22. I have a wireless multitech modem attached to my application to send sms alerts.However past one week, the modem hangs up intermittently. When i connect to the modem via hyperterminal and send an AT command and an SMS to the test mobile number it seems like some buffer is cleared and opmanagr starts to send smss again. The baud rate set for the modem is 9600 and that set on opmanager is also 9600. Could you let me know asap as this is on my production platform.
"Deleting Others Time Entry" permission is buggy
I just had a technician complain that he couldn't edit his own Work Log. I checked his roles, and after some testing, I've found that I had to enable the "Deleting Others Time Entry" permission in order for him to edit his own Work Log. Here are the problems I have with this behavior... 1.) Why didn't the tool recognize that it was his own Work Log and allow him to edit it? 2.) Now that I have granted him this access, he is likely able to edit\delete other technician's work logs. Not cool! Please
Upgrade from 7.5 to 7.6 . can no longer see requests
We upgraded from 7.5 to 7.6 and now none of the unassigned requests will show in the main page. Recent requests will show in the sidebar, and clicking on them brings them up. So the unassigned requests are in the database, but we can no longer see them. has anyone else had this problem? We have been logging in as local administrator.
Map Maker Problems in Opmanager version 8.0 build 8024
