Fix time setting on Desktop Central server
Can anyone help fix the time on my Desktop Central server? There is a post about running a java script, but it does not work. The post about this not working indicates to contact support. I did, but have not heard anything for a few days now. The server which this is running on has the correct time on it. However, the time stamp within the application is more than 3 hours in advance of real time. Thanks for any help you can provide. Chris
Windows Update settings with Automated Patch Deployment
What should the local Windows settings be for Windows Update if using the automated patch deployment feature of Desktop Central? I do not want to have a conflict with 2 patching methods. If Desktop Central policy is applied does it override the local settings or GPO that may be applied.
Possible to check NIC driver version?
Hi there. We need to update drivers for all PCs using a specific Intel NIC and driver version as there is a network-breaking bug. Is it possible to view this in Desktop Central? If so, how? Thanks!
Apple iPad Air not enrolling in MDM
We purchased several new iPad Air devices and they will not finish the enrollment process. We can do the self enrollment, email enrollment and Apple Configurator. However, after the initial certificate is enrolled, the device does not show up in the list of devices. It does not install the other profiles from the server either. Unable to upgrade to 90033
I am trying to upgrade from Desktop central 80295 to 90033 without much success. First, I tried upgrading from 80295 to 90002 using the upgrade pack. Once I did this, I tried starting the Desktop Central server and it just hangs in a 'Starting' state .. never starts or gives out an error. Next, I restored my 80295 from backup. Reinstalled the upgrade to 90002 using the upgrade pack, then immediately installed the 90033 hotfix. Tried starting Desktop Central, and again it just hangs (I waited about

Hi, Can you add "last successful scan" to the filter options When I look at the different systems missing patches I can add the column, last successful scan, however I cant filter for it. Has there been any thoughts on adding a chat capability to DC? We have several technicians and it would be nice if there were a built in chat capability where we could all collaborate. Dynamic Group Deployment Issues
Hi, I had a Dynamic Group set up based on whether or not a particular software was installed. This Dynamic Group had 18 computers in it. When I used this group as a target for a software deployment configuration, my configuration went out to over 90 computers as soon as I deployed it. It was as if the configuration completely ignored my target group and instead deployed to all computers. I do not understand why this would happen. Thanks

After Deploying patches computer asks for restart
I configured patching for windows 7 pcs, I chose the option "Do not reboot", even that the standard message of windows update which requires user to restart appears for users, some other pcs do not have this appear, I don't want it to appears to users. Can this be accomplished?
After upgrade to 9, local authentication is default login
We just upgraded to the latest version and local authentication is the default box on the main login page. I've looked and we don't have any local authenticated users. We want the domain to be the default choice. It was working as intended before the upgrade. Please advise on a fix. Thanks.
Uninstall software that requires password
Hi, We have in our company a number of software's that are restricted and requires a password to change settings and also uninstall. I had no problem installing these, however uninstall seems a bit tricky due to the password process- Anyone have a work around to this, is there a way to specify the password in DC and run the uninstall?

Daily Notifications of 'Addition of Hardware Detected' on hardware that has already been detected.

Java deployment still not working correctly
When I rollout any version of java, I always set it to only install during startup. Ever since 9 came out that setting is ignored and java is installed immediately on the target computers. Java then is not installed properly and a manual install is required. Java 7.60 just came out and I decided to test deployment. I am still experiencing the same bad deployment issue that I had with 7.55 and DC 9. I recently upgraded our build to 90023 and the issue is still there. Has anyone experienced the same
Inventory Scans Failed
Hi, I have been trying to scan the inventory for my PC and a few other laptops where a DC Agent in installed. However, it is always failing. My firewalls are disabled and I have done all the things mentioned in the troubleshooting tips. Any other reason that the scans keep failing? I have already managed to conduct a patch scan for all the devices that is managed by DC. Please help! Thank you.
Software-Inventory reports NO installation date for some applications
I need to know the installation date for applications I deploy using desktop central, because I have to make statistics showing how long (how many days) it takes to deploy a patch to all client machines. For Java and for Adobe reader, software inventory shows me an installation date - fine. BUT for Adobe Flash Player (both FF plugin and IE activex) and for Mozilla Firefox, DC's software inventory only shows me "--". And this is not a windows bug, because Windows "programs and features" control panel
Issue with Desktop Central build 90023 showing patches needed but the patches are already applied.
I have one computer on my network that all of a sudden showed that it needed 18 patches, even though the patches were already applied on that computer. I have waited several weeks hoping that another patch application might reset the computer but so far it still shows all those patches are needed. I have tried rescanning the computer and then reapply the patches and it always comes back that they are already applied but the computer does not come off the list for needed patches, it still shows

Hello, I know that this has been discussed previously in the past, but I really need the version of Apache that Desktop central is currently using 2.2.22 to be upgraded to the latest 2.2.25. User Account for Scope of Management Issue
If I use a domain admin account for the SoM, I can install the agent and have computer automatically removed from Desktop Central when they are deleted from AD. This is great, except that it is against our policy rules to use a Domain Admin account for workstation products. We have a user account that is a local admin to all computers, but when I use that account, everything fails (agent can't install, computers aren't removed, etc). Does this users need any special rights, like delegated authority
Slow Deployment Times with Desktop Central 9?
We recently updated to build 90023 and we have noticed since making the move from 8 to 9 that the deployment times are very slow to start compared to previous builds of 8, even when selecting "Deploy Immediately". All, I see many patches to Internet Explorer 11 that can be declined, but I don't see the Internet Explorer 11 installation update to be declined. Clearing Free Disk Space is Critically Low message?

How to go about software deployment once you have installed agents?
Hi, I have installed DC on a server that I remotely access through my PC. I have the DC Agent installed on my PC and another PC. I would like to push down a software from the 'Templates' tab to both these PCs. After creating the package from the templates, it is saved in the software repository's designated folder in the server where I installed DC. How do I go about pushing down the software that is saved in the server, to both these PCs? Please help! Thank you!
Problem Deploying Adobe Shockwave Player
I have setup and deployed Adobe Shockwave Player v12.1.2.152 from the template in Desktop Central. So far no matter how I deploy the software all I am seeing is retry in progress. I have tried running the software from startup option and at the refresh interval. I have also tried deploying the software with the system user and with my domain administrator account. Any help on this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Dynamic Custom group under All Systems View
In Patch Management and All Systems view, the filter does not show Dynamic Custom Groups. It does show static groups. I am looking to see what patches are missing only in my dynamic group of servers.

windows 7 task bar shortcuts
Hi, We have set up a config to change Desktop Shorcuts & Start Menu Shortcuts but we also need to be able to change Task Bar Shortcuts. We have found that the shortcut resides in "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar" but as far as I can tell there is no way to edit this in DesktopCentral. Printers - Servicedesk Plus and Desktop Central
Hi I have both SDP and Desktop Central running (both latest versions) however I am a little unsure of how to import the network printers into SDP, not the process but which system to use. The method I used previously was to do a network scan on each IP range using SDP however I am a bit concerned that Desktop Central will also import printers into the system and in some way duplicate the devices. Mac clients showing the wrong Computer Name
The Mac OSX agent reports the incorrect computer Name.
