Invalid User Credentials after demoting domain controller
I cannot login to Desktop Central 9_1_0 patch 25 after demoting a 2008R2 domain controller and adding a 2012 domain controller. Running command: 'set u' and 'set logonserver' show correct information for all. Can DC detect MS patches that are installed on a PC even if no DC Patch update has been released?
Need to know if DC can detect an installed MS patch such as the recently released KB3035583. We have PCs that have Windows Update active and this patch apparently has been rated as "unrated' and then upgraded to "important" and we think it may be now rated as "Critical". This means that WU will install it on many of our PCs. We are interested in DC detecting it (but we will not approvoe it - so DC not deploying) and then issuing the uninstall command and then hide the patch from Windows Update.

System Tools Disk Cleanup not removing internet cache files
Under Disk Cleanup options, I've selected all checkboxes except for: compress old files, recycle bin, remote desktop cache files, and system restore. Under Scheduler, I chose to perform task At Logon. After I reboot the target computer, I go into ...\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files and the files are still there. Am I missing something?

Standalone Client Desktop Central or Service Desk Plus
We have hundreds of workstations that we run the DC client on but we also have several that cannot be on the network. We want to get these machines into ManageEngine and maintain an inventory of them all for reporting purposes and data calls from the agency. We currently are migrating off of BelManage to SDP and DC. Post 9.1 upgrade, auto deployment task yet to deploy
I'm on day 1 after upgrading our site to 9.1. This morning's auto patch deployment job at 0200 of ~15 servers still has them all at "yet to deploy" (as of 0900). My concern is the scan detail for the patch deployment job was successful for all of them, but if I drill into any one server's details it shows its last scan time of last week. Applying configurations from the agent on the server appears to do nothing. I'm starting here in case I've missed something w/ the 9.1 upgrade. Thanks! Jess
New User - some questions/problems
Hi there, we are currently evaluating DC for our company. I've stumbled across some problems and questions in handling, so maybe you can give me some hints: Test in columns sometimes gets cut off really bad, so i.e. in inventory - I can see OS version "Windows 7.." but not the "...SP1 (x64)". Apparently all column width seem to be fix. OK, they expand a little bit, when I remove columns from view, but still some are way too big while others too small. Is there any possibility to change (and save)
Approved patches loose there approved status
I've been finding that once I approve patches they can loose their 'approved' status after a day or two. I've logged the patches I have approved (to make sure I'm not remembering patches approvals incorrectly). I've also checked the patch approvals I've made shortly after I did them (I haven't found any problems with patches not approving initially). I'm running build 91002. For example if I look at patch approvals today, I can see patch number 17556 (MS15-043 aka KB3049563) is marked unapproved.
Live Chat broken in 91002?
"Support -> Contact Us -> Live Chat" doesn't work anymore after upgrade to 91002. Clicking on the link does nothing in both IE11 and Firefox 37.0.2. I did work couple of hours before upgrad as I had exchange with the support guy through it.
Dll version not changing
Everyone When we install MS15-029 the following system file have to make the following changes | C:\Windows\system32\wmphoto.dll has not been patched | | Remote version : 6.2.9200.16492 | | Should be : 6.2.9200.17254 | But while deploying from manage engine it is not changing the version. I can physically see the patch is installed on the workstation. Any idea why is it happening? Anish

MEDC SDP integration does not work!
The integration between Desktop Central and Service Desk Plus, doesn't seem to stick. Also, after the integration says that is done, I don't see the inventories matching. The idea is to have only one agent working on each computer and I have SDP go through DC to scan the computers. It is not happening!

Dell warranty status failing on all machines
Anybody else having trouble with Dell Warranty statuses not being pulled automatically via service tag. Our installation of Desktop Central is new but it appears that our Dell machines are showing warranty as expired, the warranty date field is empty with a SCAN button. When clicked, no results.
Custom report for third party vulnerabilities
The existing report for vulnerable systems is inadequate, so I've turned to looking at custom reports in hopes it will be able to do what we need. This report needs to have only a few data fields. Ideally, this report needs to display the domain names, the software titles and versions, whether or not the machine is up to date, and the last time the domain name was scanned. Agent Install XP
Hi, I'm having issues installing the desktop agent on windows XP machines. Every time I attempt to push the install through desktop central it returns an error "Unable to get the agent status. Operation timed out." If I try to install the agent locally on the machine I get an error 1603. I know on previous releases of dekstop central it has been a known issue installing on XP, however im running the latest build of desktop central. (build details below). Stuck at Ready to execute
Hi We got a big problem with this software, and that is that the status of a configuration is very often stuck at "ready to execute". This problem is related to both software and patch configurations. I know the computer or computers are online, they got the client, firewall accept the right port, and software/patches has been deployed to them earlier. But suddenly, it stops working. Automate Patch - Around Microsoft Official Date
It would be ideal to have an automated process to deploy Patches on the weekend after Microsoft official patch release date. Deploy these patches to our Test Group. Then the Week AFTER we deploy the same patches company wide. Currently your only process is to pick 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Day of the month. Which does not work every month. Software Repository & Patch Store Location's are not Accessible
Just upgraded to build 91003. When logging in to DS the following error appears 'Software Repository & Patch Store Location's are not Accessible'. The DS machine does have access to these locations shared on a server. I just tested patches do download to the Patch Store. Reading an earlier post 'Error Patchstore Build No:91002' the 'DesktopCentral_Server\conf\websettings.conf' does have the correct locations for the swrepository.loc and store.loc. Not sure why this error is appearing.

DTC activity logging
I am trying to find logs of DTC admin/user activity. Specifically who would have removed a box from DTC. i find all sorts of reports for installed hosts but cant seem to find activity logs for changes made in DTC. Where is this information located?
When are new patches available?
MS releases new patches on the second Tuesday of every month. We would like to set up our patch schedule as quickly as these patches are available in DTC. However, we updated our patch database repeatedly yesterday and did not see any new patches available. This morning we do see patches released on May 12. We just need an exact time table so we can configure our Database update and patch scheduling accordingly. Thank you.

Our Desktop Central Server is running Build # 90145. On a Server 2008 R2 x64. We have two items to tackle. 1. Upgrading/Migrating Server 2008 R2 to a new Server 2012 R2 x64. 2. Upgrading Desktop Central. Questions. Do you have documentation on how to Migrate your Desktop Central Server from older Server 2008 R2 to a new 2012 R2 Server? Remote control issue
I am not sure if this should be in the SDP or Desktop Central area. But I have the two linked, and I am unable to remote control a computer from within SDP. The option is present, remote connection works within Desktop Central, but it will not work from SDP. What can I do?
User Account Control Settings - impact on DC scripts
Does setting the User Account Control to "Always Notify" prevent scripts to be run by the Desktop Central Agent? We have a non-AD deployment of DC and AD is not possible at the remote locations. MIke

On your service packs page, you are showing the availibility of DC 91003. However, when I click on the link to download, it shows DC 9 SP1. The readme shows the same thing. JMichelD
