Hi DC support team
We have recently installed DC in 5 different sites separately within our Org with different sizing.
In site 1, we have almost 14,000 workstations
In site 2, we have almost 8,000 workstations.
In site 3, we have almost 6,500 workstations.
In site 4, we have almost 3,500 workstations.
In site 5, we have almost 2,000 workstations.
The DC applications were installed in virtual machine (8 cores processor and 8 GB RAM + MS SQL 2012 DB on the same server) as approved by ME
Agent has been installed successfully in most of the clients and we are happy with the features that are offered by DC, however, the following issues were observed after the implementation:
- Sometime when we navigate to workstation detail and click on action, it took long time to drop down the menu and when you select for example system manager it opened new page and list all running processes within that workstation
- Sometime when you click on action and select for example system manager, it opened a new page but without showing any processes for that particular workstation.
- Sometime when you do a remote control, the user confirmation gets appeared to the client immediately while in other time it took a minute to show or it will give a red flag saying (Agent unreachable) although workstation and agent are up and reachable.
- Sometime when you try to refresh a red client, it does not become green even if you keep trying for the whole day, although workstation and agent are up and reachable.
To overcome the above mentioned observations, we have accomplished the following:
- Added all DC ports (8020, 8383, 8443, 8444, 8031, 8032, and 8027) to the allowed list within our Symantec Endpoint Protection system (firewall). And we did not see any block action toward DC traffics
- Excluded DC folder within the Server and DC agent folder within client from being scanned by AV.
- Contacted DC support team with no positive result Request ID :##14841025##
Nothing from the above actions was helpful as we are still experiencing the same said symptoms.
But when you stop DC service and restart again, everything becomes perfect for 4-6 hours and then goes back to same issue.
We are currently restarting the service twice a day, so our technicians can perform their jobs without complain
Can anyone help?
