Hi, I'm doing a trial of Desktop Central and have a few questions around patching. I have just finished updating my workstation and applying all patches reported as being required. I then restarted and rescanned my workstation with DC telling me I'm fully patched. Now when I run a Windows Update it tells me I have 12 important and 6 optional patches available. Hi, Is there a report or a way to create a report that will list from the current inventory of installed software what is not currently in the main Desktop Central database of software and patches? Patch deployment to remote office computers
We have a pool of laptop users who rarely come in to the office. Currently they are setup as a remote office so that we can enable reporting over the internet. Is it possible to setup a schedule for patch deployment over the internet for them or do they have to be on the same network as the DesktopCentral server for it to work?

Configuration will not deploy if no profile is logged in
I'm preparing a major application upgrade configuration. The custom script config runs perfectly if the computer is on and anyone is logged in. However, I need to get it to run even if no one is logged into the PC. Is there an option that I'm missing? Also, will Desktop Central wake up a sleeping computer with WOL? I'm having issues getting it wake up our laptops even though they're connected via LAN. Thanks!
Notify users on startup (SW deployment)
Hi folks, we just stumbled accross some difficulties while setting up our first configurations for software deployment: We would like to deploy software only on system start. That is because we have sales people, we do not want to disturb every 90minutes with updates (during meetings etc)... Inventory Scan - Not detecting installed software properly
Hello, I have noticed on multiple machines within my network that the scanning results for installed software is incomplete. Rescanning has no affect and it continues to display the same items. Many of which say that only 3 or 4 pieces of software are installed. Reinstalling the agent has not helped either. The total number of affected machines is unknown but I know at least 10 that have this issue. Any thoughts as to why the scans are only pulling partial information? I am currently using build
Restricting Find My iPhone
Will MDM be able to restrict the Find My iPhone feature on iOS devices? We want to be able to make it so that users cannot enable the Find My iPhone activation lock. The reasoning for this is that the user will sometimes lock a corporate iPhone with a personal AppleID. Then, when they return the phone after leaving the company, they do not deactivate the lock and we have to send the iPhone to Apple for it to be unlocked. Server locks up when Desktop Central service starts
I've recently inherited a server where the processor sticks at 100% and the whole box locks up anytime the Desktop Central starts. I do know that the previous owner had recently updated it and scheduled it to push out updates. Can not get a pc to inventory scan
I have a 1 pc in my inventory that will not perform an inventory scan. the only error I get is that that the scan failed. I had more than 1 originally then support told me to update to Build No: 91032. After updating all but 1 were able to perform the inventory scan. I uploaded the logs of the one machine and have not heard back from support since they said they would analyze it, this was over a week ago that i had uploaded the log file. my support case is Request ID :##14876513##. Push Skype for Business
Has anyone figured out how to push Skype for Business to off net desktops. We are on office365 and we lock down admin privileges. This has created an issue because End Users cannot click to load in the office365 portal without Admin privileges. Everyone tells us to use SCCM but we want to use Desktop Central to push it out and install just Skype for Business from Office 365 ProPlus . It will run along side of Lync 2010. I am trying to do some house cleaning and i need a way to identify if a particular host has either a list of files or folders on the drives. I cant seem to locate an appropriate task that will let me identify which systems have these folders on them. Is that something DTC is capable of?

Scope of Management Add Computers Clear All Option
There desperately needs to be a Clear All Option for the 'Selected Computers' section of the Admin > Scope of Management > Add Computer(s). Once you have computers in this list you have to manually click the little red X one by one to remove them. And no matter how many times you log out & log in.. Update the server.. Your recent selected computers are still there waiting for you. One of my Peers accidentally selected the entire AD OU. Now across ALL Admins we have 2,245 systems to clear from this

Patches Getting Approved Unintentionally
My instance of Desktop Central is set for Manual Approval of patches. I do not intend to approve any patch for general release until it has been tested - usually 30 days after release. I find now that several patches that have a release date of this week are marked as "Approved". The Approval Settings are set to Manual. The Action Log doesn't show any record of the approvals. Not all patches are getting approved and I can't find any correlation to which are getting approved and which are not.
Netstat Open Ports in DC
Is there any way to get open ports as reported by netstat into DC? I don't think its built in but is there anyway to get information from a script into reports or somewhere under inventory? Trying to capture this information for change management requirements we have after updating critical systems.
Do Not reboot selected but after software deployment auto reboots happens anyway
Hi All in my deployment policy I selected the Do not reboot option, but after the software has been deployed the machine auto closes any open programs and reboots the machine automatically. anyone urgently able to help, This cant happen when I rollout a number of software items to 300 plus machines. The user needs to be prompted if ok to reboot or tell them the update will not work until a reboot happens. Regards Aron

Report of DNS entries
We are trying to run a report to pull the DNS settings off each host. Each host has a static IP configuration. We tried to pull this using custom reports. I can pull IP info but do not see a entry for DNS. Is there another location we can exact this data from for all hosts?
