Query relationship help: Mapped Drive query
I have imported certain tables into Access 2010, and am building queries to do reporting. The current query I am trying to create is; what mapped drives does each user have. I have the Invmappedlogicaldisk table with 2 unique fields: USER_NAME & COMPONENT_ID What relationship can I link one of these fields to in order to correlate it with a valid user in the aduser table? If it needs to link to a computer and not a user, what is the relationship and to what other tables? Thanks.
Patch management for non Internet connected air gap network
Is it possible to use Desktop Central in an air gap network without Internet connection? Something like an external Internet connected Desktop Central server which downloads the patches and makes them available for transfer via USB keys to a Desktop Central server on the air gap network?
Errors setting up USB Security in company
Hello, we are using DesktopCentral for over two months now and are very happy with software and patch deployment. Now we want to use the usb security feature to do the following: 1. Bandwidth controls when patching/installing
I have noticed that I need to limit my patching/installing down to 10 devices at a time because the hit our LAN/WAN takes. I know you can limit the bandwidth on the remote site down to 64kb, which we did. However, I do not feel it is truly working as i am seeing my WAN burst to 40mb causing multiple issues. Has anyone else seen this issue, and what did you do to prevent it? Thanks, Dan

Migration from PostgreSQL to MSSQL Error
I am attempting to migrate our Desktop Central Version 8 database from the default PostgreSQL database over to a MSSQL database on the same server but am receiving an error when attempting to do so. When running changeDBServer.bat, with the migrate data option selected, the PostgreSQL database successfully backs up but fails when attempting to restore the database to the MSSQL database. I recently setup Desktop Central for a small office (14 computers) and they do not have a domain. I keep getting prompted from ManageEngine to specify an Admin password for the WORKGROUP but it doesn't allow me to save. The exact message is below. Patching results enhancement question
During last nights patching we noticed something i thought i might bring to your attention. If any patch fails the host machine will be listed as a failure. However during subsequent retries of the same patch the patch eventually goes to installed. Thats great for patching but the report still shows as failed. It would be great if the patch jobs could re-tally the results to update the charts once the job is completely finished.. from a practical or security stand point its a non issue. but when

Patch Deployment Problem
Hi i have some problem with patch deployment.the patches are deployed and the status says "Patch already Installed and the changes will not be effective until the system is rebooted.". no matter how many time i reboot clients and rescan for missing patches they will remain in this status. what should i do???

2 Remote offices using the same distribution service
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to have 2 different remote offices use the same distribution service? Example we have a office where the subnet is set for those computers to be under a remote office, but we don't have a distribution server there. We currently have this remote office using direct communication but this is not the most ideal as it will use more bandwidth going across the network than it would using a DS that is close to the remote office.

Schedule Agent Install
Hi, I'm currently rolling out Desktop Central agents across multiple sites for a customer. I have a list of desktops/laptops to install the agent on and have added this to the computernames.txt file. Running the the setup.bat file is fine during office hours, but is it possible to schedule the script so that it runs outside of office hours? This is so I can install the agent on desktops that aren't turned on until the evening or at weekends. I'm guessing this would require amending the setup.bat

What range would be considered normal for the log files on any client machine and how does it manage its size (number of days vs size etc)? Secondly, Is there a way i can manage that?
Login, feature access issues using web interface.
We recently upgraded the Desktop Central app to 91043. Yes, I know there is a newer patch, but we have not decided to install it yet. When I attempt to login to the application (using the system's admin account) I get nothing. It just sits and waits for a response. I have left it for 4 or 5 minutes before. Error - The specified server cannot perform the requested operation when trying to select computers in SoM
When I go to the managed workgroup under "SoM/Add Computer", I get "The specified server cannot perform the requested operation." This is an existing managed workgroup that I have added PC's and installed agent's through in the past. I have the most up to date build which I just installed hoping to fix the issue, to no avail. My DNS is resolving appropriately. Any thought on where to look next are greatly appreciated! -ddub :)

Remote Office IP and ports (WAN)
Hello, I got a couple of computers that's never in the office so I have to make a remote office configuration. I just wan't the agent to communicate with the server over https, could I only open up port 8383 in the firewall then? Or do I have to open the other ports to? Like 8027 and so on? In the settings for the remote office Desktop Central has the local server IP adress by default? Because it's there and I didn't add it. Could I just change that to the WAN IP or the domain name i configured?

Scheduling Patches
Build: 91058 I've scheduled patch jobs with reboots at 5:30pm so it's done after hours, I've been doing this since the beginning of using ME. For the past 2 days the jobs started at 4:30pm, needless to say the end users were not to pleased with their workstations rebooting with clients sitting in front of them. Checked: current time and zone is correct on ME computer, like all other workstations they are set with domain server which itself is correct. ME ->Admin->Personalize is exactly the same
Report on Hardware based on Installed Software
Hey, I have been messing around with the Custom report feature in Desktop Central and cannot seem to be able to generate a detailed report on hardware in a computer if they have a specific piece of software installed. So for example, for all the computers that have Microsoft Office 2013 installed, give me the CPU family, RAM, and video card. Is there a way of doing this and I am just completely missing it? Deploying a windows Hot Fix
I am trying to deploy a windows hot fix and running into some errors. Was hoping you might be able to tell me where i am going wrong. hot fix is KB973148 I downloaded and extracted the hot fix into a software package. Then i set up my deploy configuration And deployed immediately to one device. the job fails with a generic error code. We have deployed several hot fixes this way so not sure where i messed up or if there was a better way to deploy a hot fix. Sure wish i could do it in patching.

Hi y'all, I'm trying to apply service pack 9107 to a 9106 install of Desktop Central. I have always made a backup using backUpData.bat but this time that file is nowhere to be found on any drive throughout our entire 60 TB of files. I know this because being a fool, I searched anyways ... just in case I fell asleep at the mouse and inadvertently moved it or something. I even attempted to look inside all of the ManageEngine related archives .cab .exe and .ppm files kicking around but no dice. Easy

Trying to Add Network Shared Printer Configuration
I have been trying to add a shared network configuration and it appears that the Desktop Central server is not seeing most of the print queues that are published in the network. Is there a way to troubleshoot why these printers aren't showing up in the configuration?
