Unable to update Desktop Central - Service Desk Plus integration issue
We had a one year trial version of Service Desk Plus that we integrated when setting up Desktop Central. Due to reasons that could not be resolved by support, after a couple months we eventually reverted back to an earlier backup. However, we no longer use Service Desk Plus (nor is it configured for anything). However, our Desktop Central is telling us there are security updates, but when we try to download/install them, it tells us that we must use Service Desk Plus .... but we no longer use Service
Troubleshooting failed scans from Linux clients.
Hello, I have a series of Linux pcs recently installed with Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver. They are on a samba-based AD domain. Some of these machines used to have Linux Mint before being reinstalled, and the inventory scans were running fine. The Linux Desktop Central Agent agent is correctly installed and configured to point at the Desktop Central on-premises server. The server has the needed ports opened on the firewall and can see the machines, but is unable to perform an inventory scan. Our Windows
Agent is Offline on Windows 10
Build version is 10.0.56 . Most of the win 10 os are always offline even though we installed agent properly. But the other os such as win 7 and 8.1 are working well.if we reinstall it , it can be seen online for few hours.A few hours later , it's offline again .
Unable to edit Custom Groups.
I had created Custom Groups dynamically based on the machine names. Later on when I want to add one more criteria so that kind on machines are also added to the Custom Group, I am not able to edit the group. It seems the only option is to delete the group and recreate it which is a tedious task as I have a lot of such dynamic custom groups.
summary report on installed commercial software
I'm just looking for a report that displays in matrix style on the y-axis, a list of workstations/laptops names, users, groups. On the x-axis, a list of all the commercial installed applications with installation count per workstation/laptop with a sum on the bottom. I have at least 3 customers asking for this report. Are you able to help? thanks
Deploying a network printer and set it as default
So I have been able to use the IP Printer configuration option to add a network printer to a user/computer, and a custom script configuration to set the printer as the default. I want these to run automatically when a user logs into a shared PC. My question is, how to ensure the IP Printer configuration is applied before the script to set the printer as the default?
Desktop Central agent is offline on Win 10 Frequently

Desktop Central MSP Android Mobile App issue
An error message is generated when I try to connect using the Desktop Central MSP mobile app on my Android device. The message states - "Upgrade your server to Desktop Central MSP version 100225 to continue using the app". I checked the service pack page and don't see build 10.0.225, where's it hiding?
Put back "Next Run" column for Automated Patch Deployment
The "Next Run" column has to be put back in the dashboard for Automated Patch Deployment. I've created tickets about this that have been ignored. It was removed when the patch deployment schedule was changed. This is unbelievably inconvenient. It would be fine if you have 1 or 2 scheduled patch deployment schedules but I have a complicated Automatic Patch Deployment setup. Hello forum! I have an issue were DesktopCentral won't pick up certain software. Is there any way to add this software to the "Software" list on DC as like "User Added Programs" or something? I was also wondering if there is a way to find software on all machines that are listed on DC by the applications install location, executable name, etc.? Thanks for the help everyone! Much obliged!

Hello From my understanding when you remote control to a device it is done through the central server. We have sites in various continents with a local IT team and a local distribution server who have performance issues when remote controlling their local machines. Is there a way of utilizing their local Distribution server instead of going through the central server?
Desktop Central connect - SDP Connect: Notes, Work Log, Resolution recorded under wrong user
As the title suggests, I have the Desktop Central/SDP Integration enabled and working, however when someone disconnects from a remote session, and it opens the dialogue for work log/resolution/notes, the user enters that info, but regardless of the user logged in, SDP reports the user that entered the info as one particular user. I.e. Alice, Bob and Charlie are SDP & DC users. Alice & Bob end individual remote sessions and fill out logs; SDP reports that Charlie was the author of both Alice and Bob's

We are planning to reinstall Desktop Central on a new server platform as it is currently running on Server 2008. My infrastructure team has asked if ManageEngine supports running multiple server products on one VM - Desktop Central, ServiceDesk Plus and AD Manager Plus. Is this in the works to be added to the patch DB in DCentral? Microsoft has had it out for a while now and they are adding to it whenever Intel adds updates. Our patch DB is sync'd and up to date but i don't see this anywhere. Or are we going to need to add it manually?

Joing computer to company domain remotely
Hello, I am new to ME products, but I am looking for ideas or ways ME might already be capable of this action. Currently we image through ME, but the computers still have to be joined to the domain manually. We have multiple sites without a tech onsite, so its a hassle of shipping in multiple directions. Configure a Scheduled Task as current domain user

I'm trying to deploy a Task Scheduler entry that will run as whatever current user is on the system deployed to. i.e. if I deploy to PC TEST01 and Dan Mulcahy is logged in there, the task will run as Dan Mulcahy's domain account. It needs to be dynamic as I would want to deploy to 60+ PCs on the domain. If I deploy the Task now, it can deploy OK when set to run as the SYSTEM user but this will not run properly on the PC itself. If I manually update the Task on the PC to run as a domain user,

Is there a way to schedule a scheduled reboot but targeting a custom dynamic group? I have the computer that have the new version of Windows 10 deployed but the APD for this patch is not requiring a reboot so I would like to schedule a reboot.

best practices for Patching Windows Servers on a schedule using the new APD features
So i am trying to figure out what changes have been made to APD since .192 and how that effects my managed devices. My struggle here is we do not patch in mass. Instead we have a specific schedule for each device which has been arranged and agreed upon by Operations and the applicaiton owner. Schedule looks like this. Custom group A patches from midnight to 6 Am on Patch Tue +7 Days. Custom Group B patches at Midnight to 6AM on Patch Tue +12 Days typicly what i have done is on the monday before

My requirements isnt that we patch on just a certain day of the week like a Saturday but it be a specific Saturday. Think of it Patch Tue + 11. With the new option of deploy patches X amount of days past approval i thought i would be able to achieve this by the below config Job is set to deploy patches 9 days after approval. Below is the deployment settings. Since timing of Weeks is based on the 1st of the month I have no way to predict via automation which week the Patch Tue +11 is going to fall
