install and run multiple ME products on one server VM

We are planning to reinstall Desktop Central on a new server platform as it is currently running on Server 2008. My infrastructure team has asked if ManageEngine supports running multiple server products on one VM - Desktop Central, ServiceDesk Plus and AD Manager Plus. I have contacted the person I deal with on licensing issues and asked him to direct my questions to the appropriate person, but I thought it made sense to put the question out here.
is anyone doing this? if so, how are yo handling the DB needs for DC and SDP? MS SQL Express? Full SQL running on a different server?
I would really appreciate some feedback - positive or negative.
BTW-This is my first time posting and it's really unclear where this post is going to end up, so any advice on how to get it int he right forum / topic area is also appreciated.
