Make a Configuration run continuously?
Hi, I have set up a configuration but it doesnt seem to run the way it should. Here is what I did. I went to Admin \ Custom group \ Create New \ "Dynamic" The I selected "Software name" - "not equal" - "7-Zip 15.14 (x64 edition)" So now I have a dynamic group set with all pc's that dont have 7zip. I checked and this does update itself. Then I create a configuration, then I select "Apply to Specific Target" and pick "Dynamic custom group" and pick my 7zip group I made above. DC service pack download site says 92003 still points at build 92002
Hi, I downloaded and installed the latest service pack last week for DC which was build 92002, but yesterday I see the page https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/service-packs.html shows build 92003. However the links all appear to still point at 92002, the download file is the same as before (the Updater refuses to accept as well), and the read-me link only shows changes up to 92002. DC Agent Issues with Panasonic Tablets and Dock
We are having consistent issues after deploying the Desktop Central agent to some of our machines. We support public safety officials that use Panasonic FZ-G1 (mk1) ruggedized tablet devices. These users have docks in their vehicles and on their desks. When docking or undocking the tablet they are losing keyboard input. Restarting the machine resolves the issue, but we cannot accept this as a workaround. We have verified that removing the DC agent resolves the issue permanently as well. All
Run Check Disk on a schedule
I was wondering is there an easy way to run a check disk on all pc. I would like to schedule at a check disk to run once a month on our pc. Can I have this command run in the background of a pc at scheduled times? I looked in the configuration and didnt see anything to schedule a command to run silently.

Unable to update Patch Sync
I have struggled to update the patch sync since installing to try Desktop Central 9 about 12 days ago. We do not have a proxy server but a direct internet connection once authenticated on the domain. I have verified activity is not blocked by our firewall but the connection cannot be made. How to handle many configurations for inital setup
Hi @ all, we use DTC very intensively for client configuration, especially for the initial setup of a new windows client. Until now we have over 15 configs that need to be executed on new clients. These configs are already "collections" which take several steps. Other execute batch files, edit registry entries or use the user management feature von DTC. Deploying DC to all machines on network
Hi, I am looking at making sure all our machines within our company that are on our network / domain are showing in Desktop Central. Is there somewhere within Desktop Central that would pick up machines on the network which currently don't have the client, to allow me to push the client out to it, or would they need to have the desktop client installed on each machine for it to be picked up within Desktop Central itself? HP Computers Warranty Scan
Hello, I have a problem while deploying Desktop Central Professional. As I tried to find and scan all the HP computers in my AD, the system alert me that the system was not able to sync the information of the computers warranty for this brand. Had no problem with all other brands, but not particularly with HP models. Is there any problem with this model? Is it a restriction directly from HP? How can I resolve this issue? I will greatly appreciate your help, I would not like to deploy the warranty

Need a report of first contact with ME DC for computers
I'd like to get a simple report for the first contact of a PC to ME DC, but not the one under AD Reports, since most of our computers are in a Workgroup in the field. Hope this is an easy one. Basically, we have the ME DC Agent baked into our images which doesn't contact the server until the PC name changes. Works like a charm. What I need is a way to determine when a machine first appeared in SOM, as this report will give us when each PC was first deployed in the company. Thanks!
Patch approval by group
Is there a way to approve patches on a per group basis similar to WSUS? I want to just approve patches to a test group of PC\Servers and not blanket approve patches to all PC's / Servers.
Auto Patch Deployment, Can Anyone Help?
What we want to know is if there is a good way to go about this...We have a "Test Group" created to scan, download and deploy all windows and third party apps. After about a week without any issues we would like to deploy those patches to the rest of our network. As of right now we are doing this by selecting all machines in "All Systems" and deselecting the patched machines.We then push the remaining updates out that way. 100% cpu on managed Windows Server 2012 R2 servers
I find that after a scan of my servers, some of the Windows Server 2012 R2 machines remain consuming 100% cpu. The only workaround is to kill the process Microsoft Windows Scripting Host. I have attached an example screen shot. I strongly suspect ME DC is causing this, probably when it's doing a patch scan. (or something like that) Has anyone seen this before and have a fix? Wildcard SSL Certificate
Can anyone tell me how to import a pre-existing Wildcard SSL in PFX format? When I try to do it from the Import SSL Certificates window, I select the cert, put in the password and submit. I get a message that says that Intermediate Certificate Chain is missing. I do not get any prompts to install the Intermediate Chain. Any advise would be great. Thanks
Adding a Distribution Server
I currently have a remote office that has about 200 computers connected to our main DC Server. I would like to add the Distribution Server option to one of the servers at that remote location. My question is: can I just go into the Edit Remote Office page of that remote office and then enter the server information under the Communication Details? Will the agents update automatically? Or do I need to create a new remote office and move the computers to that new remote office? Thanks
