DC do not update the primary smtp
Hi If I change the primary smtp address of a user on the MDM still remain the old one. That because the users assigned to the device is not update with AD and you can't manually change the email. If I deploy an exchange profile it will get always the old smtp to update it I need to re-enroll the device. is there a way to keep it update? Thanks regards Stefano
MDM Exchange profile deployment on Android
Recently I noticed that you fix the issue in deploying an exchange profile on an android device. The issue was a problem with password field that if I left empty in the profile, on the device I received a credential error and I can only delete or retry. Now it works, but only if the device is connected in the same LAN, if I am outside the company I didn't receive the forms to fill the password on the device. Thanks Regards Stefano
On the MDM Location Data screen highlight if the device has not signed it's location in a long time
Hi, The new Location Data view you recently added to MDM is great however it would be great if devices that that had not synced their location in a long period of time were highlighted. For example in the screenshot below I have two Apple devices, one last shared its location 2 mins ago and the over was over 30 days ago. You can click on them to get the data but something like changing the background colour of the icon would be good. Thanks
Procedure to Uninstall MDM Andriod Client?
What is the procedure to uninstall the MDM client from an Android phone? The user put in a wrong port during the install and the device is not enrolling. Reinstall doesn't work. I'd like to totally uninstall the client and start fresh.

Hi, I have Desktop Central Server version 9.0.1.43 and ManageEngine MDM version 9.1.25.S installed on android phones. Now I faced with problem during associating profiles with these phones. If I try to use any restriction policy, I have following error: “Error occurred during install restriction policies”. Does anyone knows how to correct this?
Desktop Central MDM access path
Hello, We are actually testing the MDM integrated with DesktopCentral. Could we know what are the access path used by an IOS device to communicate with the Desktop Central MDM? The idea is to restrict (by whitelisting or by blacklisting) the remote access on the Desktop Central server (which is accessed by reverse-proxy), so nobody can access the administration of DesktopCentral and so the mobile users can still fully use MDM. Restricting Find My iPhone
Will MDM be able to restrict the Find My iPhone feature on iOS devices? We want to be able to make it so that users cannot enable the Find My iPhone activation lock. The reasoning for this is that the user will sometimes lock a corporate iPhone with a personal AppleID. Then, when they return the phone after leaving the company, they do not deactivate the lock and we have to send the iPhone to Apple for it to be unlocked. Hi, since last week when the version 9.0,90 was released, my iphone 6 battery doesn´t last more than 3-4 hours. Before this update, the phone was working normally for 10 hours with no charge needed. Server Not Reachable
Hello everyone, I've started to deploy MDM Desktop Central in my company after evaluating the product three month ago. It worked fine for Android devices but now I'm having some problems. MDM why can't I search "groups & devices" by S/N & IMEI?
It seems strange that under Inventory>Devices I can lookup devices by serial number and IMEI but I cannot do any changes in regards to the profile or group that the device is in. I can scan it, reset passwords etc but not change groups. When I try to find the same device under Manage>Groups & Devices to assign or change a grouping/profile then I do not have the option to search for device by S/N or IMEI (unique identifiers) Why is this? Editing NAT Device FQDN
Hi, When I configured the NAT Device setting initially in the MDM I did not use a FQDN and instead used an IP address. I now have several enrolled devices and would like to change this to use a FQDN. When I attempt to make the change it gives me the following warning: Editing NAT settings will affect the communication with the currently managed devices. Mobile Device Management rights for non Admin users
Greetings, I'd like my techs to have the ability to add and remove mobile devices within the different groups we have setup. I'd also like them to have the ability to scan mobile devices and perform wipes; however, I don't want them to have admin rights to the entire DTC. Other roles take away their ability to do other functions concerning computer management within the solution. Am I overlooking something here, can this be done? Thanks, Dave
APN Update
We are due to renew our Apple APN within the next 90 days. When we renew and apply to Desktop Central is this seamless to the end user - i.e. are they prompted to accept a new certificate on their Apple device?... Many thanks, Alan.
Windows Notification Service (WNS) is not Reachable
We are seeing the error message below in Desktop Central under MDM / Enrollment. Anyone know what this is? Did not see this before today. Maybe a port that needs to be opened? Windows Notification Service(WNS) is not Reachable! Desktop Central is not able to reach WNS, Contact Support with the server logs.
MDM app on S4mini
Hi We noticed that the App "ManageEngine MDM for Samsung" is no longer supportd on S4mini GT-I9195 Android ver. 4.2.2 and ver. 4.4.2 We also tried the ManageEngine MDM, but when we do the enrollment we received a message error that the App is not designed for Samsung SAFE devices. Issue with MDM
MDM devices enrolled does not work through GSM. If I want to reset a passcode to a device that has the MDM agent on but connected through GSM, It fails. For example: A work Iphone can be resetted within the work network LAN and WIFI. But If someone stole the Iphone and connects the Iphone via GSM to access internet somewhere else, why cant we apply security locks or passcode reset to that particular phone. We have been using Desktop Central for about a year now and i would love to start using the MDM features. My company has concerns about opening the "Desktop Central" server which has remote access to all of our computers, to the internet. One idea was to run another install of Desktop Central on a separate server just for MDM, but i would like to avoid doing this. I saw an option to block jailbroken phones. How do we block rooted phones with MDM in desktop central? What happens to the device if they violate a policy setting? Does it go out of compliance and remote wipe, etc? Are there settings for that?
Bulk Enrollment of mobile devices
Hi, I know I can bulk 'enroll' devices on the MDM but I would like to know a bit more about the process. To give some background... I have 125 Samsung android devices that I need to enroll which are going into the field as a data collection tool. MDM iOS enterprise application creation and distribution.
I have an enterprise iOS app which I have successfully created and pushed out to the app catalog on the iPhone. I used th procedure described to retrieve the BundleID and application icons. When I attempt to install the application, the following error displays on the iPhone: Unable to Download App. "Launcher_global" could not be downloaded at this time. I have successfully deployed an app store application to the phone. Any assistance appreciated.

IT Security is asking me to look into a potential solution that will block all unathorized mobile devices to be pluged in (thoruhg USB) on any desktops that are on our network. Can MDM help us accomplish this? We have users with mobile devices thjat are issues and we want those to be authorized devices but we want to prevent people from plugging in personal mobile devices that have not beeen authorized to work pc's.

Apple iPad Air not enrolling in MDM
We purchased several new iPad Air devices and they will not finish the enrollment process. We can do the self enrollment, email enrollment and Apple Configurator. However, after the initial certificate is enrolled, the device does not show up in the list of devices. It does not install the other profiles from the server either.
