Problems with patches
I send a patch that was implemented as a task and it was registered, but upon entering the machine should be installed where the patch was not installed, the operating systems of the machine is in Spanish and is installed in the desktop is in English

Desktop Central 6 Client crashing on patch deployment

Patch Install
I have check to install patch after reboot. Not both boxes, but yet I get this message. Why would it say OR in 90 minutes refresh policy. When I didn't check all above and only check after reboot? " MyConfiguration109 has been Modified and Deployed successfully. The configuration changes will get applied in the next reboot of client computers or in 90 minutes refresh policy. " Thanks Michael
PC Redundancy/Duplicates in Inventory
Is there a way to automatically search for redundant computers by mac address or computer name? We have a situation where our desktop image is built with the Desktop Central agent installed (so it's there when deploying PCs). These PCs automatically report to the DC server and get added to DC inventory before they're added to the domain. They when the get added to domain, they report again creating a duplicate inventory entry. Is there a utility or option to filter duplicates out? Perhaps by serial

Is there a way to tell Desktop Central that systems are not unhealthy when we decide not to install a patch that has a conflict with one of our other software?

I am trying to install our first software via DC. I have an EXE for Adobe8. If I run this package on the command-line with /q then it works. If I do the same via DC I get errors in the local agent log. We are using DC 6.0.0 with latest agent from that version on XP in an AD environment. Can't see login user
I can't see who the login user is under the remote pc. I like to see the user name on the left. It's there but with a NA then pc name then IP address. I just update to 6.3 today. Mike
Patch Schedule
I have asked this question differently before with no answer so here it is again reworded. How do I specific a patch to install at exactly 00:30:00? I DO NOT want it to start 90 minutes after 00:30:00 or whenever it feels like it. Does anyone have any idea on how to promptly make this product work? -Joe

Remote Control fail.
Hi, I'm new to this software and I seem to be having problems trying to deploy it onto my test network. I can not get remote control to go onto anything other than the local host machine (win2k3). I've tried the suggested KB links, running the agent install with the VBscript files via CSCRIPT to no avail. All NAT policies, to my knoweledge, are correct. I've tried with the firewall disabled on the remote machine and still nothing. I've tried to remote into the following: Windows 7, same domain AD

I know this is for beta OS, this is just fyi. agent reports that ms08-030, ms08-052, mswu-091, mswu-163, and mswu-165 are applicable to Windows 7 when they are not. this is probably due to the beta reporting itself as vista ultimate edition gold right now. again, just a heads up.

I keep getting this error message Unknown Error. Code : -3 on a number of workstations when I am attempting to deploy an application across our network. Whatever the error is, it is causing the deployment to fail. Can you advise what the error code relates to so I can try & work through the issue?
Add image file to local PC and make it new backgroud
Our company is re-branding itself and would like us to distribute a new .bmp file to c:\windows and then change the windows desktop to this new image. Issue creating network software and script repository
I have 2 shares: Software Repository and Network Repository Both have Share/NTFS: Everyone/Auth Full control located on the same server as DC When I go explore to the network share DC says access denied and will not 'see' the shares. I'd like to see the ability to have the DC agent watch for inactivity on a managed desktop between specified hours for a recurring shutdown job. Remote Office
Hi I am struggling a little with this one. I have installed Desktop Central on my Home PC. I have a dyndns account setup with the agent running on my PC. I have created a remote office, downloaded and installed the Agent onto a remote server which is miles away. My PC is not part of their domain (Home PC) I have opened port 8020 and 8383 in the Router and pointed it to the servers internal IP Address. Is there a way to call apply computer config to currently connected PCs on the network from DC? I would like real-time (or close to) feedback of which computers are powered ON and connected. macintel
add new computers to launched config
If I add a new PC on the SoM, a running config does not automatically add the new PC to the config. For example, if I have a running patch config and I add a couple of PCs to SoM, the new PCs are not added to the list for the patch install. Thus the patch does not get installed on the new PCs. The only workaround is to create a duplicate job. An option to quickly duplicate jobs would also help. macintel

I thought for sure there is an option to reboot after a software deployment, but I cannot find that option anywhere. Am I missing it?
