System driver updates
I'm sure this isn't an easy task however I was curious if there were any plans to perhaps include driver updates into Desktop Central? I am also curious if current DC admins push driver updates and mind sharing their experience.
Bind DesktopCentral to IP/FQDN
I am attempting to bind the DesktopCentral server to a specific IP/FQDN without success. I'm able to successfully bind to a specific IP on the host server, however I'm then unable to access DesktopCentral via the FQDN. I would like to run DesktopCentral as well as ADAuditPlus on the same server with both using port 443 for web console access, but until I can get this resolved I'm stuck. I was able to do this with ServiceDesk Plus and there are instructions to do the same for ADAudit and ADSelf-Service
Patching Openshift 3.11 node
Hello, We have been using for Desktop central to manage our Linux patching strategy. Recently we have added an openshift cluster (13 nodes) in our environment, but in order to deploy the patches, it's required to run a shell command to prune the node before the patching and another one after to reschedule the node. https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/3.11/upgrading/os_upgrades.html is there a way to instruct Desktop Central to run a shell command (before and after) deploying the patches

How to keep "In Store" assets from getting changed by the system...
Is there a way to keep "In Store" assets from being altered through scans, etc. automatically? They are getting changed to In Use to the last user it was assigned to, even though I changed it to "In Store". Once "In Store", it shouldn't be changed until we pull and assign.
Dell BIOS update
Hi, The patch notes say "You can now patch your BIOS for DELL devices with Patch Management. (Build 10.0.422)" -- I'm very interested in trying out this functionality, but I can't find anything relating to it in patch management. Are there some additional steps required to activate it? Thanks!
How to register users to computers
I was task to go into our Active Directory, under Users and Computers, and for every computer, assign a user under Managed By. I wonder if there is an easy way to do this in Desktop Central or AD Manager. Thanks!
Remote Control - Two Network Card in Computer
Hello I'm new in this community. Right now I am testing Desktop Central 10 Remote Control and I faced the problem. The PC has two network adapter. One adapter is for external network use and other is for internal. My Problem is that I can not connect with this computer from Tools > Remote Control > Connect although I can scan PC from Inventory > Scan Systems > Scan Systems or Scan All and the scan process finishes successfully (Scan Status: Success & Remarks: Scanning Completed ) Is there any way

I've been poking around in Desktop Central's OS Deployment module, and looking through the manuals, etc. All that I'm finding for the most part are articles or five minute videos that tell what the product does, not how to configure it correctly. WAN Facing DC servers
Hi all, We're doing a POC with DC to potentially replace Ivanti EPM and a requirement moving forward to have off-site machines patched as soon as they come online since some users have infrequently used machines kept at home just for when they travel or have an office closure. Can DC be architected in this way? I would want it to be able to dynamically switch between being an off-site device and an internal device as they employee travels.

Separate Patches For Servers
Hi, I'm beginning to set up patch management for our endpoints with Desktop Central. However, I'm a little hesitant in regards to servers. Is there a way to separate what patches are approved for certain servers vs. others? I have to schedule updates at different times for some servers in production and they can't be updated at the same time as others. I'm wondering if there's a way to create different groups with different approved patches and installation times? Thank you.
Manage Chrome Extensions
Is there a way in Desktop Central to manage extensions installed in web browsers, specifically Chrome? I would like to be able to at a minimum run an audit of what extensions users have installed and ideally add and remove extensions as needed from Desktop Central. Does this functionality already exist or is it possibly on the road map for the future?
Merging two DC installs
My company recently acquired another company that also uses Desktop Central. This document covers moving DC from one server to a new server, but the steps don't make sense for combining two existing servers. eg, step 6 says "Manually copy the Desktop Central installation directory named DesktopCentral_Serverand paste it in the new computer" but this would overwrite my existing files, and I'm not sure tat's what I want to do. Speeding up software population in the Self Service Portal
I've published a few applications that are available from the Desktop Central notification area Self-Service portal. Is there a way to speed up the population of the software titles. On a freshly installed DC agent, the software list populates immediately. On a PC with an existing agent, it seems to be about 24 hours before the software populates in the list. Is there a way to speed up this so that users are able access the software immediately or within an hour of publishing the title? Thanks

Hi All, We have been performing in-place upgrades of Windows 7 to finish up a couple lingering PCs. We have noticed when the PC is upgraded, the inventory page for that machine in DC errors out with the following error. This happens for Windows 7 -> 10 and for server 2008 -> 2012 R2. We use Dell image assist to image computers. I was wondering if there was a way for desktop central to automatically push software and configurations to these machines when after they get the agent installed. Without me having to deploy them.

Scheduled Shutdown Task Alerting and Reporting
Have been using the "Schedule Shutdown" tool in DesktopCentral for a long time for monthly server reboots. Have more than 40 tasks now all with varying Days and Times. The biggest issue with this has been the lack of reporting and non-existent alerting. Is there any way to configure alerts to be sent if one of these Scheduled Shutdown Tasks "fails"? After update to 10.0.450 Patch Mgmt SystemsView Table Size decreased
After update to 10.0.450 the size of the SystemsView Table decreased. Half of the browserwindow is blank. Can't use Browser Search for complete Table. Using only first half of the window for a table and presenting a blank screen at the bottom is unefficient, inconvenient, and makes it more difficult to get a comprehensive view. Question/Idea: Dashboards per remote office
Hi, I really like my main dashboard view, and I pay close attention to the Network Status and System Health graphs. My problem is that I have two 'offices' configured -- 'Local Office' which is all my desktop systems on site, and 'Laptops' which is for mobile devices. In my environment, it's very important that I keep the 'Local Office' up to date, but 'Laptops' are less important. It would be extremely useful if it were possible to change the 'scope' of the main dashboard to a particular office/scope-of-management.

I just install new server for test (trial mode for 30 days) and I have problem with upload files to patch repo. my steps Going to Patch mgmt and Download Failed (Patches)(5) I can see list of patches i failed status. However we have an issue with the WAN Clients that are connected through Direct Connection (Not Distribution Server) where the Live Status is Down! Hi all I'm new to desktop central and have inherited a system (desktop central server 9, agents are version 9.1.96.w) that was installed in 2015. I believe it was working at one point. I do not have the password to login to the current desktop central server portal. The password reset isn't working either. Hi all! I'm running an eval of Desktop Central and I'd like to see how the integration with ServiceDesk Plus works but I'm not able to follow the instructions for the integrating the UI. The document here (https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/help/configuring_desktop_central/ui_integration_with_servicedesk_plus.html) says I should see a "Desktop Central" link under "Admin > Integrations" in SD+ but it's just not there. I see other products like Jira but no SD+. Am I missing something?
