DTC Server replicating issues to Distribution server
Having issues all of a sudden with the DTC server replicating to the Distribution Server. Replication Cycle finished with some failures Anyone seen this \ fixed it. Have raised ticket but not getting much response.
Filtering Custom Groups fails to provide results in Patch Manager windows
Is anyone else having issues filtering custom groups in Desktop Central. This is frustrating when I am trying to schedule patching of a group and I can't filter the custom group I need to patch. When I try to filter the group all I get is a whiteout of the computer list and my custom group never comes up. I am getting this behavior in both Firefox and Chrome browsers. Please let me know if this is an issue that is fixed in the latest hot fix. Constance

Unable to see some customize groups in Inventory report
I created a custom group and I want to filter by software for this group and retrieve report. But when I go to 'Inventory' report => 'Software Usage by Computer' , I could not see the group I have created. Also noticed a few other groups are missing. Anybody face this issue?

DC OS Deployment - problem with duplicate Device ID
Today I tested DC OS deployment < and now I have problem with windows 10 and duplicate device ID. SID was generated during deploy but device id is stil the same on two pcs. And now ServiceDesk asset can see only one pc and changed pc name only. Is anyone can explain me how to prepare correct pc for image.

We just purchased Desktop Central and I have been asked to install and manage it. Where do I begin? Is the a good document or training video for setting up a new system? I'd rather learn and set it up correctly vs getting frustrated fast. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Dashboards for Patch Mgmt. Anyone have one?
What options does one have for a dashboard for patch mgmt.? I used to use a PowerBI dashboard for patch mgmt at my previous job. Currently, I have to provide reports to my manager every 2 weeks and a monthly report covering everything for the previous month and the current month just finished. This is very time consuming to have to pull 9 different reports, filter items, create the pivot tables, etc in Excel. How easy is it to use PowerBi with Desktop Central? Removing Distribution Servers
Hello, I have 5 Distribution Servers configured in my Desktop Central environment. Since several of my remote offices are very small I would like to remove the Distribution server in those offices and have them communicate with the local office over our MPLS. Do I just simply just remove the remote office and the IP scope which is configured? Will the agents automatically start using the local office as their point of contact?

Supported Patches -Pop Up on Download of a patch
Today, I got an alert from CISA (National Cyber Awareness System) about Adobe Acrobat DC Update. I went to Supported patches saw it listed there the one we need. When I went to download it (Accessing Desktop Central through Chrome) blank pop on my screen which basically said that it was waiting on the server. Is this typical or am i missing something in my configuration?

Modify Configuration Re-Deploys already installed software?
When we setup a configuration, say called "Base Software" and we add a whole site to it along with a list of packages it works great to get them all installed. But, if we make a change to that configuration i.e. adding or removing a package desktop central is re-installing every package completely which is very undesirable. Is this by design? Can we not use the configuration as we visioned, "Base Software" that automatically gets applied when a new PC enters the site (the scope of the configuration).

We're deep in our trial of Desktop Central. I'm seeing what I consider odd behavior on newly added windows machines. I add the DC client to a machine, and the first thing that happens is that for any applicable APD task, the machine goes into the "patching complete" state in APD no matter how many patches it has lined up. It then stays in that state until at least the next vulnerability DB update, and sometime after that runs patches. This can take up to almost a day unless I force the patches.
Automating VS Manual patch install by schedule question/issue
Since i'm new to Desktop Central, I have been reading the documentation and watched a few videos. However I am still a little confused on how the automation of patches works. Right now, i am in the process of cleaning up our environment of missed patches as well as going forward, installing patches on a time based schedule. Currently, this is what I have done: Created test deployment policy. Set Mon- Fri each week, 6am to 5am Initiate deployment is set to Either WOL & Download Patches are checked.
