Hi, I am testing DC server and I have problems accessing to DC server from localhost to manage it. Unable to Uninstall Ver6 Agent
When I try and remove Desktop Central 6 agent from add/remove programs I get a "fatal uninstall error" and the program cannot be removed. Tried using Desktop Central 7 to upgrade the agent or remove it and this does not work. How do I force remove or clean up an agent install on this computer. Thanks, Jeff

How do I re-deploy failed software installs
I have some software deployment configurations that deploy fine on some computers, and fail on others. Some of these configurations have 3 MSI files to deploy. Sometimes all of the MSI files fail, sometimes one or two fail, sometimes all work fine. Sometimes I re-deploy the configuration, and it deploys fine during the re-deploy operation. Questions: 1. Trouble connecting agent with server using WAN agent
Hello all, I am trying to use a WAN agent to manage a server at a remote site. I specified the WAN IP address for the DC server. However, it does not connect to the DC server, and the agent status is listed as still needing to be installed. Does anyone have any ideas on things I should check to troubleshoot this problem? Remote office as alternative to Hamachi?
Hello, I am using Desktop Central to administer the servers of clients of the company I work for. Previously, we used Hamachi to (as I understand it) generate a VPN in which all the servers were on the VPN. I was wondering if there is a way to administer these servers without using Hamachi. I am reading in the documentation, and it seems that setting the servers up as remote offices might be the answer. Is this correct? What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing this? It seems to be hit and miss. What option do i need to select that will prompt a user if they are logged in that they need to reboot to finish installing patches. Seems sometimes people get one. Sometimes they don't.

Old backups
My Desktop Central Server folder is getting huge. Most of it is from old backups. Do I really need to keep backups from last year? Do I really need more than a couple of backups? What can I safely delete? Thanks - jsbac

Is the remote control software in DesktopCentral the same application as the remote control software in ServiceDeskPlus? If so, why do I sometimes have trouble running the remote control in one, but it works in the other? If not, why isn't it the same package? If they're different, I basically have 3 remote control software programs installed on the same systems - Windows Remote Assistance, DesktopCentral remote control and SDP+ remote control? Hi, I'm trying to manage a remote office across a VPN using the direct method (no distribution server). I've created the site and installed a client by running the .msi file I downloaded from the site page. The installation seems to run fine, but the remote system doesn't show up in the Desktop Central Admin SOM site page. I am trying to install Adobe Reader 9.13 to workstations and servers. When I apply the installation package to a Server 2008 x64 I get the following error, "The handle is invalid". Timeout in Software Deployment
I am attempting to push out XP SP3 to a test computer. It is failing after approximately an hour with the Remark "The wait operation timed out". I can bring up Task Manager on the test computer and see that during that hour SP3 update is running in the background. I checked the computer.log and the resulting log that gets created (the last one was 16506.log - I have emailed these logs to support). Problem with Probe
Hi all I'm having an odd problem with a Probe for one of my clients. Well two problems actually, though I'm not sure if they are directly related or not. First - the probe does not seem to be detecting all the devices on the client network. The site has 6 servers and 40+ desktops and yet the first time I ran the discovery it only picked up 20 devices.
