REST API not so RESTful
Hi, I was very disappointed in using the REST API because it breaks the RESTful paradigm in many ways. The methods are specified as part of URLs, whereas methods should be HTTP methods POST, PUT, GET, DELETE and such. URLs should be composed of verbs like "monitor" or "alarm" rather than function names like "AddMonitor". Result values should be HTTP return codes. On error the HTTP call should return 4xx or 5xx, not HTTP 200 (OK) and a response message containing the error. IMO creating a monitor
Connecting to App Manager with Mobile App
We are running the current build of Application Manager (10510) and would like to utilize the new IOS app. We are not currently able to access the system via the app on port 8443 or the standard application port of 9090. Is there anything we need to do by default to allow connections by the IOS app? How could one change the port that the IOS application service runs on? Thanks in advance!

Migrating applications manager to higher version OS possible or not
Hello all I have applications manager 9 , licensed version installed on Linux centos 4.4, Now I have to migrate the entire server , I will follow the steps in one of the forum post ( http://forums.manageengine.com/topic/how-to-migrate-application-manager). But my new system has OS : Centos 6.2 , So will this not create any problem in migration ? And please confirm do I need to install the same version of app manager with same build number , Will this affect the migration? Thanks Niyati
Setting up Alerts
Hi I have recently installed the Trial to test for my company, however i am having problems getting the alerts to work. Actions are enbabled on monitor groups, and in the admin settings, the configured action is to send an email. However this will not come through. I know the mail server is fine as the alarm escalation service works fine, and i know the alerts are working as i can get it to log a service desk job through the same alert. Any ideas?

Bulk Import for Servers using SSH key-based authentication.
This page (http://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/issues.html) indicates that Version 9 (9400 Build) has the following enhancement: Bulk Import feature for servers added in SSH Mode using key-based authentication. Does anyone have the proper syntax to use for the csv file that you import? I cannot find documentation on how to indicate SSH key-based authentication in the import csv file. Thanks!

Application Manager Microsoft .NET No Application Available
Hi, I'm a new user of Application Manager and still on 30-day trial version. My problem is i have created a new monitor for Microsoft.NET (sort of remotely monitoring) and connected to my app server, I can view the Threads, Locks, and JIT but the .NET Application Details says "No Applications Available". Please help what else do I need to install or configure to be able to make it working/monitoring. Thanks!

The only option I see under the Admin > Commands/Alert configuration is the following: 'Execute commands repeatedly in case the state of the atribute is Critic or warning (until it clears)' Any chance I can personalize that? Performance issues (Running 2008R2 64-bit)
Hello, Anyone having performance issues with this setup? Any link that we click takes 5-10 seconds to load which is unbearable. Load factor is 0.0 in 'Support'. Machine is running in VMware with plenty of dedicated resources, otherwise I guess load factor would show it also.

Hello, we recently upgraded from APM 8.x to 10.5 and have some problems with a couple of monitors. We have about 12 old Windows Client monitors and also made like 10 new. All of them have the problem that no response time is displayed (like it did before, even the window for displaying is active, but no data in it). We are trying to use business view of our monitors under Firefox (9 and 10 alike) and Win 7 64Bit but no monitor nor group icons are displayed. A test under IE 9 and Chrome worked, all icons are displayed correctly. It also works with Firefox under Win 7 32Bit. Is there a special option to use business view in Firefox?

Problem With Script Monitor In AppMgr 10.3
I'm having a strange problem with Script monitors in Applications Manager 10.3. Symptoms: 1. The monitor dashboard does not display the current status of the data contained in the table. The data used to show up prior to upgrading from ver 8.6. 2. The monitor reports that the Health is critical even though manual inspection of the data shows that all attributes are within the "clear" threshold. 3. To show the query output alteast one primary key has to be selected.To select a primary key click the "Primary Keys" link in the top of the sysDataCache table displayed.
