Setting up Alerts

Hi

I have recently installed the Trial to test for my company, however i am having problems getting the alerts to work.

Actions are enbabled on monitor groups, and in the admin settings, the configured action is to send an email. However this will not come through. I know the mail server is fine as the alarm escalation service works fine, and i know the alerts are working as i can get it to log a service desk job through the same alert.

Any ideas?
