Issues adding work logs after update to 8.2 build 8200

Trying to pass a url to the description portion of request but can't escape an ampersand that is in the url. So far I've tried "%26" - & and also & Any ideas? New Worklog Behavior
The new worklog behavior has a lot of potential. The 81xx build behavior would populate the Executed Time with the current date/time if none was submitted. The 8200 build now populates a createdtime field that isn't visible in the UI by default. I have a few issues with this 1- The change now breaks existing reports that rely on the time field. If I don't manually enter something in starttime, then the data won't show up on the reports. createdtime is not always the same as starttime. 2-
how to record MS Data Center Licenses and assign the Server licenses correctly.
HI, we are running all servers in an VM-Ware environment. For the physical Servers, we have purchases Data Center Licenses, so al Windows Server Licenses of the Virtual machines should be covered. I have linked the virtual servers in the CMDB to the physical servers. Is there a way to let SDP know, that the windows server licenses of the virtual machines are covered? Custom Asset Fields carried over from custom Requestor Fields
One of the cool features of the Asset tool in SDPlus is that when you assign an asset to a requestor the asset will inherit the department, site and region of the requestor. If I set up another custom requestor field that I import from AD, can I have the asset inherit that field as well? Say for "Division" Thanks!

Using API for requesting assets
Hi, I'n a newby in SDP. Api documentation (REST-API) includes sending template to add request information. However, there is no template for services, only for incidents. Our use case is to be able to request for application access rights which are configured as products/CI's in order to have certain relationships between CI's. I would imagine there is a way to request any kind of products (workstations, keyboards etc) in just one request. In our case it would be just taking advantage of this structure.

Hello Service Desk Support We have a site running ServiceDesk 8.1.0.8105 who are having some issues with automatic updating of assets in asset explorer. There are two issues we are currently facing. Cannot Login via LDAP authentication
Hi, I am using LDAP authentication and LDAP server type is "Microsoft Active Directory" and work fine. Recently we have changed the Microsoft AD structure and move some accounts to another container. ServicedeskPlus - API - unability to close user session
Hello, we have got small problem with servicedesk api. We have external application, which creates new requests in our SDP instance. It authenticates via one technican account. And there is a problem. Each request creates new account session and doesn't close it. How can we close this sessions automatically? The connection from our c# code is closed after request. 'new scan' in assets/workstations
Hello, I have problem with manual scan of one workstation. Previous I did domain scan and I found some workstations which weren't added by this scan. Then I used 'new scan' and added the workstation(for example pc01) scan was successfully done, and then I did 'new scan', It was successfully as well(pc02), but previous workstation(pc01) disappeared workstations list and assets. External Database
Hi, I would like to know if SDP has the option to get external data from another database. Example, I made a template where the user has to input the license plate and name of the owner in two additional fields I made, but this info is in another system that uses MS SQL and right now they have to input it by hand. Stop People E-Mailling Requests
Some or our users e-mail the address used by the servicedesk instead of logging into the portal, this then leads to a long list of job that do not have a category What is the best was to stop them doing this, i wanted to create a Business Rule, that would reject these but also send an e-mail back to the requester asking them to log it via the portal. Prevent Public Domains from Scanning Permanently
I have two Public Domains that I want listed on the logon screen, and as such I have two domains listed as public. However I do not want both domains to be scanned. I only want them to be listed on the logon screen. Is there anyway to accomplish this? The reason being is that it is adding assets from active directory that are no longer active using up all of our asset licenses. Hi, I am trying to update the email field for all Requesters in one batch, and I am so far astounded by how bad Manage Engine is at doing this. I have exported all data into an XLS document, added the email addresses I need, and then saved the document as CSV. How to add dates to database columns
Hi. I want to update the ACQUISITIONDATE column in the Resources table. As the column only accepts BigInt data I want to convert the relevant date to this value. I have tried converting the date using SELECT dbo.unix_timestamp('2008-09-14 00:00:00') which returns the value 1221346800 However, when I update the column and view the data in ServiceDesk it displays Jan 15, 1970 If I convert 1221346800 back to a date using SELECT dbo.from_unixtime(1221346800) I get 2008-09-14 00:00:00.000
