Case attatchment in autogenerated mail
Hello, I have a question: When we assign a ticket to a group an automatic mail is sent to an adress saying that a new ticket has been assigned to the group. That works fine, we added the fields we wanted so the responding group can monitor a mailbox and see the tickets rather then logging in to the system. The problem is that if a ticket has a file attatched to it I can't find a way to get SD+ to send that attatchment along with the autgenerated mail to the groupmail. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

Dashboard Report - SDP 7.6
Hi, I liked the older dashboard report better than what comes with the new SDP 8.0. It gave us a good comparision of new tickets vs closed tickets and outstanding balance per week, day, and month. Is it possible to get that report in the new SDP 8.0 ? I dont mind having it available as a report that you go to and physically run on need basis. thanks,

Active Directory user importing
Hello! I want to report a problem. Situation. We have a multiple domains in our organization: domain1.org.local and domain2.org.local. In domain1.org.local we have user domain1\user, and he was correctle imported into SD. Then we create user in domain2.org.local with name domain2\user. He created incorrectly: in the "domain" field in SD selected "None" by default. I have to correct it manually. Please include fix for this issue into next update patches. Thanks.

Inaccurate "Processor Name" in Assets Report
Now that we've finally updated to SD 8.0 Build 8009, we're testing out the Asset Inventory module. One of the things we've come across is that the CPUs in some of our modern HPs like our HP DC5800's with Core2Duo being reported as Intel Pentium III Xeon processor and HP 3130Pros with Core i5 being reported as Intel Pentium II processor. Hi Everyone, I have found some weird issue for our install of Service Desk 8. We have a domain, we'll call it domain1, that is setup to allow active directory pass through. All of our requesters were imported from it when we were using service desk 7. Their domain shows domain1. hi. when would be able to include the function where we would just be able to paste a screen dump or image directly into the request or when adding notes. It just seems a waste of time having to save the image as a file then upload it into the request. We previously requested it and the version 8.6 and still no response. Gracias.
Query to show requesters with no request history
Hi, Can I have a query to run in the report module or in MSSQL2005 to show all requesters who have no request history in live or archived requests? Two separate queries if necessary. Windows 2008 Server SP2
Noticed that there is a Service Desk Plus active icon in task bar on Windows 2003 server. Not seeing Service Desk Plus active icon on Windows 2008 sp2 task bar This is making it difficult to ensure that SDP service is running without having to manually go into the services option on the server to verify the service status. Any thoughts?
Removing Scheduled Report
We have a scheduled report that generates an email. Unfortunately, the person that set this up marked it at private and is no longer with the company. The report is a simple time report of what they had worked on, but I can not find it in any list of reports. The report is generated, sent to her old email and the undeliverable notice is returned to our helpdesk email that creates a new ticket everyday. The Report's name is Altaf's status report but the bad email is Sadat's (sshaik).

Date Formats for Reports
I'm writing some custom reports and I just need to understand the date fields so that I can manipulate them. When I look at a date such as WorkOrder > CREATEDTIME the field shows as a number field with numbers like 1,278,473,558,292. I'm not sure how that relates to a date and how to then convert that into an actual date. Can anyone advise? I'm using Crystal Reports.
SD 8007 - Group not set
Hi, Since we upgraded to SD 8007, emails are not getting sent when requests come into our group. We see that the issue is that when a reqest comes in, its group is no longer set to our predefined group name for our incident templates, it is not set at all hence no mail comes in. We have the group field mandatory and visible to technicians but not to requesters. Problems in SDP
Hi, 1.For my network templates i have added a new field, named as "IP address" in incident template and Service Catalog services as a numeric. Whenever a requester adds the IP address suppose, say "10.100.13.89" then it doesn't takes the value entered. It shows an error as "Please provide the numeric value for field". What to use for 'None' when running a report against a Multi-line or Single-line additional field
I'm trying to run some reports that will show me all of the tickets that exist where a custom Request - Additional field is not empty so that I can determine how often the field is used. Let's say we have a custom single-line field called "Phone". I have tried running a report that filters the Phone field by: Phone Is Not 'None' (I've also tried without the single quotes.) When this report is run, it still shows me tickets where Phone is "Not Assigned". I've encountered this issue with both single-line
Data Truncation exception when creating new Request Filters
Hi All, Just a FYI post of an issue that I came across recently. We had a couple of users reporting that when trying to create a new custom filter for requests they were being presented with a 500 error and a stack trace. Upon investigation of this error the root cause of this was found to be a Data Truncation SQL exception when inserting the row in dbo.Criteria (this is on MsSQL Server) After looking into the logs and finding that the LOGICALREPRESENTATION field on this table was set to nvarchar(300)
