Hi, This might be a feature request, however just in case there's something we can tweak in the system, I'll post here. The Email screen within SD+ has an auto complete option. Which is �quite� handy, however we are finding a few issues with the it. 1. The drop down selection contains AD users and customers so the list excessively large. 2. Adding more that one recipient to list is quite awkward because SD+ doesn�t add a separator. 3. Back to point 1, we feel that there is a very high risk of a technician

SD+ 7.5.7502 Locks up when associating asset to requestor
Since 7.5.7500 through 7502, when ever we try to associate an asset to a requestor the interface (IE) locks up. At that point all that can be done is to close the kill IE. This happens for all technicians wether they are Admins or not. It also happens when working within IE on the server. As an admin if I got through the Admin tab, to Requestors, find the user and click the Associate Asset button it works fine. But not through the asset tab which is where the Technicians would always do this from.
Contract Notifications
Hi, I have set up several contracts which I have asked for notification. I have two which were set to alert me 10 days before expiriy. However, I didn't receive any notifications. I have checked the email side of things to ensure SD can send and receive emails and this is all fine. Any ideas? I am using SD 7.0.0 Build 7017 Kind Regards Sharlene
V7.5 - Unaudited Workstation - No check boxes
If you access the Unauditted workstation page from Troubleshoot on the Asset home page it will list the workstations it failed to last last time round. There are three buttons, SCAN NOW, CHANGE CREDENTIALS and DELETE which require you to select one or more of the devices listed, however there are no selection boxes on the page. Preventive Maintenance Requests Disappearing
We have several Preventive Maintenance requests set to be run on a weekly and monthly basis. The Preventive Maintenance request runs and the appropriate requester, technician, and/or group gets notified, but then when you go to look for the request ID in the system it is not there. The only way to use the Preventive Maintenance function (and not have the request be deleted from the system), is to select the red arrow and not rely on the scheduling. Anyone else experience this?
Changing a workstation to a server
From scans in previous versions we now have a number of servers logged as workstations which we want to change. When I go to Modify Type (in Assets, Workstations) it gives me 'Modify Device Type. In the pop up box that field is currently "PowerEdge SC420" which on the asset is the "Product Name". Where do I re-assign a workstation as a server please? Thanks - Terry p.s. v7.501
Mail Sending Failed
Hi Everyone, i have problem with sending e-mail from ServiceDesk Plus. the message that i get is: "class javax.mail.MessagingException: 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated" In "Mail Server Settings" ii have setup the correct settings. I am 100% sure that this settings are correct, because with the same settings to Outlook Express i can send e-mail. Recently we have upgrade our mail server from Ms Exchange 2003 to Ms Exchange 2007. 6.0 vs 7.5 Benefits?
I am new to ServiceDesk Plus. I have been asked to review 7.5 and provide analysis to upgrade or not upgrade. I know this is most likely a can of worms, however with my knowledge level of the product I thought I would ask those who have been using it. What improvements/advantages does 7.5 bring vs 6.0? Reading this forum, it appears that 7.5 is rather buggy and unstable. But we generally only read posts by folks that are unhappy. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank

Helpdesk - Notification Rules not working
My incoming and out going mail server settings are fine, i can receive request via emails. But the notification rules are not working. and in system log viewer the error comes "Exception while trying to send notification for the request."

V7.5 SP2 - Report logo not showing
The fix in SP2 for V7.5 has fixed the ACEM name in the top right of the reports but I'm still not getting a logo at the top of the reports. The logo is bigger than the recommended ( 470 x 67 ) but it works fine in V7 sp22. I've tried reimporting the logo as well with no joy. Regards, Andy

External Emails
Hi All, We have a small issue where we can not foward email from SDP to external smtp addresses who don't have a contact. When attemping to do this the "Sending Notification Fail" message pop's up. Is there away to send email to an smtp address that is not a contact? Cheers John

I have been unable to find where a user can create a Change Request. Is there a way that i am missing or do the technicians have to "change" the "incident request" into a "change request"?

Cant save templates after making changes
I made a change to a request template. Saved it. then went back to make a second change. I am unable to save any additional changes. When i press any one of the save options at the bottom of the screen nothing happens, and nothing new is saved. this has happened three times - on the first template, i deleted it and started over, and it happened again. and then i tried another one and it "failed" the same way... Any ideas?

We are running this script from the login script in our domain, for some reason it just stopped working today with the error (Access Denied, msxml3.dll 8007005). I have done some searching and found similar errors which suggest changing the line set http = createobject("microsoft.xmlhttp") to set http = createobject("MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP") this seems to have solved the problem and the script is now working again.

Servicedesk 7.5.0 Remote Assistance Security Breach
I have just installed servicedesk 7.5.0 with the latest build (7501) and have got the remote assistance working. however we cannot go live with this feature as it is a massive security breach as the user gets no notification that someone is viewing their screen. Please can some sort of message or popup be included in the next release that the user can click on before an administrator is allowed to control the PC- we are currently stuck on version 7.0.0 build 7022 and cannot upgrade due to this 'feature'.
SDP 7.5/7.5.01 Unable to log in after logging out
I have upgraded a test system to 7.5 and then 7.5.01. We are using AD passthrough authentication and the problem happens on any IE version or operating system. The problem doesn't happen on build 7022. The problem I'm experiencing is that when a user logs out of SDP, they are unable to log back in. It comes up with the message "username or password is incorrect" which is absolutely not the case. The correct domain is selected. Anyone else experienced this?

Additional Request Fields
Is there a way to create additional fields in a Request and then specify which section of the Request under which the fields would be placed? For instance, I would like to add a field for users to input their Cube Number in the Request since they move frequently and we don't attach that information to the user profile. This field would be most appropriate under Requester Details, along with their name, but instead it is placed under Category Details with the Category, Sub-Category, and Item fields.
Can not login to Service Desk Plus - domain not found
I have installed SDP version 7.5 and after trying to import Active Directory users I am unable to login as administrator or guest. Login screen shows "domain not found" in "Log on to" list. When I click "login" button popup window appears with message "undefined". Screenshot of error message is attached I am setting up production environment to release for user testing. Due by Date changing to Jan 1, 1970
Hi, I upgraded SD Plus to 7502 from 7501 and i noticed that all the requests with priority "Very Low" (priority with no SLA), the Due by Date changes to Jan 1, 1970. Earlier, this used to be blank which was the correct thing to happen. Please help to fix this. Regards Samad

When creating a templete for when a reply is received for a request, I have the subject set as the following: Ticket: [##$RequestID##] Replied: $Title Now, one would expect that "$Title" would be simple the Subject/Title of the ORIGINAL request that $RequestID refers to right? nope. $Title is a running history of all the previous SUBJECTS of the emails. Example: I create a new request with the Subject simply "test". and suppose I reply to a ticket that has the following Subject: Ticket [##2833##]
