List of issues that have been reported in migration of 7022 to 7.5
Error while taking a backup when the 7.5 migration patch is applied.
This was the most occurring problem and has been fixed and an updated patch has been released.
Most of the other issues that had been reported regarding migration failure are as follows.
'Exception while inserting NULL into GlobalConfig'. This happened in 3-4 customer environments. When we got the data and migrated it ourself, it went through successfully.
Some of the issues that got reported could occur when the service pack is applied more than once on the same setup.
In some of the cases, customers had modified the data directly in the database causing the migration to fail.
One another case is when having a \' as part of Category / sub Category or an Item name, will cause the migration to fail
