Easier to import ae_scan files...
Some times I go to a job site (these can last for a few months to over a year) and I will run ae_scan on the systems there to have an updated "scan" of that system. Now there can be several of these files, especially if I visit multiple sites. When I get back and want to add them, I have to add them one at a time. Is there an easier method or can an way be programmed to import several at a time.

In the current inclination it is impossible to pull up a report on time spent tickets by site unless you manually create a query which means you lose the grouping and summary options. Please include SITE in ALL reports. Thanks!
Software Assets Issue
Hi, Just wondering if there is a way to get the assets, mainly the software group, up to date? We where doing an audit and noticed a large portion, of the 1550 detected software on the network, did not exist on a machine or on the network anymore. Yet it stil appears under software asset? I can see no button to perform a 'new scan' or 'clean out expired items'. Hello, I import about 5000 new resources (not it, asset) to service desk 7.5.0 Build 7509 from csv files. I have about 2000 users from AD in service desk. I want to assign that users to resources. I have in excel columns resourceownerid, resourceid,userid,deptid from service desk database. How are IT Assets calculated?
How are Assets tracked by the asset cap for your SD+ purchases. Currently we are allowed to have 250 assets max. We are receiving errors saying we can't add any more assets because we are at our limit, however, under assets view it says we have a total of 252 assets: IT Assets Workstations 80 Printers 3 Routers 2 Servers 70 Others 97 How then, are the 250 assets calculated? Is it just the first 250 names that are listed under "IT Assets?"

Request Templates: Should have option to have "Add Assets" disabled
If the customer portal is used, within Request Templates, it should be an option to configure SDP to disable "Add Assets" in Requester Details, or even not to display requester details at all. For secuirty reasons, there is a case for portal users NOT being able to All the assets within the enterprise.

there is no attachment in outgoing mail from SDP server after 7509 update
I have my custom report that by shedule task send to my e-mail every day. Since Iinstall 7509 update I get mail but without attachment (report in xls format). Request mail I get normal (in my request no attachment at all). I install ms office outlook on SDP server and configure SMTP on it. Save local my xls report. Create mail and attache xls. Send it. I get mail with attachment. This say that my mailserver (Exchange 2007) work fine.
Column Width - Solutions Page/Listing

Disallowing, or notifying end users of Remote Control
hello! We are very excited to see the remote capability built into 7.500! Thank you. However, as it stands now it is a security risk to allow all technicians to be able to remotely control all computers. In order to mitigate the risk of unauthorized desktop access via the Remote Control feature of release 7506, we would like to see a option that will require the the end user to consent and allow to desktop sharing. OR, we would like the option to not use the Remote Control feature. Thank you very

Group E-mail ID Problem
I wanted to set the Group E-mail ID for one of my groups, but it refuses to save with a particular e-mail address. Here are fake/equivilant details to help explain... The e-mail address that I want to put in there is itsupp@lists.place.com When I try this one, I get the error message, " Group updation failed". When I try it with any other e-mail address in that field, it works just fine and gets saved. For example, I can use these and it works just fine... itsupp@place.com AnyOther@lists.place.com
Update Workstation name if it changes, remove old assets when they dont connect after x ammount of days
How does It keep track of machines when it scans the network. can it ask to update the workstation if the name changes, also update the users if they change. Machines get re purposed all the time and this should be part of the import script to update credentials just like it updates software. Also can it have a way to remove assets that no longer connect to the server in an x amount of says. optional to do it.
Multiple Groups in Free Mode?
Hi. SDP will not let me create a second group. When I click the 'Save' button, it keeps telling me "Group name already exists". 1. Is there a limit to the number of groups that can be created with SDP in free mode? 2. Is there some kind of limit that won't let a technician be in more than one group? Any ideas? Thanks.
Attach Files to Assets
Hi, does anybody have an idea how to attach a PDF to an asset. I want to keep track of my printers. Whenever one is maintenanced by an external partner, I receive a piece of paper about which things have been repair, who has done it and when it was done. This paper is signed by the technician. I want to scan this paper and attach it to my printer asset. This way all my staff can have a look, when a technician comes again nd repairs the printer again. How to show full address in SD7.5
Hi I need to show when creating a new request the full site address. At the moment when we select a site it will show the only the site ID. I have changed the site so name with the full address but if only shows fully if you set your browser to 1680 x 1050 etc you only get a portion of the address if your display is 1024. Is there any way only you select the site to show all the site information on the request/ticket ? Thanks

In contracts list, we want to add and edit new contracts filters and change the predefined ones. This is needed to manage a large list of contracts efficiently.
Customizable column width in Contracts module
This is a general problem of ServiceDesk Plus and a real mess. In Contracts module, the "Subject" text is always abbreviated with "..." after 20 characters, even if there is much more free space in the column because most other columns have been disabled.
PO# Start From to Include Text

Emails that generate tickets, is it possible to auto complete some field types?
Hi If an email comes into the Service Desk from a specific address (i.e mailserver has blocked an attachment) is it posssible to set criteria so that some of the fields in the ticket are auto completed? Can "Warranty Expiry Date" and "Acquisition Date" be displayed in the workstation list view?
Before the "Warranty Expiry Date" field was added in the "Resource Info" section of Workstation Configuration, I'd created my own "Warranty Expiration field" under "Additional Info". Well, I'd like to get rid of that now however I've been keeping it because I can't seem to display the "Warranty Expiry Date" or "Acquisition Date" in the view that shows all of the workstations. Extracting email histroy from SDP database
We need to extract the email history for all incidents frmo ServiceDesk plus. However i can not find any table where this is kept. I have looked in WorkOrder_Threaded, but this doesn't seem to help. Can someone please tell me where to find this information in the database?

SD 7509 Workstation, Servers, product name only appears for servers and not workstations
hi all my servers are hp proliant servers, under the product type they are classified as servers and not workstations but when i click on workstations i cannot find them under servers but they are listed as workstations (desktops in fact) when i click on edit a particular hp proliant server under model section the drop down list is not filled out, when i click on the drop down list the proliant server type is not listed (but it does exist under products as product type server) when i click on edit
