Active Directory Integration
I'm evaluating the product and I really like what I'm seeing so far. Your asset management tools look quite promising, but it feels like your help desk components might be missing things we're really looking for. I'm concerned that it appears that while you can pull user information from Active Directory, that you do not currently have the capability of providing users from AD the ability to log in to ServiceDesk with their AD username and password. This is a must have requirement for our company.

Windows SNMP install script
I have 400 windows 2000/2003 servers that I inherited from the previous Server team. None of them have SNMP installed and I need to get it done ASAP to take full advantage of OP MGR. Does anyone know of a script I can run to install it in an automated fashion on all servers?
Opmanager 5.6 /monitor exchange 2000 N/A status
Hy, i installed the new version of opmanager on a test server. version 5.6 of opmanager. the problem is, that monitoring exchange 2000 does not work. the server i would like to monitor has follow settings: windows 2000 server with exchange 2000, wmi is on the system activated. i have add the exchange 2000 monitor (wmi-based), the domain-admin pasphrase is in operation exchange server health is ok, but all other services had an N/A status,(screenshot2) i has test the monitor for some services , example:
New mapping device "Wireless"
I have added all of my devices for monitoring & the mapping sections are intuitive except my wireless devices. They don't fall into any existing categories. My request is could it be possible to have a Wireless device mapping? I know you can create business views but this gets a little complected for helpdesk staff for monitoring purposes. Cary
Discovery - Resolving IP Address
Is it possible to prevent the IP addresses discovered being resolved to a DNS server. Reason is that we use a public IP address structure on our internal network (purely historical) and are internal devices are showing with external domain names. Damian

Hi! We monitor about 40 firewalls with SNMP, and i need to be able to check that they all have the correct firmware installed. I've tried to add a custom monitor that reads the system description via SNMP (it returns "Clavister Firewall 8.50.02-PRE006V"), but I'm unable to set any kind of threshold on this value, since it not an integer. Attachments handling on open request
Hello, I'm testing the Service Desk to see if can suit my needs. We use attachments for complete the description of the request and I got 2 question about that. When you Forward the Request the attachments are not included, there isn't the possibility to include that "field" in the "Email Template". Currently having a bash with the linux version of this great little product. I'm currently running Suse 9.3. The status reports the server has been started and that you can connect to http://localhost:8080, however no process is using port 8080, nothings opened it and you can't get a connection to it. The firewall is disabled, hosts files seem okay. Is there anything else i can check?
How to implement the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB in Solaris Platform?
Hi all, I try to use Application Manager to monitor a Solaris Machine. However, it fails because the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB is not implemented in the Snmp Agent. Could you tell me how to implement it in Solaris Platform. The UserGuide just tell us how to install snmp agent in Windows platform. Dropped Packets
I just installed NetFlow Analyzer 4 (4011). I would like to be able to get graphs of dropped packets from the input/output queues. Is this possible? Does NetFlow Analyzer have the capability? Does a cisco router with netflow enable even export that data? Thanks, Chris
Oracle Server remote connection fails
I am unable to create a monitor for Oracle Server form a remote location through Application Manager but there is no problem connecting to the same Oracle Server with SQLPLUS for the same remote location OR creating a monitor form the local network where Oracle Server is located. HTML Emails
Hi, We currently have an issue where if a user sends an email to the service desk and it is HTML formatted, when it gets picked up by servicedesk, the requests list gets blanked. There becomes only one request listed, which has no subject or text in it within the list. To resolve the problem we have to edit the request and remove all of the HTML, then save it. Webportal for Opmanager and ServiceDesk Plus Info
I have been very impressed with the capabilities and the layout of the web interfaces for both products. We are looking into providing a web portal for our users on information related to our Department. We would like to be able to pull the status of certain servers from Opmanager and display them via a webportal. Also, have that capability with ServiceDesk Plus. By any chance could there be a Webportal for these products in development. If not, is there any way we could have a lending hand on making

Grouping interfaces on Multiple Routers
I am currently evaluating several different Netflow reporting Products. I like the look and feel of this product (using the on-line demo). One requirement I have, is to be able to group interfaces from different routers into one report page. I have a fully meshed backbone with 2 routers at each site for redundancy. In order to view all the traffic in & out of a site, I need to be able to select 4 interfaces on 4 different routers (2 for in & 2 for out). I do not want to select the WAN & LAN interfaces

Hi, I don't know how doable this is, but: Let's say I'm on the "Application tab" for a given interface, with the nice graph and the table of applications underneath. When I click on an application, I drill down to see source/dest IP addresses, etc. My feature requests are: - To see both source and destination ports in the table, like you'd see in a custom report. Perhaps "Source Port" and "Dest Port" could be added to the "Group By" dropdown to enable you to show the kind of table we have at present.

OpManager on ISP environment
Hi, I try to use OpManager on ISP environment. We've a lot of router and each router have more ip/interface. We've CISCO 7xxx, CISCO 72xx, CISCO 65xx, CISCO 3600 around 25 nodes up. Now, I try to add each node into OpManager. But it detects my CISCO router into Desktop. How can I corrent this ? Please advise me, how to optimize OpManager on large network environment. OpManager Hangs on Startup
We had some issues with the server hosting OpManager and now when the system starts up, OpManager tries to load and just hangs. I've attached a picture of where it is hung up. How do we fix this?

AppManager Server Performance
Do you have any general recomendations for improving the performance of AppManager6. I am running on 2 XEON 3 GHZ processors and 4GB RAM When pulling up statistics for a monitored Weblogic instance it is taking 5 and 6 minutes. Allocate more RAM for MYSQL or Webserver. Things like that. Thanks
