Cannot read NT4 domain controller event logs
I am getting "event service down" on my NT4.0 domain controllers in OpManager. The user/password I specified is in the Local Administrators group for the domain, and I can login as that user to another machine and access the event logs on the NT4.0 server. Is there anything else that needs to be done to get this to work? None of my event log alerts are firing off.

domain scan lockup
hi there great piece of software. but i have a problem..... I cant do a domain scan or ip network scan. I can scan individual PCs and pull off all the information, so DCOM is working. Also tested using net use\\<remote pc>\c$ /u:<domain\username> "<password>" and net use\\<remote pc>\admin$ /u:<domain\username> "<password>" and these report no errors. I can think that its a DCOM erros as each PC can be scanned individually and everything is fine. All that is reported in the log files is ERROR MESSAGE

Problem with demo ?
Hello; I do not know who this issue needs to go to. I recived the cd with the demo version on it. We are currenlty evaluating several helpdesk softwares. Loading the software was no problem but when I go to start the ServiceDesk manage engine it hangs. The blue bar at the bottom of the screen gets about 90% but never finishes. Monitoring IIS 6.0 on Windows 2003
When I add my Windows 2003 IIS 6 web server, it doesn't detect it as an IIS server and adds it as a generic Web Server. I was hoping to gain more statistics in a similar way that the apache monitoring has. Is IIS 6 not supported yet? Or do I need to change something in my IIS/Application Manager config? Custom Monitor Problem
I need to set a threshold for monitoring freespace in GB, but for each drive separately. I tried to setup a custom monitor using (.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.4.5(.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.5-.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6))/(1073741824) where .5 is the instance from the GB monitor that you guys provide. This should give me the free space in GB on the M: drive of the server that I'm trying to monitor. When I try to add that custom monitor, it says that it does it successfully but it never shows up under the device.
RPC not available
I am having an issue trying to monitor Windows System services. I am going through a FW to a DMZ and authenticating to another domain. I have the right password, RPC is running on the destination servers I am trying to hit, but cannot get a connection. Any help would be appreciated. I can get to another domain across that same FW, but am having issues with the one on the DMZ. Thanks, Bob

Cannot set up smtp to send mail alerts
Having problems in setting up smtp server in app manager. I am using the same smtp for my mail and it works. Wonder why it is not recognized by app manager. It tells me error - smtp is not running in <server> port 25. Please help. I think this application is useful and I am about to request my group to buy this and the "email set up" thing happened which is quite a disappointment for me...

I trying to run OpManager from an XP pro host, where I'm also running my webserver and mysql. Through these boards I managed to overcome the first opstacle (datadir in my.ini pointed to a non-existing folder, which I then created). Devices are not discovered correctly even after adding the OID and creating a new custom device type. Once I add the device type shouldn't each subsequent like-device be discovered correctly and automatically categoried as the appropriate device? I am running build 5604.
Setting up WAN monitoring
I am using 2 firewalls and have a branch office VPN between them. How do I setup monitoring on that connection? I would like to know amount of data passed over the VPN, up times, speeds, etc. I have workstations and printers on the other side of this WAN and can see them without issue.

How do App Manager discover OS type?
Any idea how do App manager discover OS type when you add monitor? Because I got an error when adding new monitor, which is : Server type: SunOS 5.8 Generic_117350-20 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V440. error: Failed The Selected OS Type is SUN but the actual OS Type is as you can see the discovered OS is blank.
Used disk space seems wrong on OP manager.
Dear all: The version of OP manager is �5610�, it�s installed on Windows 2003 server. The snapshot of disk utilization shows normally. The used disk space doesn't not match the output of Linux command �df -k�. I notice that the value of resource monitor item �free disk space in GB� is keep on 1(GB). windows2003 domain scan
Hi, please help. there are A,B,C three domain, connected by VPN. trusted each other. SD+ installed in domain A. B with nt4 domain. C upgrade nt4 to windows2003. the problem is : domain B can be scanned now. domain C can be scanned when it was nt4, when upgrade to windows2003, I try to scan the windows domain, it get the result of the total of workstation same as domain A, but only one is successful scan, all other are failed scan. but can scan workstation one by one.
