Hello, I installed Oputils to evaluate the software. I ran it for about 30 min. When I turned the computer back on. It would not display any screens in the browser; the browser just displayed Internet Explorer's "Page cannot be displayed" page. To make a long story short. I UNINSTALLED IT AND REINSTALLED IT. Now it wont run at all. All I get is a java dialog box that say's, "An Instance of AdventNetManageEngine OpUtils is already running". The service is not running (It won't start because "An Instance
View event logs prior to EventLog Analyzer installation
Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to view /create reports prior to the date when EventLog Analyzer was installed. Currently I can view only from the date of installation, however I'd like to go a few days back. Your input is much appreciated. Daniel PS: Great program.
e-mail technician not posting
When we e-mail the technician the e-mail content is not being copied into the Conversations section of the request like it does for e-mailing the requestor.

We are running a Novell network with GroupWise and Windows XP computers without a Domain and Active Directory or an Exchange server. Will this product work for for me or will it be combersome and not work effectively without the Domain, Active Directory and Exchange Servers?
Attach file to PO
Is there a way to attach a file to a PO. When we create a Purchase Order, after submitting it we get a page that we can print to PDF. I would like to be able to attach that page to the PO along with packing slips and receipts after the item is received. Thanks!
Monitor Connections to IIS / ASP
Hi, I have an IIS server which hosts asp pages for our intranet. By using perfmon I can view current connections to the server, but would like to view it thru Opmanager. Is this possible via a custom reports? Thanx G

Edit Requester info
When a requester list has been imported with a csv file, and you find that a requester name is wrong and needs to be changed or the phone number might need edited, where can you edit this. I dont want to have to import a entire new csv file just for one mis-spelled requester name. Also when a techniician logs in they do not get the option to add a requester. It only comes up if i give them admin rights. How can i give them access to add a requester without giving them admin rights? Kind regards
The "request Scan banner"
When I click "scan now" I see a green banner pop up and see "Scan Request Placed for server X" - where do I go and see that the scan is occurring? In other words - how the heck do I know it is scanning? I can see the events on the server, but "Next Scan On" and "Last Message On" show old old times. Also, after installing and uninstalling, I see an image of "report being generated" - like a machine running paper through something - it is a very quick image or something to that effect on the first
How can I customized the number of items view on a page?
I would like to know how i can change the number of items i can see on a page. For example in my workstation inventory by default i see 25 computers per page. I would like to change that and but 100 per page... How I can do that? Thanks Fabrice

Questions about the New Version ServiceDesk
I would like to know if the following are available in the current version or will/will not be on the new version coming out. 1. Remove the ServiceDesk Plus logo to put in Company Logos. 2. Hi, I've been testing SD+ from a Techs point of view and find it to be excellent, and with the information from this forum, the upcoming release sounds like it will only get better. Yesterday, i started testing SD+ from the users (requesters) point of view. The first thing that I noticed is that there is no obvious way to start entering a request. the "Home" screen shows status of current or previous requests and any Tasks that are open etc. There's no clearly marked button or tab that the user can

SP12 Technician login error
When opening SDP, our users use a hyperlink that takes them straight to the "Requests" page - "http://helpdesk/WOListView.do" - for example, they open IE, then click on a favourite using the link above, enter their login details, and then it takes them to the "Requests" page. After installing SP12, this still works ok for normal users, but not for technicians - they receive the following error when they try to login (techs can still login using the default "http://helpdesk" link, but not "http://helpdesk/WOListView.do"):

The Routers are recognize correctly, but under device details you can't see informations about cpu utilization, mem utilization, interface statistics ...., We can see the Interfaces but only with n/a. Display custom field at workstation view
Hi guys, I would like to display an extra field in the workstation overview. By default all workstations are displayed with the following information: Workstation, Model, Domain, OS, Assigned To I would like to add a field that displays the "Service Tag". I need this because I need to create an overview for our insurance company with the serial numbers off all computers. If I can't do it like this I would need to manually gather this data and put it in an excel form. I hope someone is able to help

Organize Business View
Is there any way to organize the business view links? For example, if I create the following views: office 1 office 2 office 3 etc... then I create the overall view: US Offices By default, the US Offices link gets create after all of the other views. I want the US Offices to be at the top of the listing when I click on the Maps tab. Can this be done? Thanks.

Problem with custom monitor and OID
Hi, using the MIB-Browser I found this OID: .1.3.6.1.2.1.43.10.2.1.4.1.1 which shows me how many pages my printer printed so far. When I set up a custom monitor to have a graph, OPManager automatically adds a .0 to my OID. So the printer does not respond to this monitor any more. Furthermore, when I use the PrinterMarkerLifeCount, which is shipped with OPManager, it uses the OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.43.10.2.1.4 and an instance of .1.1 which shoul return the right value. Hi, I've enabled netflow on a Cat6500 in CatOS Mode. Netflow exports informations in version 7. Instead of having port number, i've got the the connection type like 'short wave gigabit ethernet' which is useless. In terms of snmp queries, instead of having IfDescr, i need ".iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.ifMIB.ifMIBObjects.ifXTable.ifXEntry.ifName" Is there a way to change this ?

Discovering the IP address of a router
We have D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G wireless router and it was partially configured by a colleague here in my office. I've been asked to add security to the thing but can't access the device's admin dashboard (because he changed the IP address . . .). I'd prefer not to reset the thing if I can avoid it. I have the MAC ID but OpUtils seems unable to resolve it. Any ideas? Thanks GPC
SNMP Setup
OKay. I set up my community names for SNMP. I also changed the port to 162 on App Manager. I cannot get any traps in applicaiotns manager. COnfigured events to be wrote to event logs, created event 529 (Incorrect password) in windows but it never shows up in App manager. When I try to put the OID that windows uses, the field is too short. Any Ideas? What am I doing wrong?

Problems with ServiceDesk web client
Greetings, I have the ServiceDesk package installed on a Windows XP Professional workstation. I can access ServiceDesk from this computer but I cannot pull up the web client from any other computer. I get the generic 'page not found' error. The computer has a static IP address and I added the IP address to the public URL field (and was able to test it successfully). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
sound alarms enabled
Is there any way to implement sound alarms as an action? We need to provide it in a remote PC client with sound card where will be implemented web access to Applications Manager Server. I am currently waiting to purchase service desk but wish to clarify whether if I buy the current build and implement it using the MySQL database whether it will be possible to then migrate this data to MSSQL once it becomes a supported database? If not have you any idea the number of weeks before MSSQL support does become available? Regards David
E-mail Receipts
Hi, We are still in the evaluation phase of the product but are enjoying working with it. As most people agree I'm sure, the most exiting options are yet to come. One option that is used all the time is the "receipts" for the delivery of an email and the "read receipt". Will it be possible to include such an option for when an email is sent to clients as we need proof that the info has been delivered. thanks again for your work. John

Understood that the Inventory module can allow us to choose number of station to display. But I always want to display all workstations in same page. Can we set the default number of workstation? Tracking problems with an Asset
Hi, We have been testing Helpdesk systems for several months and so far SD+ is the best we have come across yet. A couple of things we thought would be useful: 1. Able to allocate an Asset to a User/Department AND a Location 2. Able to track issues with Assets. ie we have a VoIP asset which is faulty and needs to be returned to supplier for repair. We can not anywhere to input a "Request" to track this assets progress. I had a look at the new features coming in the next release, but couldn't see
Exporting from the Iventory
This software would be further enhanced by the ability to define your own reports. The information that is currently available as an export is very limited. I did a scan on the network and recovered Asset Tag which is the serial number of the PC but I can't print a report with those details. Likewise with most od the PC's Specs. Let me know if I've overlooked it in one of the reports. CSV would also be a more valuable export option rather than PDF. :roll:

Hello, we are evaluating SD+ and i miss a function do define a external link for custumers to show or integrate important informations from our erp system (like billing informations, account statements, etc.). To solve this question we need to make individual fields to the customers. these informations should not be editable for the customers (customer no., etc.). Then we need to define the customer main menu, to integrate functions like display account informations, etc. Is a solution in your roadmap
Incorrect allocation of Software License Numbers
