How to temporarily disable a Notification Profile
Is there a way to temporarily disable a Notification Profile? In other products we've used, you could go into the notification profile and enable or disable it. If a person goes on vacation we'd like to be able to disable their pages without having to remove the profile from all the devices they manage, and then have to reconfigure them all again when they get back. It does not look like OpMan allows you to disable a Notification Profile, or create a Downtime Schedule for a Notification Profile.

physical memory reporting error
I just upgraded to Service Desk + 6 from 5.5.0 build 5501. I did a new domain scan which worked fine, however, I've noticed that the physical memory isn't reporting the correct amount of RAM for any of the computers. As an example, my PC has 2 GB of RAM and it is reporting it as 1MB of Total memory (and all memory readings for that matter). How can this be corrected? I've included screenshots of my memory reading from windows and the service desk plus report. Thanks for your assistance...

Hi Can I bulk add users with roaming profiles without any extra steps, or do I have to precreate the profile and home directories first?
Record locking or usage warnings
When things get busy we generally tend to log calls and leave them as unassigned until an engineer becomes free to take up the next call. We have had a few situations where two or sometimes three engineers all go into the same call and either reply to a customer or start working on the call, not realising that somebody may have already taken it up. Would it be possible to perhaps add a warning that a call was opened/read within a specified amount of time (perhaps even user selectable to allow tuning).

Hello! I am using a trial version of the SupportCenter Plus. My problem is when a contact enters on the page where they insert a request, it appears a tab whith the support team. I don't want it there, i don't want the contacts see the support team. Is it possible to hide that from the contact view?? Sorry for my bad english.....

Removing the notification profiles in OpManager MSP Edition
Most often, any workstation issues during the day could be allowed to crop up from the respective user call or complaint, while if it were off, it would just mean that the user has just left for the day. In these cases, you might wish to remove a notification profile. Not getting any logs from CISCO ASA 5520
Hello! I've just installed FWAnalyzer on my linux server (Fedora Core, 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5smp) and started the software. The cisco asa is logging to port 514 and I've got a running syslog server on the same machine where FWAnalyzer runs and I get messages from the firewall. My problem is: I'm not getting any log-data. When I add a syslog server with the ip and port of the syslog server, I get a "syslog server down" status. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Sebastian M.

Hi I am making EMS using SNMP API. I have one question about the Alarm logging. I have read from internet logging technique i.e. first collect all alarms and put them in text file and after some size of file like 1 mb insert all records in database(DBMS) now my question is that the alarm should be inserted in database at the time of ouccrence or should be put in text file and insert them after reaching at some file size? New installation of Opmanager with (external) MS-SQL databas
After my new installation of Opmanager with a (external) MS-SQL database i have the following error in my webinterface. Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server. Couple of Questions
I just recently installed OPManager but I'm having trouble getting it to launch. I'm getting the error "Failed to establish connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager." I did some digging around on the support site and found an article saying to chmod the httpd file and modify the httpd.conf file, but after doing that I'm still coming up empty. I'm running Fedora Core 5. I already have an apache & mysql server running on that box, could this be the problem? If so how would I go
Problems Accessing after 24 hours
This is a strange issue... after about 24 hours (sometimes more or less) we can't access the web interface. On the local machine (RHEL4) I can telnet to the local interface and reach port 80 no problem.... and this is by connecting remotely across the same ethernet port via SSH.... I'm trying to find out if this is a server issue or if there are logs in OpManager that I can check to see if it's possibly software related? Also, I know how to start OpManager but what's the command line to shut it down?

Machine scanned by IP, not hostname
Hello. I have a machine inside an AD domain which I have to create manually (because during the domain scan it fails with 'No response received from workstation) so I put its hostname as its name, but the scan fails again. The hostname is 'MARKETING' and the IP is 101.0.0.70. It is correctly scanned if I create it manually and I put its IP address as its name. It's very curious because the result of the scan is saved under 'MARKETING' host, not under 101.0.0.70 host details. When I try to scan it

Application report protocol filtering
I am using the latest copy of NFA on Fedora together with fprobe. I have created a port mirror so all data going to/from a site router is sent to my Fedora server. The site router is configured not to forward netbios traffic but there is still a lot of netbios traffic going to the router so NFA is displaying it in the Application reports. Is there a way I can filter out the Netbios traffic from the reports so I can get correct WAN utilisation traffic? I am doing this way as I do not manage the router
Scanning Status Feature
please add the ability to jump into an existing domain/network scan and monitor the existing progress. When you start a domain/network scan you can monitor the status in the pop-up window, if whatever reason that window gets closed you lose the ability to monitor the progress of that scan, if a scan normally takes a couple hours due to hundreds of workstations in multiple WAN locations then there is no way to monitor this progress. This is a soar spot in my opinion. Thanks
Swedish characters in squid log.
New problem that you might be abel to help me with. Have some users in the domain that have swedish characters in there usernames like this ".%8fstr%99m". When i click it i becomes ".�str�m" and no data is shown wich i guess is correct since the realy dont match. So much question is if there is a way to get the unicodes translated in the parser so that it will show the swedish characters ��� correctly. %8fstr%99m should be �str�m. Business rules: Connect different business rules?
Is it possible to connect different business rules? This is how we want to use it, but i'm not sure if it is possible in the version 6.0: We have some business rules which check the subject for which product is meant by the cusomer/partner. This realy works fine and we can set all we need. But now there are some more points we want to do with the business rules: - When the E-Mail is marked as important we want to set the priority as High - We want to check if in the subject is "IMPORTANT:" included

Email job submissions
Since we upgraded our Service desk to version 6.0 some (not all) users submit helpdesk requests with no reply from the helpdesk and no record of there request on the helpdesk. I have checked the anti spam filter it has no filters in place at all. All the requests are internal so are not affected by our external spam filter. I can find no way of debugging this please help
Overdue Scheduled Tickets
If a scheduled ticket goes overdue, it doesn't get flagged as overdue, so doesn't appear in our overdue reports. If we want to schedule a request we change the status to Scheduled and then change the due date to the date we are going to complete the request. If the request is not closed by that due date shouldn't the ticket show as overdue?? Regards Helen

Is there a way that the requestor can search for solutions in only one category or subcategory? If I do a search, I get all results for all categories instead of only the results for the chosen category.
Spam filter question
For SD 5507 I can't use spam filter normally. I need to receive requests from several domains only. If I include more than one domain in spam filter all mail messages are dropped. Could it be fixed for 5507? I wouldn't like use 6000 yet. It has some problems: 1. Reports and business rules doesn't work correcrtly for Russian. 2. Memory shows wrong values. 3. Sub-categories and items doesn't shown for requests. I preffer category tree as in 5507. I read that first two items will be fixed in the near
