OpManager 7 CISCO Switch to Switch Link Notworking
When we use CISCO Switches to link the interfaces each other , doesn't make any impact where as Link between CISCO switch and HP Server does well.

Hello, I want to monitor some switches with the latest version of opmanager (build 7002) Sometimes I do get an graphic of data on some ports. But most of the ports not. SNMP is good as I am getting data into opmanger from the switch. What is going wrong and what can I do about is. Thanx MM

Adding PC's to inventory manually using a CSV file
As you can see from the title above I want to manually add all of my PCs to the inventory. Is there a way to do this. To answer a question that I know will be asked: Why not simply do a domain scan? Because our network is not up to the task, is across slow WAN links and because time is short and I need to be sure that I can scan an office in another country when they are there and not asleep and thus PCs are off. Can anyone help with this please?

Netflow/sFlow data collection
We are running trial of Opmanager & Netflow and have several queries We have a Black Diamond 6808 which is current set up to send sflow traffic but we are not seeing any at the NFA end? How can we check the setting on the black diamond or reconfigure them to send to the correct listening device? In the Opmanager interface will we see NFA options available in the device snapshot screen or do we have to open the NFA web interface? Regards Mark

Live traffic not showing correct values
We're testing a demo of the product. We're using a netscreen NS208 with 8 interfaces. When we look at the live traffic data it shows that we are only using 1.5MB inbound, outbound is even less. However the MRTG graph for our untrust interface shows our internet connection is buried at 4.5MB. We checked to make sure we weren't confusing inbound with outbound. In short, we expected to see the 4.5MB internet traffic PLUS all the traffic going between the interfaces on the netscreen. Any suggestions

Java.exe eat up the memory during import requesters from AD
I tried to import a bout 3000 requester from AD but the system imports about 1000+ and the rest failed to import. I�m running the system on windows 2003 server with 4GB of RAM. Java.exe eat up the memory until it reach 1.9 + or � then it�s failed to import the rest. Regards, Hassen

Devices not showing in Opmanager 7
I've been using OpManager 6 for a while now and just replaced it with OpManager 7. Because there aren�t many devices to monitor I manually added these devices back in. Although OpManager had informed me they had all been successfully added, I encountered problems with some of these when I tried to view them. 3 Cisco 7206 routers were picked up without a problem, whilst one Cisco 6513 switch showed up as a desktop and the other 6513 was missing completely. WMI monitors with OPManager 7
Hi, I am currently testing OPManager for feasibility usage in a LAN environment. In the previous OPManager 6, you can select WMI to use for the MSSQL monitor. However, in 7.0, there is no indication of WMI or SNMP used for the MSSQL monitor. The environment does not allow for usage of SNMP which is why this will be of concern to us. Also, are we still able to purchase licences for 6.0 rather than 7.0? Finally, can we purchase the MSSQL addon to the free version as we do not require the professional

Possibility of changing Alert Email Subject and other config
Im not entirely sure how to configure many things. Is there a GUI to the DB where all the settings are stored or is it in the XMLs ? The Help says nothing about this (that i can find). I need to change the Subject of the Emails sent by various Alerts. For example "Critical" and "Normal" should be the first word not the last in the subject so that i can quickly check on the blackberry, for example. Also, if i want the alerts to be sent only after 2 failures/misses to poll a server. Where can i change

Failover Monitoring
I'm thinking of running two intances of OpManager, one at my primary site and one at my failover site. My thinking is that if the primary site goes down, no alerts would get out, but if the failover site is monitoring as well, those alerts will be sent (and Visa vesa). Would this work?

Sub Category and Item not showing in request
I am using build 6008. I have created some preventative maintenance tasks. The requests are being generated fine, but the sub category and item that show in the template do not show in the request. Instead what is shown is "Select Sub Category" and "Select Item". I have cleared the cache, I have deleted all PM's and created new ones. Still the same. Any ideas?

Scheduled report is blank
I have a scheduled report that goes out every week. Today the report was blank because no data fit the criteria of the report. Is there a way to stop ServiceDesk from sending out the report out if it is blank? Thanks, Carolyn
Escalating a call
currently the way service desk does this is to add a task and assign this to another person, the problem we have is we cant run reports on these tasks to see what the technician has done, i thnk the correct way for this is to have it create a new reuest that is linked back to the original call, i believe this is a major feature that needs to be done as well have call that one person needs to control and be responsible for but same time needs to allocate part of that request of to another person,
