Problem Installing WiFiManager

Reset password -New User
Hi, We are using ADSelfService. When a new user has never entered a terminal service with his account, the reset system does not work, it does not show anything when he tries to reset his password; ADSelfService simply sends him to Home page. Run Netflow Analyzer on Virtual Server instance?
We are currently running Netflow Analyzer on a Windows 2003 Virtual Server with 3Ghz Xeon & 3GB Memory allocated to us. Netflow Analyzer runs painfully slow on this setup. Does anyone have experience with running Netflow Analyzer on a virtual server? Does it work well? Or is this practice not recommended? If we up our virtual server's hardware allocation to what is recommended by AdventNet, should we be fine with that setup? Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated. thank you, Geoff

Is there any way to make the managing product type/products any more viewer friendly? Currently they are separated on different pages. From the way I look at things and understand product types/products, it seems to me that it could stand to be combined into one page. New PRODUCT Type button at the top of the heirarchy Product type 1(Add new product 1) **Collapsable product list Product type 2 (Add new product 2) **Collapsable product list etc... Email notification not working
Hi there, I am trying to configure the alarm profiles so when a device goes down, it will log a ticket in ServiceDesk and email the appropriate people. I've got the logging of the ticket part to work just fine. What I can't get to work is the email part of it. I went into Admin>Mail Server Settings and configured the mail server, then ran the Test Mail and it worked. But when there is a problem with a device (and it has the right profile assigned to it), it will only log a ticket; never sends out
IPCAD (IP Cisco Accounting Daemon)
I am using IPCAD to create netflow data from a span port that I am monitoring. The software is working well and I am getting data. My question is related to the in/out traffic. They show as both the same, which makes some of the reports and graphs meannigless. In a regular setup, you would have two netflow interfaces. One inbound and one outbound. I only have one, but it has both inbound and outbound traffic in it. Is there anything I can do to make this more usable? John
Reset Request ID numbers for new tickets
We're an existing V6 customer and along with everyone else are sick of waiting for the V7 upgrade. We need to use the new ITIL features so are considering starting a new fresh V7 install on a seperate server and leaving the V6 running to query our old data - all new jobs/etc will be done in V7. In theory, when/if the V7 upgrade becomes available we will upgrade our V6 database and import the old data into the new database... When a new request in entered an email is sent out to the person listed as the Requester. Contained in the email is a link. When I select this link an IE is started but displays 'Internet Explorer cannot displya the webpage'. Thanks in advance for your help, Terry

I have a CSV of our inventory... I am about to modify it so it better suits the import criteria for SD7. My question is that it loads but how do I define an item as servers/workstations and perhaps further have the workstations defined as laptops/desktops? The PDF manual isn't too clear about this. Tony
Unable change SNMP login credentials.
We have Windows 2003 server. At some point OpManager stoped to receive cpu/memory/disk utilization data. I discovered that problem is login parameters. OpManager doesn't let me change SNMP credentials from Public to None thorough Server Snapshot/Password. Please, help. Thanks a lot.
User Notfication Granularity
Functionality to "Acknowledge Requester by Email when a new request is received" when Group = "XYZ". This would provide an automatic way to send notifcation emails upon updates of certain types or groups of tickets while not sending updates for others (such as automated incoming alerts).

I had two IE tabs open comparing the queries for two reports and somehow the report for one query has overwritten the other. If anybody has the default query code (on mysql) for the Requests by Category report it would be greatly appreciated!

Currently you can only apply an impact filter on problem reports. This functionality should extend to request reports so you can select Impact from the drop down column list.
Run Netflow Analyzer on a Virtual Server?
Currently we're running Netflow Analyzer 5 on a Microsoft 2003 Virtual Server with a 3Ghz Intel Xeon and 2GB of memory. We're trying to monitor 250 interfaces and we find Netflow Analyzer to be VERY slow. Sometimes we login and wait almost 5 minutes for it to even come up. Is the problem the fact we're running it on a virtual server or the hardware spec'd out for it? We're hesitant to upgrade to Netflow Analyzer 6 because that will probably require even more resources to run. Any suggestions to improve
Upgrade from SDv6 to SDv7
It appears that we ServiceDesk v6 customers have been "beaten" into submission. I haven't seen any discussion about the SDv6 to SDv7 upgrade lately so this must mean that those still using SDv6 have given up on trying to get AdventNet to elevate the priority of their existing customer base. GUI refresh
Hi When I delete user from the ADManager, I can see in the directory that the users are deleted. However, when requesting a new report: AD Reports-> Users with empty attributes, the deleted users are shown. It seems as if ADmanager keeps the users in cache and does not refresh to the AD itself. Hi I am trying to load Users from svc, but get the error: User account cannot be created - Error in setting password,The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements - Error Code : 800708c5 How do I set the user pasword for a bulk load, or alternatively automatically create the user password. View requests made and assigned with the same login
Sorry if this is already in the forum but I can't find it. My manager wants an easy way to view his requests that he creates as well as those assigned to him without creating a alternate end user ID and logging in as that ID to create requests? How can this be done or how to I meet his request? :?
techs cannot view query repts saved EVERYONE by me
Using build 7002, I have several reports that I, an Administrator & Technician, saved indicating EVERY ONE (PUBLIC REPORT). Reports work like a champ for me. No other Technicians can view them even though the Technician role is permitted to VIEW reports. Clickable link to report is presented, but when they do it appears it tries to start but stays on the report list page, collapsing the report group they are in.
SNMP Monitoring
When i am monitoring Dell switch via SNMP, my expection was to view port traffic means port1 traffic graph port2 traffic graph. When i selected the snmp attributes, it grabed the values of all ports but it was displaying vaules as tabular form. How can i make it presentable in the form of fluctuating graphs for each port. I am trying to create a rule on the FW Analyzer that will allow me to monitor Login Events that are genereated from specific hosts. AD monitoring error
I have been monitoring AD on 7 Domain controllers for some time now and most of them are working fine. This morning I am trying to add an AD monitor and I am getting the following error: Tag 'insert' can't insert page '/webclient/devices/jsp/AddADService.jsp'. Check if it exists. For input string: "null" .../jsp/AddADService.jsp directory & file does not exist. Is there any reason why all of a sudden this directory & file would have disappeared? Is there some place I can restore it from? Thanks!
Feature request: notify whole group without listing techs.
We would like an option to notify all group members when a new or existing request is assigned to the group. For example, if the list of technicians of the group to notify were left blank, SD+ would resolve all membership in the group at the time a new or existing request was assigned to the group and notify all of them by email. SSH2 for CLI

New sites not appearing in New Request dropdown list.
Seems that new sites are not options in the New Request drop down list. Also, if I delete a site it still shows as an option. Version 7.0.0 Build 7004.
eMail rule specific to "close" request operation n
When closing a request, it might be helpful to have a specific rule which enables the system to ignore response emails containing "out of office" anywhere in the email. In many cases, this has happened to us during testing and it effectively re-opens the request as it looks like an appended response was sent regarding the issue.
