Cisco ASA 8.x Software
Hello, does anybody have experience with Firewall Analyzer and Cisco ASA 8.x software version? Is this version compatible with Firewall Analyzer (4.0.3 Build 4033)? Are there any other settings I have to configure at the asa for fw analyzer? Thanks in advance, Marco
NFA 6100 on Linux
I am testing the new version. When I display the last hour of statistics for a link and then select the application TAB I see the entry TCP_APP and then after this I see the optioin 'Show Ports'. This is new on this latest version and is very useful. However, when I then select a different period of time for the report this extra option disappears so I cannot see which ports were used. Why is this?
Editing product type
On Asset management - Product page I can't edit some of product type.

I want to add new software, choose Asset Management\ Product click on Add New Product, then Product Type - Software. System asked for choosing software from list. How to add new asset, if I want add another not listed software?

Time Entry Defaults Technician to Assigned Tech
I am currently running into an issue where I enter a Time Entry on another Tech's ticket and it defaults to his name on that entry. Is there a way to get that to default to the tech that is logged in? It's annoying since I always forget to change that and then My boss doesn't understand why I dont have time on any tickets.
30 day report
I'm trying the Openmanager 7 on Linux. IF I choose 30 day reports, it's show me one point of traffic for each day. It's possible to change it, to become more detailed, like, 24 or 48 points for each day ?
can't cpu and memory utilization graph in the device page
Hello support, my problem is like that: I added new template device and add for it new custom monitors and also cpu, memory and disk utilization monitors of net-snmp. I associated the new template to a linux monitored station with net-snmp. all the monitors work fine when I test them, but the cpu and memory graph on the main snapshot page is not showing anything ("No Data Available"), on the other hand disk utilization graph work fine. can you help me resolve this problem?
Passthru Authentication
I am attempting to setup passthru authentication. I can get a list of users from the AD, but when I check the box for Enable Active Directory Authentication, I get: FAILURE :Could not enable Active Directory Authentication. Ensure Domain Controller is configured for atleast one of the Public Domains. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
NFA 6100 on Linux and renaming routers
I wish to change the name of the Router displayed in the Device Group display. I try but NFA won't let me. Rather it allows me to change it but completely ignores the change. I have no problem changing the name of the interface on that router. Why is this?
3 Monitoring Questions/Issues

Is it possible to monitor Linux (net-snmp) machines for % free SWAP space? Script Monitors creating bad alerts
In my monitoring system i m using mostly script monitoring. But problem is that it is creating a lot of false alarm . False alarm of monitor is coming because of failing to fetch the values from the server. In the attribute value "No data available" comes. Most of the time when i checked the monitored server during that it was working fine i dont understant why monitoring polling engine failed to fetch the values from the servers. Problem with Oracle Monitor
Hi iam trying to add a Oracle monitor and recieve the following message in appmanager: Unable to connect to Oracle Server. Replace the \working\classes\classes12.zip file with the \jdbc\lib\classes12.zip file. Then restart the Applications Manager server and try to create oracle monitor again. Error Message: 7 Now i cannot locate the classes12.zip for jdbc on my system and iam not sure what the problem is any ideas ? Regards Craig Gibb
Sort asset and requesters drop down lists
Please can anyone tell me how, or if its possible, to sort the drop down list of requesters and assets? In most forms (business rules, SLAs, Workstation or asset associations, etc) the drop down list is unsorted and does not support auto complete. With several thousand requesters and a couple thousand assets, it is IMPOSSIBLE to manually search through the list for the needed asst or requester. dear admin... im newly about this netflow stuff. i've been tried to login your demo site NFA professional edition, i see the AS number report, well that's one point that i like from it. but.. i dont see any demo site for for enterprise edition, so i used your trial version, but there's no AS number report. and what is the different with two of them? cause, i will recomend this application to my boss at the future. :D. regards anderson
Report Generation- Custom Reports (NOT Flexible)
In Custom Reports I can only generate report for 1 server only. How can i generate reports of 2 or more server in one view. Let say server1 and server2, You will see their CPU, Memory or Disk Utilization in Graph together, so that comparison will be easier. Will not have to generate report on each server then compare them. Im using OPManager 7 or your upcoming SP will address this. I think this is one of the weakness of OPManager, Report Generation is not flexible.. Hope you'll answer my concern.
attachment, while replying to requester
Hi i have some query regarding attachment while replying to Requester. I want to attach the same attachment requester submitted. but, by default, there are no attachments. i can achieve this using forward option. but, if i forward the request, i cannot see any record of it ini the request history. Following a meeting we have had here, we would like to be able to allow members of a change board access to view the changes tab in ServiceDesk. So, I decided to create a role called Change Board and allowed them access to view changes. Where this idea fell down is that the roles are only applicable to technicians. Composite Graphs for JMX?
I'm evaluating Applications Manager 8 and looking at the JMX support. We have a large amount of JMX information we want to monitor and i was able to quickly setup a JMX monitor with most of the attributes we are interested in. However it then presented each attribute in its own graph. We would like to group related attributes together and present them in a composite graph. This would look similiar to how the Java Monitor works when showing memory or thread information, with a single graph and a legends/table
Auto merge option when requester reply from email
- We are using SDP 6 - whenever we reply to user request, the requester will receive reply in their email box. - subject will contain Request No. and Subject. - When they reply from their email, service desk will pick all the mails and report as new request with new request no. - Now, we are manually merging requester's response with original request. - Is there any way, such that, Service desk will merge response with parent request with reference to request no. on the subject ? CPU, Memory, Disk probes do not work

Device Info. (Additional)
Can you add on your future updates some additional information on Device Info. on the hardware information. Right now it only shows memory and disk size. Hope you can include processor type, processor speed, vendor etc. so that we can also use for the hardware inventory. Thanks..

How do I switch SNMP to use UDP, instead of TCP? Not on the client side, on the server, OpManager.
Change Device Catagory casuses error
Hello, I added a couple of Cisco Catalyst 3560 switches, they were added as routers. I tried changing them to "switches" at which point I got a an "error" and the devices disappeared !!!. But when I went to add them manually I was informed that they already existed. I take it I need to delete them from the database (SQL2005 running in SQL2000 compatibilty mode) Can someone tell me how to sort this out so that I can re-add switches.
Why are SQL monitors in Windows 2003 monitors
When adding IO pages read monitor to a W2K3 device it turned out to be for SQL. mssqlSrvInfoPageReads 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.4.1.1.2.1.4 OBJECT. In fact there are lots of SQL monitors. Is this right. I really need Memory\Page Reads/sec for windows as this gives hard page faults.

Snmp confusion
Hello, I have OpManager running in a test environment for the past 2 days. I have some questions that I hope can be answered: 1. Am I supposed to turn off the Microsoft SNMP Trap Service? 2. The servers are running on Dell Equipment. I uploaded all of the MIBs from the dell support site. Not sure what I am supposed to do from there. 3. One of the servers is running Oracle. I know I can monitor the Oracle services. I would like to take this a step further and have opmanager execute a script to log
Websphere JVM errors
I am monitoring WebSphere 6.1 servers with Application Manager 8. When I set the PMI level to "ALL" I start seeing the following errors in my logs: Exception is: java.io.NotSerializableException: org.urs.bean.pcra.PcraPlansBean The bean name changes but the error happens everytime the Applications Manager queries the server for data (5 minutes). If I set the PMI level to "Extended" the errors go away but I don't get all the data in the monitor screens. Tom Driscoll
URL Sequence Monitor problems
I am setting up a monitor sequence and am entering the contents which I want the monitor to look for on the page, and if not found alert me via email. While setting up the URL-Sequence using the recorder, I do not face any issues, however once the monitor has been saved, there are a few URL's in the Sequence which report of the content which its supposed to find as missing. I check the same URL from a different browser and its working. Seems like AdventNet Application manager is loosing the sequence

Problem adding AIX monitor , blank screen ?
When attempting to attach an AIX monitor though either TELNET or SSH i just end up with a blank screen with : http://c42b33j:9090/adminAction.do?method=configureHostDiscovery��� at the top and the word DONE at the bottom . I have attached several AIX and Solaris machines already without problems. Any Advice
