Directly Assigning SLA to Requests
I want to directly assign SLA's to new requests, but it seems the only way I can do this is to create a priority or level, and have an IF statement within the SLA. It seems daft that I can't just select the SLAs from an SLA drop-down list within each request.
Application Manager editing hosts names
Hi everyone, I am new in using Application Manager and I have a trouble.After pressing on Add New monitor button I have to add an IP address which I want to monitor and I do so...but then I when I look at the Monitored groupes as a Icon view I see the machine with its IP address. Is there any chance to give the machine name so that I would see the name of the machine not the IP address. For example: Adding a machine with IP address 192.168.48.5 I want to see a name which I set for example "Mimi".Can

Misleading Test monitor error message
Hi, I just went thru a snapshot dial problem and I wished to point out that when the Memory Utilisation monitor is tested, and the asset for the total memory is 0 (In my situation the SNMP was not up yet when I first discovered the device) the error message states that the device did not respond to the request, wich is false, since in this case the request was answered, the error is that the returned value cant be computed since there was probably � Divide by zero error. Editing Reports and Dashboards

alerts do not trigger
I've created alerts(send mail + launch prog). When I test them by clicking on "launch" button in app manager, all goes very well. But when I affect them to a monitor (disponibility or health) and when the monitor goes red (unavailable), these action are not triggered. I can't figure out why they aren't triggered. OP 7 SP1 Alarms Possible Bug ?
Hi there. I've found a possible bug on our OpManager. When i'm in the Active Alarms window, if i select all the alarms and clear them with the default page size selected (25) it clears them exactly like it should but if i select all and try to clear them but with a page size of 100 or 125, as soon as i press the clear button i receive a Page Not Found error from IE. SNMP CPU Utilization in multi CPU servers.
I am currently evaluating Application Manager and am extremely impressed by this software. I just have one question/problem. I am monitoring Quad CPU machines and I did some research and it seems that SNMP reports the CPU utilization by summing the cpu usage and giving a "total" percentage. So for 4 CPUs this percentage would be (# of CPU's * 100) or for 4 CPUs 400%. So if 50% of each CPU is being used then that would be 200/400. Cannot view pictures in home screen or in dashboard
The pictures are not showing but displaying an "X"...(see attached) I am currently using OpManager 7, build 7025. Is there a patch I can apply to correct this? --Larry
Problem with some special character � � � � ...
Is it normal that when an user have one of this special character(�, �, �, �, ...) on his password, he can't log into the SDP application?? We are located in France and these caracters are used often, what is the best solution to me?? Is thre a patch for this??, Thanks
Kindly select an Asset
I searched the forum for this but couldn't find it. We have added a number of assets and when we try to amend the asset details a few days later (i.e. not at the time of the original entry), say to add an Acquisition Date, or a vendor name a box pops up and says "Kindly select an Asset" and it will not save the newly entered details.

Manually force polling/scan of all servers
Is there a way to force eventlog analyzer to poll all servers that have been setup? I know you can go to each server and click the scan button but wit a lot of servers this takes a little time to go through.
Monitor intervals
Is it possible to clear something up for me please. If I have my "Interval" period on a monitor set to 30 minutes, and then set the "consecutive times" to 3, will this report if the threshold is breached 3 times in 30 minutes, or will it report if 3x30 minute (total 90 minutes) internals have a breach?
Weird behavior after switching to SSL
So I found several posts on these forums about implementing SSL using a 3rd party cert and have that working. However, now anytime you boot the server or restart the service, the initial splash screen (the one that shows the progress of SD+ loading) never goes away. The blue progress bar gets to about 90% and the words "Application Layer Started" are displayed. After a few seconds is starts appending periods to those words and continues doing so indefinitely. There is a problem displaying "embedded" images in the mail message. It's a broken link to "embedded" images in the requests when forwarding or replying the message. The receipients recieves the message w/o images in the text. For example, there is an HTML code in the message, that I recieved into my mailbox: src="*inlineimages*WorkOrder*1*0.jpg". Our company is evaluating Service Desk Plus 7.0.0 Build 7012 and we are having a sort of problem with customizing reports. Seems like this feature works correctly only with English Display language set. Notification Problems
For some reason, SDP decided to stop sending out notifications to users/technicians yesterday. I managed to get it working again by rebooting the server, but that was only a temporary fix. Today, it will send out notifications of additions of notes will go through (if you tick the second box when creating a note), but will still not notify anyone that a new request has been created or closed. "Asset Serial Number" field cleared after 7 upgrad
Hello, I was keeping all the serial numbers for purchased software in the �Asset Serial No� field under Asset Summary. After upgrading to version 7, all the entered software names have transferred across to software under version 7 however I have last all the licence details as this field seems to have disappeared.
