Trouble with Service Desk

When I run an Active Directory scan it seems to work fine- but when I get to a certain PC something strange happens every time.

SDP scans this workstations, who's name begins with A.

It scans it again a few seconds later, only its another machine on our network. It changes the Ethernet mac addy, the XP license number- even what programs it has installed.

During the course of a full AD scan it does it 6 more times, believing certain PC's (they are the same workstation names, in order, every time I scan) are they exact same machines, and over-writing the asset information.

They are not using the same IP addresses, the same XP licenses or the same installed products. The only similarities would be motherboard type.

Any ideas?
