Would it be possible to create a new version of the home page that would show for the logged in technician a single list of all Requests, Problems, Changes & Tasks assigned to them, sorted by Priority, Due Date, Category? The problem I have with it at the moment, is that my guys need to go to the different tabs all the time to find if they have anything to do, and having them then try to determine the priorities of which one to do next is dfficult. I have a windows server that I've setup to monitor/manage and I'm using WMI with Event Log Monitoring checked...but despite numerous events being added to the event log nothing shows up. I tried polling/refreshing and still nothing. Suggestions?

Hi I am testing the application, and I have a question. When you add a Windows Server. You can add monitor windows services. And You has the option to stop restart and start the service. One of your support executives instructed me to update the Service Pack to 8300. But I didnt do the updation and fortunatlely I happen to get the access to Web Client after a Restart of Applications Manager. Now I have another major issue. Applications manager is not responding to any of the commands, say startApplicationManager.sh or shutDownApplicationsmanager.sh

Hi, We are currently trying Applications Manager 8. The first test I'm doing is monitoring a web service that get's 5 different parameters (3 file paths as string and 2 checks as boolean). I have imported the wsdl, configured alerts for availability, all working fine. Then I tried to add an operation. Operation added, tried to set proper arguments to this operation. Then I got two bad surprises. The first one: one of two boolean attributes seems to not be recognized. See the attached file "attributes".

Use a different syslog server
Hi, I am evaluating Device Expert and I would like it to use a syslog server (kiwi) sitting on a different server. The reason for this is to avoid increasing the bandwidth usage for the syslog traffic. I suspect that it is possible as there is a "bind" option in the settings but I have not found how to do that. Hi all, I tried to reduce the number of Unassigned (=UNKOWN) protocols in my reporrts: Device Name Protocol Group Traffic IN (MB) Traffic OUT (MB) Total Traffic (MB) | FGT500 Unassigned 73% 52.01 98% 870.3 96% 922.3 If i go to the tab Home --> Traffic Statistics i can't find any question marks? I have many interfaces administratively down on my router and opmanager is sending me an alert saying the port is down...is that ok ? of course I have the option of unmanage every port administratively down but what if someday I set the port up and forget to reset the status of unmanage to that port? is there a way opmanager detect the port administratively down and assume that it has no to monitor and send an alert during the administratively down state ? I do not want to forget

Hi, I am using OpManager for evaluation of the product before commiting to make an order. So far so good but I would like to be able to display the sysName somewhere in the page of a device. sysDesc is good but it will be very convennient to have the sysName. The reason is the desktops are using DHCP. So just the IP address is not good enough to know which PC is which. Is that possible ? Thanks, Vu

Enterprise Edition - Adding a managed server
Hi, I'm trying to add a managed server to an admin server. I'm getting an error message saying: Connection refused as the Managed Server 10.9.0.11 [9090/443] is not running. The Managed server is ofcourse running, and the SSL port (443) is opened two-ways between both the servers. When I check with wireshark, I see that the admin server tries to contact the managed server with port 9090. And that it fails since it's closed. I cannot, and don't want to, open port 9090 between the servers as it does

Can't delete Alarm
When I click on an Alarm, I select Acknowledge, then I select Delete. It asks me if I'm sure, I say yes. It tells me there are no alarms. If I then go back to Home, the same alarm shows up, and I can still open it. This happens even when I have deleted the monitor that the alarm originated from.
deleting a PO
OK, I am the administrator in SD+ I created a PO. It was approved by another tech that has the role of SDApprovePO. The PO has been marked as recieved I now want to delete the PO but I get the following error. The error message is less than helpful to identify where the trouble lies. Any help? Support? Need Help talking to McData Fibre Switch

Feature(s) Request -- MS Biztalk WMI monitors
We have a couple of MS Biztalk servers. I would like to query the Biztalk servers with opmanager for suspended message items. WMI would be used, its my understanding that a whole suite of WMI queries, and performance monitors are avaible to be used with MSBiztalk, but I'm not sure how to begin, to write these into opmanager. Network scan
Hello, I am attempting to perform a network scan to discover one of our managed switches. I've entered in the IP range in which the switch resides, as well as the correct SNMP community. However, when I perform the scan, I get the message: FAILURE :Domain login name and password are not configured for the domain invoked for scan. Please configure domain login name and pasword to scan the domain. The switch is not part of a domain. Is there any way to perform a scan purely using the SNMP community?
OpManager 7 at 100% CPU Utilisation - Java.exe
