A few feature requests

Hello,

I am using SD Plus 7.0.0 Build 7015.

Here are a few things we've found that can be improved in SD. Hopefully these will make it into the next release (or a fix/workaround can be found).

1) The ability to change the default font for SD. The default font is Arial, size 8. This is a bit too small since most people are running LCDs at a minimum res. of 1440x900. A default font size of 10 will greatly help. Actually, Arial 8 is great for the rest of the site but the request and solution forms should be customizable.

2) The solution form needs to have a "Printable View" button so you can easily convert the content into PDF or print them out. Currently I have to select the text I want then print selection.

3) Allow us to choose from the various forms of providing answers to a request (and hide the ones we don't want to use).
Currently we can provide solution via
1) Reply to the ticket using email (which is then collapsed in the ticket view)
2) Add work log
3) Click on the Resolution tab (which requires another click to view)
4) Add discussion notes

Of the four, we use the Add work log function the most since it is viewable within the ticket and clearly states who worked on the ticket, when, for how long, and cost of the work. With multiple work logs, you can easily gauge the difficulty of the request, how your technicians solved the problem, how effective he/she is, how many people worked on the ticket, what different solutions are available, etc...all without having to click another button.

Ideally the Resolution tab should go away and you should change expand "Add work log" to include rich-text editing features like those found in Resolution tab. Maybe even rename it to Resolution.

4) Of course, add "Print Preview" button to everything in SD because it's very handy.
