Task Tab
Is there a way to put a tab after Requests that is for Tasks? Right now one can only get to it by going to the Home Page and then hitting the Show All button in the My Tasks section. I would like to have a way to get to this right from the tabs at the top. If I am missing something or someone found a way to do this, please let me know. Thanks.
SNMPGET PROBLEM
Hi I have created a custom monitor to one of my ciscos in the OID i have set 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 and when I try to test it it is giving me a result like sysUpTime.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0:NULL altough if I do from the Linux Console i get a good result: snmpget -v2c -c <mycommunity> <myrouterip> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.10.19.1.1.4.0 = Gauge32: 1 why is it working diffrent on the same server from the Advanet and the CLI and how to fix it? Cost per department report
Hi Folks, New to SDP & just building some reports to try it out. I want a report which I can run each month & find out from the work log, the cost of that months work for the department & invoice it internally. Need some info on SLA escalation
I know I could figure this out myself given enough time, but I'm kind of being rushed. Can somebody who uses SLAs explain to me how the escalation part works? Without the enhancement described below my company is unwilling to allow our clients to have online access to SupportCenter Plus, which is a major detraction given we want to get the maximum value out of the product. Currently in SupportCenter Plus emails forwarded out of a support request by the support rep are not visible in the "View Contact Conversations" view. About AD / Windows Domain Scan problem
Dear Support Recently i am testing the Build 7018 with a fresh install. I can't import the user from AD and the Windows Domain Scan is also no working. (SD+ automatically scan all my domain and listed as Public domain at the Windows Domain Scan after i install SD+) When i try to import the requester from AD, it throws General failure while performing the operation. Temperatur on the Snapshot View like a Dial or so
Hi There, in Order to Aircondition Failure sometimes we have the Problem that the Tempreature on the Deivces will be hot. Even when a fan is not working the Temperature is a growing issue. It would be very Pretty to have that shown on the Snapshot and on the Business Maps. What are ur opinions for that?

hiding quick create
Hi All, We are trying to force our users to fill out the request forms fully by having mandatory fields. But the little buggers have found that if they use the quick create method then it by-passes a lot of the mandatory checks. Is there anyway of either hiding the quick request or making it force users to fill out all the mandatory fields??? Cheers, Phil
SD+ 7015 to 7018 trashes Servicedesk on MSSQL
Oh joy its trashed but again and my test machine using mysql its fine, why does it hate mssql so much? Oh well there's my rant now for the joyfull reinstall only thing I like is the backup was taken and that the automated helpdesk backup files stopped around a month ago

Hi. I've purchased your software recently to use in our company and , in future, we will want to access to your application using client certificates. Is there any way to access to SCP using certificates ? or is it possible to invoke using an intermediate application to login in SCP ? If it's no possible , how can i invoke with an application to access in SCP using login& password ( in this case i can to map the SSL access with an intermediate database with login information ? SD crashes while scanning assets
anybody else experience this? locks up my server to where the application is slow and only a reboot fixes it. sd 7.0.15 windows 2003 server vmware 2gb memory fyi -doesn't matter what version of sd i'm on. It's happened on prior releases as well.
Delete Home folders
HI, I've applied the new service pack to 4230 but when I delete a user, the Home folder still exists. Can anyone tell me if I've done something wrong? I'm happy to provide more evidence, but when I delete a user, and I went back to check the home folder, it was still there. Thanks VillaGorilla
Auto Resolve
I have a request template set up for a particular common job. Is there a way of automatically setting the status to Resolved as part of the template (maybe even Closed, but that might be a step too far)? Thanks

Setting up custom event logs
Hi everyone, I am trying to setup custom event logs for a server and its not working. I have set a specific alert for failed power supplies, event id 1125. I am not receiving any notifications when I perform a manual power supply failure on the redundant power supply units. However, when I enable All system event errors default configuration it polls all error alerts. I can confirm that I have all security credentials setup correctly as the default 'All System Errors' event log rule is working fine.
Device scanning problem

Windows IP address change
All, We have a bunch of windows servers that we are going to change the static IP addresses. I changed one and I noticed that App Manger still shows the old IP address next to the host name. How can I update this?? Must the host be deleted and re-added?? Thanks, Damian
Overdue Request Report required
Hi Guys, I have searched and played in the report tab with no real luck, so am hoping someone here can? I am in need of a report that will produce a list of requests that are Open and how long they have been open, and I would like to group by something like less than 1 week old: 1-2 week old 2-4 weeks old over 4 weeks old This is to determine the IT dept number of outstanding requests and to determine how many are overdue. Hope someone can help

Temporarily Rename Category
We are setting up our Help Desk so that the Category is one of three departments (IT, Operations, Facilities) and each Category goes to a different group of Technicians. Unfortunately, one of our Departments will not be ready to roll out their portion of the Help Desk when the other two go live. Organizing home screen
I'm trying to drag the different boxes on the home screen around to organize it how we want to view...but nothing actually drags (Firefox 3). In IE 7 it'll drag about 40 pixels, but then begins to hang. Suggestions?

Delete Technician - but keep as requestor
Hi, We have some associates that are no longer technicians. However, they are still employees who will periodically request service. If I delete them as a technician will they remain as a requester?
Smart Thresholds?
If I add a threshold to Disk Free Space across all my servers, it would be nice if the app recognized I didn't have a drive e: or f: on a couple of servers and thus didn't apply the threshold to those. I know the data is in the database, so it should be quite simple to loop through and check for the existance of that drive letter. Thanks!
SDP 7.0 Enterprise - Vista , No login, blank screen
Just installed version 7.0 and whilst it loads no problem in Windows XP & Windows 2003 (IE 7.0) all I get is a blank white screen when accessing it from a Vista Workstation
Change DB from MSSQL back to MySQL
Hi there, Anybody knows how to or tried already changing the SDP database from MS SQL back to MySQL? I know that MS SQL is fully blown DB engine in comparison to MySQL, but apparently Audit Reports and Customer Satisfaction Survey don't work with the MS SQL. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
