Moving Eventlog from Server to Server
Hello ALL !!! I have Event Log Analyzer (ELA) on a server (X). I need to move it to a new server, as I am going to decommission the old one. How can I move all the data from Server (X) for ELA onto the new server without loosing anything... WHY !!?? becasue otherwise I will have all my auditors hounding me that I am non compliant as I have no history or reports !!! Cheers :roll:

Hello, A few months ago Adventnet did a rollback to an older version for us because at the time we had problems upgrading to version 7.5. Now, adventnet analyzed our logfiles and discovered where it went wrong, we did some adjustments that adventnet recommended to do prior to updating. Now ( yes a few months later ) i'm trying to follow the upgrade procedure again by upgrading to the next build( current 7021 next build 7022 ) for us in order to do the upgrade to v.7.5 again. Hello, I have searched intense on this forums and besides some good discussions about relations etc. it seems there is no link to a datamodel description of ServicedeskPlus? PIX monitoring, interface counters are empty
Hello Gents, I try to monitor PIX 525 via OpManager 8.0. All interfaces were added into system. But all graphs are empty on the interface details page (No data available). How to enable to collect informations: Errors and Discards Toal bytes Transfered Packets per sec Interface page can be opened: Pix (device details) -> Interfaces -> Choose interface (example outside) Snmp credentials is tested and ok. Single Technican having problems with searches.
We're running into a problem since upgrading to build 7504 where a single technician in the system is having problems with Searches. When he types something into the Search field on the sidebar with Requests selected in the drop down, and hits Enter, and doesn't return results or give an error. Is anyone else using an email account hosted by godaddy for their email server? I am having a hell of a time getting it working. The account settings are legit when I use them in Outlook for testing purposes but when I enter them in Opmanager it says it cannot connect to the server. Any help would be appreciated. Josh

Allow Manager to see requests in more than one department
currently you can only allow a manager to view the requests in one department. that model does not exist in all company's or organizations. it would be great if we could have the ability to allow a manager to see the request in multiple departments without having to make them a technician. this person will only need to see and possibly comment on those requests in the department(s) he is assigned to . Making him a technician is a waist of money
How to associate a notification profile with a generic event
Here is my situation: We have a Juniper M7i router that we are monitoring the power supply value. If the power supply is operating OK, it is a "3". If it is failed, it is a "6". However, if the power supply has been removed from the device, the OID does not return any value when queried. Is there a way in OM to send an alert if a OID is not responding at all? That is, how to associate such an event with a notification profile?

Timed Windows Service Thresholds
I have a windows service that "flaps" on a regular basis. I'd only like to see an exception logged if it has been down for longer than 20 minutes. Can I tie a timed threshold to a service? I would like to retain my default polling period of 5 minutes.

Hi, I am looking for a easy way to create groups under a specified OU and with users from a specified OU. Syslog monitor and system resources
Hi all. My first post here. I'm using EventLog Analyzer free edition as we don't have more than 3 servers that needs to be monitored and Cisco ASA. The problem that I'm having now is that after some time Syslog Event Collector begins to take too much of memory on the server where it is installed. I have attached picture bellow with current consumption and it's still growing. Also another thing that I have noticed is high number of UDP ports that are opened by the same process, at this RAM consumption
Issues in 7506
1. When creating a new request if you select a group BEFORE selecting a requester, the group reverts back to "-- Select Group --". 2. When creating an email notification for new tasks assigned to technicians the "$AssociatedModule" is not seen as HTML when emailed. If you copy the link and paste it in a browser it takes you directly to the Request. The task link works fine. That's it so far. Still doing testing on the side.

Custom Report - No Data Available
I'm having a problem creating a custom report. I would like to create a weekly report for Error, Failure and Warning events for all Windows hosts. When I uncheck the Information and Success event type, the generated report will show "No Data Available for the selected windows host(s) within the time range". However, if I select all event type, a long report will be generated (no problem). Could anyone please help? Thanks, Narin

95th Percentile Calculation
Here is the scenario how we bill our 95th percentile on a monthly basis: We combine all the in and out traffic on a table, throw out the top 5% usage traffic and calculate the bandwidth from there. Survey Results
Can someone help! I've noticed that pur survey results have suddenly changed the order in which they are displayed, it is now totally random whereas before today they displayed in completed date order. This might sound trivial but its now impossible to identify the new surveyed results. We are using build 7505.

Dear Supporters After starting making out PO's using the system, I found out that the quantity field only take 4 digits whish is not suitable for most of our purchasing department orders which can contain much more quantities, kindly feed me back if there is any possible way to increase the number of digits .

Is there a way to change what the next purchase order number will be? Am looking to implement purchasing as part of an upgrade to 7506 but do not want to re-start order numbers from 1. Resolved Request Email Notifications
Email notifications are set to be sent to the user upon creation, update and resolution. When entering a resolution and setting the status to resolved, the requester gets two notifications, one for an updated request and one for the resolved request. We don't want the update notification to be sent when the job is resolved, just the resolution notification. How can this be done?

We have acquired one small company which is not yet locally (our network) networked and users are working through internet. We have 8 servers there & I want to monitor them as well through same appmanager. Is there any way I can connect those servers? What if I connect them through VPN?
BUG: & sign in Interface description
I have a router Interface that I named "AT&T Transit". Everything seems to work fine until I try and add a Widget to a Dashboard with a "Traffic for N hours" graph. When I click on the pencil and select the device, the drop-down says "--Interfaces not available". If I then rename "AT&T Transit" to "ATT Transit" and do the exact same operation, the interfaces are populated in the drop-down box correctly.

Hello, From what I understand, to get the best JVM information for AM8, it's recommended to set PMI to ALL in WAS 6.1. I'd rather not do this so as not to adversely affect application performance. Rather, I'd like to utilize the Custom PMI settings that are available. Would you be able to provide a list of the necessary PMI counters that AM8 uses so I could just use those instead of having to enable all PMI settings? For example, maybe I only need the following counters: Enterprise Beans JDBC Connection
Notification List
I was asked to get a list of who and how users get notified on which devices Unfortunately, there is no quick report for this. I had to do this manually. Is there anyone else out there that would like this feature. I think it would be beneficial is you have many users/devices, and if you need to change a user's notifications to someone else it would make it a lot easier. .
E-mail When Closed
This may already be available, if so please let me know... Would be nice to receive an e-mail when a user closes the request with comments. Currently we have to go into each closed request and view their comments, or run a special report to get all comments from closed requests. Would be great if a person adds a comment and then clicks close that it will automatically generate an e-mail with those comments to be sent to the Technician. Error when using custom created and saved filters "MY V
I have created custom filters. They show up under MY VIEW. They don't work. I can't find any information on java requrements, or other information on this error, but I need resolution.
