Move departements to my Sites
I have registered several Departements but all of them are registered to Default Site. Now I want to move these departements to different newly created sites. How is this done? I can't delete the sites and re-register it on any other departement, error message: Department is being used by a module. Hence cannot delete it. /Ola
Additional database needed for requestors and assets
We have a lab area with at least 50 "Virtual Stores". Each store has it's own set of specs that need to be associated in tickets and assets. But requestors can work at several stores a day and assets are moved periodically. We can't associate a store with a workstation or server, because the equipment gets moved around. How can I keep a database with the store information so that when tickets are created, the requestor can access this and include the information in the ticket?
Service Desk Plus problems - Advent Net service desk fails to start
after many problems updating from 7602 to 7605, we started with a fresh Windows 2008 Server image and clean install, but no matter what version 7602 or 7605 we install, Service Desk Plus will not start. how to import software licences into SD+? via API 'add asset'?
Hello I was wondering if it would be possible to use the SD+ API 'add asset' in order to add software licences to SD+ and associated them to a workstation. How could I do this? If not, does anybody know, how to import Software licences? Has anybody an SQL script for importing software licences and associating them to a workstation? Thanks a lot for any feedback. Marc

Problem with AD Scan
I'm stating using ServiceDesk Plus these week and I'm using version 7 build 7004, but my Domain Scan doesn''t work. For exemple: I selected only one OU that have 7 workstations. Than scan shows successul for all 7 and no error on log. When I go to store, I can see only 5 workstations. Any idea ?? Tks in advance.
Managing Software
SDP has a large list of software installed on the network, however many of them are the same or just different versions. Is there a way of merging these to create software groups or similar thing? e.g Adobe Reader 8.1.0 Adobe Reader 8.1.2. I would like to appear as one or a group. Can this be done
WMI Process monitoring issue
We've run into a small issue regarding WMI monitoring of some process information. We'd like to monitor thread counts of a specific process on a server. This worked great at first, but unfortunately there are now multiple instances of that process being run with different CLI arguments. In adding a normal process monitor, I can see all 6 of the processes and their arguments so I can tell which is which, but when I try to add a WMI process\thread count monitor through the WMI interface in OpManager,

Is it possible to use the same ManageEngine for different views? Problem I want to use the software for our Helpdesk whereby clients can log there request and I want to use the same ManageEngine whereby the testers can log request for our developers? Reason I want to keep both these request seperate as not to obscure the stats and reports but yet want to track both within ManageEngine
ADManager Mail settings for Exchange 2007
I have tried several different combinations for the mail server settings and I can't seem to get it working unless I enable anonymous on the receive connector, which I don't want to do. Tried using username, domainuame, username@domainname ssl/tls enabled and disabled on all combination. Any ideas? Thanks!

Table Netflow.Task_Input Doesn't Exist!
I have found that from the server log that the error "Table Netflow.Task_Input doesn't exist" comes out when I try to startup the Netflow service. How could I recover the MSSQL DB? thanks.

Eltek Flatpack 2 UPS snapshot
Hi! I have tried to configure the ups_monitors.xml and opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml file to adapt the UPS snapshot to our Eltek UPS. I have been able to get the UPS Load dial to show the correct value but I am not able to make the UPS Status section to work. Any suggestions? Regards, Daniel

scheduled shutdown of ServiceDesk
We are testing SDP 7.0.0/7009 and hae noticed that sometimes the next morning SD is no longer resonding. We suspect that this may have something to do with the nightly backup running on the server. So, I would like to shutdown SDP before the backup starts and then restart it after the backup has finished. Its very useful a dashboard (as opManager Dashboard, where you can design your own view) where we can put the the request screen AND in the same screen the Global View (its for NOC), where we can follow the requests (or an especific request) and see how is doing the requests overview.
Weird visualization on a frame
At my company, we have an intranet we use for many things and we wanted to show the Help Desk application as part of "modules" of our intranet, we inserted a button on the modules menu on the left frame and targeted it to the Service Desk Plus application on the right frame (which is actually the same server, but on a different port). Hi, Is it possible to hide or remove the possibilities to for technicians to manage custom views. Ex, If a technician makes a view including certain statuses, and after a while the company adds another status. Today, when you assign a technician to a site, the technichian can see only the requests in that site but in all other areas (problems, changes, solutions, assets, purchase and contract) he can see all sites. The site assigment should also handle the limitation/filtering of those areas.
Server Status on a web page
Hello, is it possible to create a pop up on a page, which will take server status from application manager?is there a plugin for this or any possibility how to do that? I need to monitor few servers so the users can check intra-net page and see if the servers are up and running. We use in our company Application manager so would be great to implement it this way. Adding Thresholds To Multiple Script Monitors
I'm attempting to add thresholds to a group of script monitors I have in bulk. My process for doing so has been to go into one of the individual monitors then to "configure alarms" for the given attribute, then checking the box to "apply to selected monitors" and selecting those that apply. The threshold configuration appears to hold on the individual monitor but ignores all others that I had selected to apply to as well. There are approximately 65 monitors in total to which I am attempting to apply

Hi I have downloaded a trial version of Password Manager Pro to test the remote password reset features but it does not allow me to save the credentials required for the remote reset. I see that there is currently two versions available standard and enterprise. Managing AppManager Credentials
Is there a way in AppManager to manage the credentials for connecting using SNMP or WMI? Currently, I am entering the SNMP community and/or WMI access persmission into each device/server record. When I need to change the credentials I need to visit every record in the system. Our security policies require these change at regular intervals so this is becoming a real problem for 250 servers. I know in OpManager I can set them in one place and map them to devices - can this not be done in AppManager?

pfsense & OpManager Dials.
I have installed OpManager (Build 8051) on RHEL 5 and attempting to monitor several pfsense embedded routers / firewalls. The monitors (CPU Util, Memory Util, etc) are collecting data and graphing. The Dials are not displaying any data and stating "No Data Available". The monitor test are returning values and I have modified the opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml as per other directions found in this forum. Just to confirm operation I added a Netscreen 5GT to OpManager and the dials do populate for it.

Feature Request: Managed Devices but no status poll
Hello opManager team, I've been using opManager for several years now and I'm quite happy with the product! But there is one feature I'd really like to have: We have several devices (mainly printers and workstations) which do not run 24/7, but which need to be monitored once they are switched on - so I'd like to have a feature "Status poll yes/no" - similar to the status poll for switch interfaces. Is this something that's on your roadmap? And if so, when can we expect such a feature? Regards GWeiss
