opmanager, vsphere 4.1 and disk performance
Hi, we're testing how opmanager manage performance counter on vsphere 4.1 and we have a little problem. Our infrastructure is all on ESX 4.1 with Datastore on NetApp NFS shares. On the host performance of the esx server and on vm on that host we see that no performance information is reported related to NFS Datastore (new feature of ESX 4.1). Is this correct? Will performance monitoring on NFS Datastore (and also on VM that reside on those Datastore) be introduced in new versions? Thanks Francesco

Weird Statistics
Hi, I have just configured NFA 6.1 with two X450 Extreme switches, and i am getting some funny statistical data. I sent 400MB down the pipe, and the NFA software only showed this up as 50.7 MB in data transferred. I then sent down another 30MB and it only showed this as 4MB of data transferred. It seems as though the software is trying to convert from bytes to bits, and messing it up, but that is only a simple guess. Could someone please advise if i have a setting wrong, or whether they have also
RPC Connection Errors
I keep getting rpc connections errors when trying to scan workstations. I pulled the extract below from the serverout0.txt log file. I have verified that the firewall is opened up for RemoteAdmin (GPEDIT.msc and the netsh command). I can also run NET Use commands to the C$ and Admin$ shares with the userid and pw. Dcom is also setup properly. And I have rebooted. This is getting really irritating as there does not appear to be any reason for it to not work. I have run into this with every new workstation

Netflow - Running on a VM Server
Hi I am looking at upgrading our Netflow Analyser to the latest versions via applying service packs etc. Before i proceed with this, can you tell me if it is possible to run NFA on a virtual server in VMWARE. I have been looking on the website to see if you have any instructions etc for this or whether it is supported. What i would like to do is run this application on a Virtual Server etc so if i apply any updates and say something went wrong i can roll back to a working vm from the previous day.
After upgrade to 7512, attachments in requests point to .jsp files instead of their respective file types in Google Chrome
We just recently upgraded from 7505 to 7512. We are now noticing that attachments in requests, when clicked, are opening 'File Download.jsp' instead of the .doc or .pdf that is actually attached to the request when using Google Chrome (Firefox and IE continue to function normally). If we force the .jsp file to open in the correct application (if we know that File Download 1.jsp is a Word document, we can force it to open with Word and we are able to see the content just fine). Add Additional Fields to Resolution Tab
We have several fields that are required when closing a ticket. Is there a way that SDP can find all these fields so when we go the the Resolution Tab so that we can just fill in all the fields in one shot rather than getting the error message and having to edit the ticket then closing it.

requester information
Hi, i have a trouble I make a new requester and add him to "Site" Company 1 (for example) When i create a new request(ticket) the field "site" always default with value "not any place"and doesn't change to Company 1 or any other automaticaly. Is there any way to fix it or maybe i did something wrong? Thanks
Global View Graphs not working
On the Global View - the graph for "This Week" is not working. All other graphs show up fine and without delay. "This Week" will either show as a blank box or will not change from the previously viewed graph. We are running SD+ Version 5.5.0, Service Pack 5502. Thanks.

OpManager - Running on a VM
Hi (This is similar to a Netflow Question on another forum) I am looking at upgrading our OpManager to the latest versions via applying service packs etc. Before i proceed with this, can you tell me if it is possible to run OpManager on a virtual server in VMWARE. I have been looking on the website to see if you have any instructions etc for this or whether it is supported. We are going through a virtualisation project at present where we are removing physical servers and replacing with virtual servers.
VMWare monitoring?
Hi Guys, This is my first posting on this forum and I'm hoping that someone could help. I'm in a siutation where I had to take an older physical server to setup in our DMZ environment as a VMware vSphere 4 server. All is well but now I need to setup some monitors for this server so that I am notified if ever there would be a disk failure, high CPU usage, etc. The server is a HP Proliant DL380 G5. Any ideas of how I can setup monitors for it?

Database fields and Application fields should match in SDP asset application
I've noticed that the field names associated with assets in many cases do not match between the application screens, export screens, import screens and database. (For example, is it an "Asset Name" or a "Resource Name"?) I would like to see continuity throughout the application and database. Anyone else?

When changing the details of multiple requests, you also get all the custom fields that are set up for requests. This is the page - BulkEditRequest.do Is it possible to mark custom fields so they are not included in this screen? Reading Oracle logs from a file
We have Oracle on Linux and our Oracle auditing logs to the database. We don't want to change that. So if an Oracle script writes the Oracle auditing data to a .log file or any flat file format under directory /var/log, can we use event log analyzer to read that file in syslog format or any other format?

ESX Stats unavailable for custum period
Hello, We have OpManager 8721 and I like to know if it's normal that stats for new monitors (CPU, Memory, Disk, Network, ...) are unavailable for custum period? For example, if I take an ESX device and I click in "Disk" tab and select report "Disk Write Latency", I have only stats for last 12 hours in the graph and if I click in the graph, I have last 24 hours. customize color of portal for logged-in users
Hi there, I know it is possible to customize the colors of the portal for non-logged in users, but shouldn't it also be possible to make the customization for users once they have logged in. Currently, when the customers are on the login page it is one color, and then when they log-in the whole color scheme changes. this is confusing for the customer and projects an unprofessional image for our company. Hi, We have recently completed an upgrade to the newest version of OpManager 8721 and have noticed a few issues. Our customised Business Views are able ot be displayed any more and result in a blank page with the word "Error!" on it. We have Exchange 2010 servers that are not detected as Exchange 2010 servers and instead classify as Windows 7. Even after removing them from OpManager and re-adding. Cannot edit Business Views. Hi, After patching OpManager to 8721, when trying to view Asset Detail in OpManager (which should then connect to SD+) I am receiving the error: Unable to fetch Asset Details from ServiceDeskPlus,hence displaying Asset Details from OpManager.Trouble shoot Trouble shoot: Check whether the device is added in ServiceDeskPlus Check whether the ServiceDeskPlus Server is running SD+ is running. Distribution List corruption
Hi there. We are evaluating ADManager Plus version 4.4.0 (Build no: 4412) and we think we've uncovered a bug in the product. When we try and manage an existing distribution list and add a user to it, ADManager Plus seems to corrupt the distribution list and all emails to that DL bounce.
