Checking if a file share \\server\share$ is available
On our file servers we are defining a lot of different shares. Sometimes some shares become inaccessible for various reasons. I need to periodically check their availability. The predefined OpManager monitors allow me to check files and folders, but only through mapped drives. I cannot map a drive to every share, so this is not a solution.
What other solution would you recommend?
