ADManager Plus V5.5 authentication problem
Champs, we've upgraded from V4 to V5.5 successfully but unfortunately after upgrade we are not able to start ADmanager because of authentication problem. we are trying to authenticate with the default admin account PW is default "admin". we are getting "No such account configured for the user" and when i tried to authenticate using my domain admin account we are getting "Your account is not configured as a helpdesk Technician" your support is highly appreciated Regards, Nahtawy
Create User: Customising available fields/interface for Helpdesk Users
Hi All, Is there any way to reduce the number of fields in the Create User interface for HelpDesk users? We only use a small subset and I would prefer the HelpDesk users only see what fields they need to use when creating a user, it would simplify their day to day work significantly and reduce errors. How to delete inactive computers using ADManager Plus
Hi, I am currently in the trial offer for ADManager Plus, and I am trying to mass delete inactive computers in Active directory. I used the ADManager Plus report generator to generate a list of computers that's been inactive for than 120 days. The list is in the following format: Computer Name Bob computer Ann computer I exported the .csv file and when I tried to import the file for deleting, it gives me the following error: "The following attribute(s) Bob Computer in the header is/are not authorized
whitespaces in additional fields aliases
Hi. I have a problem adding requests via REST API. Some additional fields aliases contain whitespaces in their names. Can I somehow refer directly to field name, for example: UDF_CHAR16 Thank you in advance

Restricting user access
My company is interested in purchasing a license for ADManager Plus. However, we need to know if it will be possible to restrict user access to certain parts of the application. For example, we'd like for a given user to be able to set up and disable email forwarding, unblock users, and not much else. The intention for this is to prevent confusion and simplify the procedure. Is this possible? What license would that require? Thanks! Sunil
Service Desk Plus IP scan
Good afternoon I have service desk plus configured to make a rage ip scan with a certain credentials and when I scan the network I am getting ip addresses that are not in use to the list of scanned machines (see image above), is there any way to configure this to just scan and add machines that respond or are alive? Accounts and Wifi
Accounts we create don't work on on wireless network (3com wx2200). The problem only arises with wifi, users can logon to domain pcs, connect to shares and printers without any problems. Only when they try to connect to wifi (using their AD account) do we see a problem. A workaround is to delete the account and recreate it manualy using Wndows Active directory. Not feasble for hundreds of accounts. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so would be helpful to hear what fixed it. Thanks Paul

How can I map by zip code
We have over 350 sites nationwide and we would like to have a US map on the OpManager dashboard that would have each site in it's correct location with a dot that would change with status - red yellow or green dots. We have zip code data for each site and would like to place them on the map by zip code instead of having to manually place each site. Can anyone help me with a method to do this?

Adding managed servers to rebuilt admin server
I have 2 managed servers and an admin server. The admin servers hard disk became corrupt and the server has to be completely rebuilt. The new admin server has the same name and IP address as the old server. Is there any problem in adding back the existing managed servers to this new admin server ? I have a web app where I need to detect if the current user has already enrolled in the self-service app powered by ADSelfService. What's the best way I can go about checking this from my web app? Ideally, I'd like to add an HTML widget or call the API via JavaScript. Is that possible? If not, how do I access the raw database to query it directly?

Does anyone know of a report in DC7 where I can see what system received what patches on what date? Specifically I would like to see patches that were pushed out in the last day and to what systems they were installed. I poured through the logs to no avail and servers were patched when they should not have been, I need to have those boxes tested to verify proper operation..
Desktop Security Configuration not applying
Hello, I have two machines that auto login with their own user account. I created a security configuration in DC that is suppose to prohibit the users from altering, adding, deleting or editing items on the desktop. However, after having the agent apply the configuration manually and waiting for the 90 minute interval to refresh it seems the configuration has not applied. I set the config. to apply to those machines and those two users. I've added the DC agent as a security risk exception in Symantec
Desktop Central Hangs during Software Deployment Set up
Occaisonally during set up of a new or changing an existing deployment configuration, the Desktop Central site hangs, usually when either adding a package to the config, or when adding targets. Am running latest service pack and patches. Any assistance is appreciated.

Cannot find scheduled Tasks
I can't seem to get PMP to find the scheduled tasks on a server using domain account.I've created a test domain account, added to the WindowsDomain Resource, created a scheduled task using that account, and PMP can't find it. I can see in the Eventlog logs on the target server the successful logon attempts of pmp. It can find the service and changes the password and restarts the service fine, but won't pickup the scheduled task. Any suggestions? Which script in ./PMP/scripts is used on action "scheduled
Assets
We have been using ServiceDesk Plus for about a month now and this problem has happened twice. While working on the assets and getting them all assigned to the correct departments all of a sudden they all get changed to the same department. The only thing I can think of that I did just before this happened was that I removed an unused site.

Password verification & reset for non admin accounts
Hello, added a new resource from type Windows. This resource is a normal Windows XP SP3 Computer. First I added the local Administrator Account of this resource and setup Password reset to use this Administrator Account. When I click on "Verification" it says "in sync" and changing the password works, too. Added a new local user service1, NO Admin rights. Click on "verification" it says "failed". As soon as I add the Account service1 to the local Group "Administrator" the password sync and reset

Hello, I'm new in APManager and even after upload an image to the correct directory ("\ManageEngine\OpManager\webclient\common\images\DeviceImage") the Business View doesn't show the image I have just uploaded. When I use a standard image the BV shows the image normally. It should be something easy to fix, but after change the image properties some times, I give up.

Create Device Templates based on non OID data

How to delete Devices in Netflow Analyzer?
Hi, I have a Device, with 3 interfaces, that was changed his IP address and now there is displayed the device twice and 6 interfaces. I want to remove one of them. We are using NetFlow plug-in in OPManager v8 and there is no option to delete. HOw can I "purge" the Device list?
AIX interface not show
I have 3 AIX server that I monitored using OPManager. I have successfully add the server in to OPManager but in the interfaces section the interface not show, when I try to rediscover it says that unable to rediscover. Incidents not uploading correctly
Hi we have been using servicedesk for quite a while now so our sql db is old and large (3.8gb). At times we notice slowness issues when updating fields and logging onto pages. But the main reason for logging this job is because we have an issue when people are filling out a incident. We have about 5 custom incident templates. Add traps from multiple MIBS
When adding traps from imported MIBS you can only see a small number per screen and they have to be each processed manually. Could this list be expanded to show more MIBs in a single screen and have check boxes added to search more than one MIB? If you have a large number of MIB's this can take a long time. Another thought would be to also add the option to search and import traps simultaneously when the MIB is being uploaded.

WE would like to have the ability for an email or other action to be triggered when a technician acknowledges an alert. This would inform my staff that someone else is addressing the issue and they do not need to get involved.
