Hi Guys,

 

Please see the Correct STEP by STEP for updating Manager Name, unlike other Attributes the manager name cannot be updated in the simple way ( You need the manager's name in DN Format - That is the complete PATH in AD)

 

1. Generate the All Users Report

2. Include the DN and the Manager Name in the report

3. Copy the DN of the Users name and use EXCEL ( Find / Replace ) function, Be carefull if you are using Copy/ Paste because it can and will include spaces ( Remove the spaces - for example OU can become O U ) use Search / Replace more than copy paste

4. Now do another report with the SAM Account name and Manager Name, Do a Find / Replace on all the Manager's name so the manager name will be converted to the DN Format

5. Upload the Changes files ( In the CSV) format and use modify users function

6. Select Managers name in the update

 

and all will be done................. Double check for spaces ......... I spent time on this to master it ..... No help from tech support
