IP address management added to opmanager?
I know there is a great deal of overlap among your products, but opmanager tends to have the broadest scope of capabilities, and in our environment is used by server administrators and network administrators. I think it would be nice to have the ip address management capability added to opmanager. I realize you have oputilities, but much of that product also appears in opmanager, so I don't want to duplicate the application management. I'd rather ip address management be added to opmanager.
Report on custom requester fields
Hi, I'd like to request a report on some custom requester fields. We have added custom fields such as 'date of induction'/'date of signing IT Policy'/'date of IT Training' and so on. We'd like to produce reports on the following: 1. A list of people who have not had an induction (i.e. nothing in date field). 2. A list of people who have not signed the policy. 3. A list of people who have received training in last 12 months. 4. A list of people who have had no training in last 12 months. I'm no SQL

Hi, There are currently 3 types of contacts in SCP which have respectively the following view possibilities: Their own requests only All requests from their account (Primary Contact) All requests from their account and sub account We're missing the possibility to easily see what kind of permissions the contact has assigned. Specifications VM Server for SDP
Hi!!! I have an issue with SDP, the java.exe process is crashing so the web portal it's not running, but the process mysqld-nt is still running. I migrate the SDP to a new server and still have this issue, so i don't know what more can i do. SDP server is: WinServer 2008 64bit RAM 6GB HD 250GB Processors: Intel Xeon CPU E7- 2820 @2.00 GHZ 2.00GHZ (2 processors) Can anyone tell me what kind of specification i must have to run SDP on a VM server, antivirus type, exceptions? Permisions to Groups
Would be good to have the ability to give permission to specific users to adjust membership of specific security groups so a line manager can add or remove them from areas of their responsibility. I do not want to give the user permissions to access all groups. Phil Evelyn
Business Snapshot Sort Order
vaguely remember something about this in V6, and did KB search but did not find anything. V7, 7024.. Is there a way to Sort Business views alphabetically? or by hierachy? Maybe a SQL command to re-index? My infrastructure is very broad and seeminly without deleting all business views and starting over, the listing order is very confusing.

Ive added some custom fields to my PO. IS there any way to make them mandatory so that the PO requester HAS to fill in these additional fields. Second question alos about PO reporting, is there any way when running PO reports that I can get it to list in the report the item information, this does not seem to be available to choose as an option when creating a custom report on POs. We would like to be able to grant all of our Passwork Manager Pro users the ability to browse all resources within the system without seeing the passwords. Apart from using Access Control, is there a way of acheiving this?

We plan to move away from a large number of unique resources that each have a small number of accounts (with a very high level of work needed to manage permissions per account) to the following structure...... Would like some advice on autoassigning manually created requests to certain technician groups
We have created technician groups with specific email addresses so that incoming emails get automatically assigned to that particular group. We have also setup appropriate roles that restrict each group from being able to view tickets in other groups for security’s sake. However, this does not address the issue of tickets that are created manually by the technicians themselves. At this point any new ticket that is manually created by a technician has to have the group designation manually assigned
Backup failed since resizing disk?
Our servicedesk 7.6.0 Build 7611 was working fine until a week ago. I then manually resized the disk it was running on. Had to recreate swap. All errors with booting where solved and servicedesk is running fine again. Except the scheduled backup fails with the following message: If i run the backup manual from ServiceDesk/bin/backupData.sh it runs fine. backup file is created. At the end of the manual backup it outputs: stopping DB Server >>>>> false is that normal behaviour? What can i do to get

Hello, Is it possible to track the last changes/actions a user has made? One of our supportreps has made an error and now a lot of issues are incomplete. We cannot really find them all where they have gone, so I was wondering (because of the history per issue) whether it is possible to log the last 25 changes or so.

Wildcards in workflow
I,m trying OpManager for several days, and it,s OK. My coleagues remind me on one small problem. In new workflow when they miss usage of wildcards for files or folder names. Sample c:\temp\*.dat. Fro example, we check if file is there , or more than 10 minutes. The same thing is in File monitor templates. Also is there any chance to use UNC file names (\\server\share\file) also for files with wildcards. I assume that if workflow can get list of more files in one directory, there should not be any

We recently installed 2 new 2008r2 domain controllers in our domain, transferred the fsmo's and removed the old servers from the network. Unfortunately the ip for dns was not updated in service desk, so now no one can log in to include the default administrator account. I wanted to know if there was a configuration file somewhere that the ip for the current dns server could be updated in.

Hi, We just started to use the Service Desk Plus product and we want to create a development system (where to try and test our configuration) and a production system. Receiving Flow / Not Receiving Flows
We currently have Netflow v9.6 and and I receive random e-mail notifications from Netflow stating that it's not receiving Flows from a particular remote router interfaces (mostly LAN, sometimes WAN). 15 minutes later, I receive another e-mail stating that it's receiving flows once again. During this time, there is WAN no outage... just not receiving flows. We have ~55 remote routers that we monitor using Netflow but only this device reports issues. Move hyper-v host to common servers?
Is it possible to add a server with hyper-v without it ending upp as a virtualization host in opm? The hyper-v module is not functioning very well for us with missing/wrong counters and such so we want to add the counters ourselves and be able to adjust nics and so on.

Monitoring Jboss 4.3
Good morning, I'm trying to monitor JBoss 4.3 on a server in my problems but I webfarm monitoring. Basically when I connect to my jboss application manager does not give me any data to be monitored, after 10 minutes of health status must be set down, how can I fix this? A very simple question, I wanted to ask if the file should be used only on jbossagent.sar version 5.0?

Is there a way to run the "Group for a User" AD report for each users in a domain rather than continually rerunning the report several hundred times for each user in a domain? Since we regularly audit each users membership to groups, it would be helpful to run this report for each user, then review the access with each manager. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Custom Attribute
Hi, I've created several templates to create users for different companies. One of the differences is of course the e-mail address. We have different recipient policies that check extensionAttribute2 for a specific text. I have added the text in the template for extensionAttribute2, however when the user is created the attribute is not populated. I suspect it is because the mailbox creation process is dependent on RUS. Is there a way around this? I would rather not have to change all of our recipient
