Dell 2700W UPS
Hi I've added 2 Dell UPS's to OpManager, while its finding them etc, it doesn't appear to querying the status, such Charge, Remaining Time etc. I've switch on SNMP etc, but still no joy. Can anybody advise on this? Do I need to setup a device template for them?

Alarms
Is there way to adjust the alarm threshold or criteria? I would like to monitor my interfaces so i do not want to change them as unmanaged but I am having an issue with receieving way to many alarms. For example if an interface goes up/down or if the utilization exceeds 30 percent OpManager generates an alarm. I am fine with the software keeping track of that type of information however there is no reason to generate an alarm for such types of messages, otherwise I receive so much noise I am forced

Assigned Number of Case to a User mistakenly
Hello, It happens sometimes that while assign cases, i mistakenly assign all the cases to a single username. Is there any way to undo that. or i have to check the history of every case and reassign to the right person. Please help Thanks.

Giving another requester access to a ticket?
Is there a way to give other requesters access to a ticket. We have many situations where we want a few people to be able to monitor the status of a ticket (and they're not technicians), but I can't find a way to give them full access to the ticket. Thanks!
Troubleshoot Report can only show 1 week at a time
I understand that I can see 1 minute granularity for the last month with the troubleshoot report. The problem I am having is that I cannot select a time period in the troubleshoot that is greater than a week withough getting a blank. If I try to display for 2 weeks , I get an error, 1 month an error and these are all within the last month. I can display a day, a couple days , a week just fine. What is the problem?

Hi, Is there a way to link/integrate the Account Manager login to a Domain / Active Directory / LDAP similar to Support Reps? Also, is there a way to create a hierarchy for the Account Managers such as Area Managers, Territory Managers, Regional Managers, etc. so that they can also view the Requests of the Accounts under them? Product Manager Field in SCP
Is it possible to provide a Product Manager Field in SCP with option to select from several entries? For example, Product A is handled by PM1 and PM2 defined in Products Tab. For Requests, SupportRep has option to select Product Manager for Product A from PM1 or PM2.
Issues with Service Desk plus technicians
Hi Today we experienced an issue where independently, 2 technicians logged into SD+ and were not recognised. They were able to login, but their names were not shown and they could see no requests and were told they didn't have access to the tabs (Admin, Change etc). When they changed their AD passwords, all worked fine. However, their passwords were not due to be changed. Any ideas? Business view: multiple links from one node
Hi, I've recently updated our OpManager installation to 9101. Now I have strange problem with existing (and new) business views. It seems that I cannot create links ie. from node a to node b and c, so that monitoring happens on node a interface (ie. eth0). Before upgrading this was possible and I have old business views that have multiple links from one node to many, and the monitoring happens on the one -side. Is this a bug or feature? If this is a feature, it makes the whole business view feature

Syslog viewer - Almost impossible to see syslogs as they come in...............
Hi guys. I'm trying to add a bunch of syslog rules in OpManager 9 to generate alerts as they come in from syslogs. Whilst the feature appears to work quite well once I define my rule etc. I'm finiding it almost impossible to actually capture a sample syslog message as it hits OpManager as they scroll past so quickly and there's no facility provided to view all logs received over a given time for instance. Also, I don't seem to be able to copy and paste the syslogs from the syslog viewer. Can you
Get ambient temperature
Hi, We have a few HP Proliant servers and we can get with the cpqhlth.mib the temperature for a bunch of places in the server, but they are all bundled under 1 OID. Is there a way we can break these apart and get only the ambient temp etc? Thanks,
Opmanager not able to start
My Opmanager is failing to start after getting a database connection loss error message. I restarted the server and started the service. Then it says my database is corrupted. So I did a database repair. When I stopped the Opmanager service to repair the database. I keep getting this error message "myisamchk: warning: 1 client is using or hasn't closed the table properly myisamchk: MyISAM file mysql\data\OpManagerDB\topouserprops.MYI" How can I resolved this issue ?
Empty data for AS report under sflow
Hi there, I am currently evaluating the Netflow Analyzer. I have successfully exported my sflow and netstream and are able to see all the AS under each router at the AS View. I am also able to zoom into each AS and observe the graph. However, when click on the Last 1 Hour Report option, no data appears for any AS that I select under the sflow router. It works fine for the netstream router. I didn't observe at error logs at server/default as well. Anyone knows what went wrong? Thank you!
Network Printers with Web Services
Hello, We have a number of networked printers that have their own web services (HTTP, FTP) that we would like to monitor along with the rest of the default printer monitors. It seems, by default, the Printers category does not have the option to monitor services like these. Is there a way to add this to the Printers category, or would I be forced to create a new group specifically for this purpose? How would I go about doing this? Thanks
Workflow - DNS Tests
Hello, I am building workflows that test critical network connectivity. One of the tests I want to perform is to check multiple DNS servers by making a basic query to each one. The DNS lookup function doesn't appear support this kind of advanced testing.While some advanced DNS lookup options would be a nice feature, I'd prefer to just be able to execute a windows command and have the results added to the workflow results. Set Dependency in bulk
Hello, Almost all of my devices have one dependency due to the setup of my environment. I would like to be able to associate most of my switches, routers, and servers with this one dependency in bulk. Is there any way to do that? If not, that is definitely a feature that should be added.
Importing users from AD automatically emails every single user with "account details".
I don't know why this happened, but on a new install with default configuration, after I configured AD and clicked Import, Password Manager immediately sent an email to every person in Active Directory with subject "Your Password Manager Pro account details". I would really appreciate a warning message before your program emails every user in my domain. There is no reason to send out an email while importing users. It should be done after all configuration is tested and ready.
Global credentials, and email notifications when access denied
It took me a while to figure out what service was causing hundreds of bad password attempts until I found EventLog Analyzer had some invalid credentials. First of all, please add a feature to manage global credentials, for example the Windows domain administrator or the Cisco enable password. Currently I do not see any way to change the username/password on dozens of servers except for manually editing each one at a time. Also, the "Alert Me" function should include access denied notifications. I

Import Hosts
We're going into our second phase of testing ELA (which looks really good so far), but now I have to add another 50 hosts to be monitored. Is there any way to import them from a list? When we go live we're looking at something like 250 servers in the first production phase, and if we go with all servers that's over 600 machines to be entered. There's got to be a way to automate this.
error uninstalling Eventlog Analyzer
when trying to uninstall the eventlog analyzer (I have to change the management server...) there is this Eventlog\bin\wrapper.exe left that cannot be deleted because it seems to be in use, although I cannot find a handle locking the program. How to get rid of it...? Thanks. Ralf

Hi Two problems in Announcements editor: 1. Bulleted List seems not working in Internet Explorer 9 2. If I use Bulleted List or rows in Announcements, it not looking useful on "Home" view, SD put togheter all rows. I can not get Bulleted List on "Home" view. Is this something that going to bee fixed?

Assets no longer in domain remain in store after domain scan.
Apologies in advance if this is a simple fix, I'm still very new to ManageEngine Service Desk administration. After going through the admin guide I am unclear on how to exclude some OU from domain scan. Our environment is set up to discover assets and scan changes using domain scan. This works well for the majority of our assets. However, after some time and changes to the domain a number of workstations are no longer in the domain. The assets remain in the store list after a new scan of the domain
2 computers in our network are being overwritten while adding assets
I got a strange problem. 3 computers in our network, while trying to add in assets in SDP 8.0, are being overwritten with each other. Common thing I noticed with these compuers is that all of them have vmware server or workstations installed in them.
