Update to 9400
Hi Have just tried to install updates ready to upgrade to 10.0 After installing as per the instructions and a reboot I cannot restart the Manage Engine OpManager, I get the following error: Windows could not start the ManageEngine OpManager on Local Computer. Event log = Event ID 100 wrapper Any help appreciated?
Applications Manager 11 (build 11030) and Server Process Templates/Service Templates
Hi, we've been using the Server Process Templates and Service Templates when monitoring specific processes and services for our Windows servers (both physical servers and hyper-v servers). After the upgrade to version 11, we can only see some of our physical servers, and no hyper-v servers, when adding new processes. We have the same problem when adding new services. We are running Windows server 2008, Windows server 2008 R2 and Windows server 2012. Any suggestions?

Ping timeout
Hi, I was trying to get my ping timeout to more than 1 second trough the ping.properties -file (\OpManager\conf\Ping.properties). I have done this before and it has worked like the documentation has said. Now after some new updates (9410 and now 10), the timeout value seems to have no effect? All the devices with timeout over 1 second are "device not responding", even if the value has been changed to 4 seconds. I have restarted the server so the new value should be used. Hi, I have an intention to interact with ServiceDesk Plus in such way: I want my custom application to receive notifications from ServiceDesk Plus events (changing request status, assigning tickets to technician, etc). I can use existing API and ask for requests at regular intervals, but it's not seem like a perfect solution. Can you advise me some other ways? Thank you in advance.

Woklog not showing all technicians
Noticed since 8200 upgrade. When trying to add a worklog, it is not showing all the technicians. It only shows the same two. Any ideas what might cause this? Cheers John

How reliable is the Usage column in the Scanned Software section of assets? I have some users reporting "Frequently", other with "Rarely" and a lot with "Not Known". Is there a way to get the date the last time an application was used?

How to detect an application “freeze”
I have OpManager build 9400. Is there a way to detect when a application “stalls” or “locks up / freezes”. Since the service / application is still running I cannot use the Process Monitors. There are no errors in the logs so I cannot use the Event Log monitors. I am open for suggestions. Thank you,

Worklog Save button not working in SDP 8.2
Hi; Have installed the new version of SDP. Have repetitive intermittent fault of the save button in a worklog not activating. The usual information added is just time and a description of what was done. Sometimes it saves, sometimes it doesn't. Workaround - close the worklog and open it again and attempt to log it again - may work, may not. This appears browser independent (happens in Firefox, IE 9 and 10, and Chrome). IE 9 is the main browser - running using compatibility mode. Thanks Alistair
Unable to login authenticating to LDAP
I am currently evaluating SD+ and at first had created a few local accounts. Then i figured out how to link it to an LDAP server. The LDAP server contains users with the same username that I had already created locally. Now logging in using one of the imported accounts (that wasn't already in SD+) seems to work fine, but when logging in using an account that was already existing before merging with LDAP will sometimes (it seems pretty random) let me login using LDAP credentials. NetFlow Analyser cannot get SNMP information
Hi. I'm testing NetFlow Analyser version 9.8.5 on a Windows 2008 server. The application is not able to recover SNMP informations from my Cisco routers with the snmp community I'm using. This snmp community has this character in it : & I think it might be the problem because if I use a community with letters and digits only there is no problem. This snmp community does not give me trouble in the OPManager Netflow Plugin. Thanks.

Hi, We set up an CI called 'SQL Database' and loaded 30+ entries, we then decided we needed this to be an Asset and therefore set the switch 'Track as Asset' to 'on'. Now if we try and list the CI via the CMDB module this just sits and says 'Loading . . ' for ever. Please help. NB. We are running build 8.125 of ServiceDesk Plus using MS SQL.
Ctrl + Alt + Del will not allow user login Windows xp
We currently have a group policy that displays a message for our users to read before they login. Normally a user clicks "ok" on the message and hits Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the login box. When we connect with the Service Desk Plus Agent and click "ok", it brings up the prompt for the user to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del. When we send the command it just brings up the group policy message again. User Profile Specific Software installs (Chrome, Dropbox, etc)
According to this post, it was expected to have User specific software (software that installs into the user's profile rather than other common locations like Program Files) would be available in software inventory by Q1 2013. This is becoming an increasing issue for us, especially with Dropbox. Is there an update to the status of this critical feature?
Limit size in the description field - SDP 8.1
Hi guys, recently I observed that the description field has a maximum of 64k characters. When the text is longer then 64k, text has saved in an attachment file (FULL_DESCRIPTION_<date-time>.html). In this thread (https://forums.manageengine.com/topic/the-size-of-the-description-being-greater-than-64k you said that in 8.0 cannot modify the maximun of the field. How in 8.1 and 8.2? As the title says, Since I upgraded to version 10, when trying to login through the web console, it just loads forever and does not proceed. I've already run repairDB.bat. Any ideas? Thanks, Joe.
