When I remove a PC that is off-line, I see a message telling me that the DC Agent will be uninstalled when the PC reconnects.

 

In many of these cases, the PC has failed and will never reconnect. 

 

Is a record of this kept somewhere and how long will the record stay active?

 

I most cases the PC will not show up again but in a few, the end user changes their mind about the system and we rebuild it using the same Computer name and workgroup on the same hardware.  If DC Agent is installed, will it be uninstalled automatically? 

 

Do we need to be concerned about the SQL database keeping records for each PC that was removed but which have not checked back in so the Agent can be automatically removed?

 

We have a number of PCs that are used very rarely,  so we have not turned on the feature to remove records for PCs that have not connected in some time.  If we do turn that feature on,  would a PC that has been off sometime and then was turned on and checked in, show up?
