email based sms profile setup

We are running a trial of OpManager and I would like to set up some notifications to SMS my phone via email.

I have my outgoing mail setting working - it tests fine.

In the profile configuration, I can get a test to work sending to any email address except my actual phone#@carrier.com address. I am quite certain that it should work because I have successfully sent messages to my phone number as tests from both my Exchange account and Gmail account, as well as the fact that it does work with some antivirus and Xerox monitors I already have set up (I received one today). It seems that it just really doesn't want to accept that email address.

The message that appears when I try to test it:

Exception occured while executing Send Email action. Please verify the settings for the same
