SDP performance analysis
SDP build 8210, and other builds before that, have periodically been very slow when sending emails (conversations), adding notes, closing requests, assigning categories, etc. Where should I start troubleshooting this? What statistics, queries or log files will be useful? Do you have general tips on improving performance? We have just over 26,000 incidents. Under 200 each of problems, changes and solutions.

Hi there, As the subject says. according to Admin > Tools > Add-On/Products Settings, the only thing the connection to SDP was for raising ticket(s). Our plan is to create a floor plan with the assets in place on Maps > Infrastructure Views and import a floor plan image then adding our assets. problem is, we already have all our assets added to SDP. Real Time Interface Monitor is not working.
I'm sitting on my machine and I copy a large file to another machine so I can watch the traffice. I'm getting aroun 99% of my 1Gb interface used, according to task manager... however, the real-time monitor on OpManager is claiming I'm getting 10Gb of traffic.... on a 1Gb interface. Further, I've noticed that on all machines, the amount of traffic listed in the normal utilization graph is odd... on the server end, I get a very low value, but tracking the traffic on the switch port to which that machine
Request Print Preview is missing Work Log descriptions
We recently upgraded from 8.1 to 8203 and found out that the Requests print preview function is now missing the Work Log descriptions. We rely on this feature to produce written proofs for SOX auditors, and really need to provide complete information on given requests. How can we include the Worklogs descriptions in print preview? Also, is there any way to show the complete Work Log descriptions in listview at the bottom of the "Tasks" tab? It would make the reading much more efficient.

GPO refresh triggers ADAudit event?
Populating local administrators Group on servers with Group policy preferences. After a while ADaudit triggers alarms "Member '-' was removed from Domain Local Security Group 'Administrators' by 'DOMAIN\SWE-FS1$'." and directly after "Member '-' was added to Domain Local Security Group 'Administrators' by 'DOMAIN\SWE-FS1$'." Its there a way to have SDP remove extra conversation history in replys by removing or hiding anything that appears below a particular string? If there is any back and fourth via email the content can get pretty messy.

Cisco IOS XE
Some new Cisco hardware has multiple images for the different modules installed. I don't believe OpManager has the capability to monitor a specific image within one of these Cisco devices (for example, the Catalyst 3850). Can you please include this in a future update? Adding a MIB to a new template- which MIB file to use?
I'm trying to add the Cisco 3850 switch as a template. I found a huge list of V1 and V2 MIBs for this device on Cisco's MIB Locator tool. But there are over 100 MIB's listed here (screenshot is about 1/3 of list). Can you tell me which one of these I need to download for OpManager?
Modify performance monitors using custom monitors
Hi all, I have defined specific monitors to monitor the CPU using an enterprise MIB. That works fine. But to create a better control panel for the devices I would adapt the default perfomance monitor for CPU, which doesn't work with my device, to use this custom monitor. has anybody any idea about that? thanks Christian
Change Resposne time or packet loss dials
Hi, From my research it seems I can change one of the bottom 3 dials to a custom monitor by editing an XML file. How can I change the top 3, Packet Loss and Response time to me are useless and I'd like these to be switched with a customer monitor? Thanks!

SDP does not run under IIS.. at least if I go to IIS on my SDP Windows 2K3 server it is not there .. and I don't see any Apache services running .. what WEB engine does SDP use ... anybody know?

Upgrade consistently fails to upgrade from build 8206 to 8208
Hello guys, Never had issues with this before, since Postgres a bit more tricky it seems though... I already have succesfully restored a 8206 build because it would not start anymore after i tried to upgrade it from 8206 to 8208. So the newly installed 8206, including restored data works superb, but: When i try to upgrade this newly installed build 8206 to 8208 with UpgradeManager.bat, it consistently fails with 'Upgrade Failed' with a link to a restore procedure which i already did previously.

Unable to add a new tab with URL target
Hi, I am unable to add a new tab with a URL as a target. When clicking OK, it simply reports, "Please enter the URL". I have tried various forms. The URL I want to include is the Storage view of opmanager, however I have also tried simple URL's, such as www.google.com.au for testing, and all give same result. See the screen shot attached. It might be nice to have a tools set (like in OpManager) on the asset page, maybe on it's own tab or from the dropdown list to be able to web into an asset like you can with workstations under the remote control tab. This could be handy for items like printers, switches, etc. that have a web interface to them for management.
html e-mail actions
hi, i'm a user of Applications Manager and i've always had difficulty getting the email actions to send properly formatted html. i always get the raw html in my emails. And after updating the email action and going back in i always see the encoded text. No matter what, plain txt, html or both. my outlook does allow receipt of html email. is the smtp server cleansing the message or something? can someone please help thanks in advance

Hello, i have installed Firewall analyzer 7.6 ,although my hardware clock and system clock are in sync in time but still firewall analyzer shows up with wroing server time in view server diagnostics.(time in server diagnostics is 1 hour ahead of actual system and hardware time.)is there any way i can change firewall analyzer time.I have restart firewall analyzer service but still problem persists.

Email fetching constantly stopping
Hello, Just recently, I have run into the problem where email fetching just comes to a stop. We've been testing the environment out for close to a month without any issues, and now all of the sudden, right before going LIVE, this happens. I need assistance ASAP!!!!! Things already done: Rebooted system Cleared the mailbox - This works afterwards, but then stops again. Disabled the Mail loop and mail storm prevention settings. Is there anything that I am missing here?
Unaccounted problem (Raw Data - Aggregated Data)
I have a problem, and I believe is related to raw data. The report "source" presents lower values for greater periods. At the "raw data settings", the space is set to 1 day, but the suggestion is for one hour, based on my flow rate. I realize that even before one day, the troubleshoot report does not provide data. Only show for period very close, like 2-3 hours. This may be causing problems in the aggregate data? At what time the system processes the "raw data" generating the "aggregated data"?

I've added a technician and deleted it. Now I want to re-create the same technician. I can add all the details but not the login details. It's giving me the error above.
