Hi ! It would be nice, for password administrators: 1- after a global search, for each resource found in the 'detailed view', to have an additional button (next to the 2 'change password' icons), to jump to the resources view/tab to be able to edit and add accounts quickly. (saves at least 5 clicks + the need to search again the resource in the resource list) 2- in the resources tab, when viewing a 'resource report' to have a link next to the listed 'resource groups' to directly edit that resource
sync accounts under a copied resource
Is it possible to sync accounts between resources. like this: resource 1 have account x and y resource 2 have account x and z if I reset account x on resource 1, can I get it sync'ed to resource 2 ? - account y and z should of cause not be reset.

Scheduled Password Reset for Specific Accounts in Windows Domain
Hi, I have a WindowsDomain resource which has user accounts created under it. I want to schedule a password reset every X days for some of the user accounts under the WindowsDomain resource. I can only seem to be able to schedule resets for the entire Resource and not individual accounts underneath the resource. For example, there are usernames which I do not want to reset (e.g. service accounts which can't be reset automatically due to application requirements, or user accounts I want to change
Pass Resource property Value to Password Reset Listener script
Hi All, Property named "Serial Number" is added to a custom created device type and now a Password reset listener script(powershell script) is added to notify the device in which the "Serial Number" field is necessary. How could I pass this "Serial Number" value to the powershell script which is being called when password is reset ?? By default only certain parameters are passed( resource name, account name, old password, new password, Ip address)
PMP & ESXi Shell Access
Has anyone experienced losing shell access when PMP resets a password? Here is what I'm experiencing and hopefully I can receive some feedback as to what the cause is: - I ssh into an ESXi (4.1) host as root - Create new user, pw, home directory etc - I then log in via vSphere Client as root - Give this newly created user Administrator permissions - I then confirm the account works by logging into vSphere Client and also SSH - Both are successful - I then add this new user account into PMP - I verify
"Password is in sync" when the target is not in the DNS
Hi, We are using PMP build 6903 (also tested with PMP 7000) and I found a very annoying bug: Password verification with a non existent DNS name always succeed How to reproduce: 1- setup a linux or solaris resource. 2- setup password sync 3- check that passwords are in sync 4- NOW, edit the DNS Name of the resource and put something that is not in the DNS 5- start a 'verify password' 6- => Bug: PMP says that password are in sync, but it has not actually checked, since connection was impossible.
"passwords not in sync" message for the password authentication disabled linux hosts
When I disable the password authentication in sshd_config and use PKI authentication when defining a resource, PMP Pro can not verify the passwords even if it can succesfully change the passwords. I use PMP Pro build 6701. Is there a work around or fix other than just neglecting the annoying "passwords not in sync" message.
Change port used by Password Manager Pro
Hi, Is there way to change the ports used by PMP such as 135,139,445 & 5768 to use only one port ? Alteast change 5768 to 443 for Agent mode password reset ?
password user cannot change password of resourcetype "key store" "file store" or License store"
In PMP version 6903 on Centos with PGSQL we have the following functional issue. When a password user is trying to change the password of resource type "key store" "file store" or "license store" the error "An error when processing the request" appears. The password user has modify rights to the resource via the user and resource group but is unable to change the password. For other resource types this user can change the password as expected. Difference between "Windows" and "WindowsDomain"
I'm struggling to see the difference between the resource groups and agents for Windows and WindowsDomain. Am I missing something? If so, let me know. I don't want to deploy the wrong agent and regret it later. Thanks!

Hi.. what is the certificate used by the agent on a Windows and WindowsDomain agent installation ?? I have created a new SSL certificate within our own CA environment and associated it the PMP server instance so that when the SSL page is hit by users it opens correctly.. Is this the same certificate that is used by the Agent(s) - if not - what certificate is being used and where does it come from ? HA with self signed certificate
Hi, I want to setup 2 servers to assign HA. I also want to use our own CA for SSL. This is the steps I take. - Install primary server - Install a self signed cert to server with keytool - Assign port 443 "So far all good" - Install secondary server ( run the installer and make a read only secondary). Now the problem arrives, do I install a self signed cert before I run the HAPack.zip that I made from primary server? If I dont make any cert, and copy the HAPack.zip I cant start the server,
PMP not starting after Upgrade to 7000
Wrapper dies with "could not start database" but postgres is already running. I had PMP running once directly after reboot but that cannot be reproduced. I see the java programs coming up but they die shortly after invocation. postgres is running with several children, port 2345 is active.
HA problem after upgrade to PMP 6904
After upgrade from 6802 to 6904 my secondary server does not start anymore. I upgraded the primary and it works. I reinstalled the secondary as recommended, created the HAPack.zip, unpacked that, checked that pmp_key.key of primary is in the right location on secondary and accessible. Email Notification when sharing a resource
Is there a way to enable email notification to users who a resource is shared with? in other words, I share a resource with John Doe. Can an email be generated so John Doe knows I shared the resource with him?
Open Connection - Windows 2000 Servers using local administrator
I have an issue trying to open a connection to a Windows 2000 server using the PMP page. It seems as though there is a character limitation when the string is sent to the server, as the "administrator" seems to get truncated when opening the connection. Is there any way around this character limitation? I've attached a screenshot so you can see what I am talking about, Thanks, -Clark
Personal Passwords missing after upgrade
Hi there, We have recently done an upgrade of PMP from 6503 to 6904, plus changed the database from MySQL to PostgreSQL. Unfortunately, some of our users have reported that personal passwords have disappeared. When the users visit the personal passwords tab, it prompts them to enter a new encryption key, and then none of their passwords are present. Is this a known issue? We do have a backup of PMP prior to the upgrades, but would prefer to resolve this issue. Cheers, Neil
Transferring Ownership
I need to transfer ownership of a large amount of different PW resources to another user before I can delete the former employee account. Is there a way to help simplify this process by searching for all resources owned by a particular user and then tranfer all of them to another user? It will take a huge amount of time to go through each resource one by one.

HA stopped working after reboot
Hi, I had HA working with my PMP installation until I rebooted the Primary. Now it reports as 'Not Running" and the sqlreplication log shows: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: <secondary server> I tried rebooting both servers and still it is not working. Help, please.

How to change bind address - password manager pro
Is there any way to change default bind address for password manager pro service? I have installed both servicedesk(http port 80) and password manager(http port 7272) services at same server and I want to configure them to listen on different IP addresses but at same port, for example: 192.168.0.1:80 for servicedesk 192.168.0.2:80 for passwordpro To change default port I know I have to edit config file server.xml at <PMP_Installation_Folder>\conf directory but is it possible to change bind address?

Secondary won't start after upgrade
I have just upgraded fromPMPpro 6802 to 6900 and then to 6904. The primary starts without problems I reinstalled secondary with the full package and created a HAPack.zip, copied that to secondary and unpacked it. Keyboard mapping issues with Windows Remote Desktop and SSH login helpers
Hi All, I have just installed Build 6903 on a nice fresh server and am having a few problems with auto login. The first is that the putty and "remote desktop" login helpers are not proposed. I am guessing that this also will mean that any helpers I add will also be ignored (although I must admit to not having tried). But this is less important for the moment. The main issue that I have is that the login helpers that I can access have keyboard mapping issues. First here is a picture of my German Macbook

Sharing Resource Group with User Group
I've installed the trial software for PMP and am liking it so far. A quick question related to local Windows administrator accounts: If I want to change the local admin password on a domain windows server do I need to create a second local admin account and assign that as the sync credentials for the windows resource or can I use a domain admin account to change the local admin password? After upgrade I get redirected to login page when trying to add resources
Hi I have upgraded Password Manager Pro from build 6701 to build 6904. Everything works and I can see all resources and passwords that we already have in Password Manager Pro. If I click on the tab resources a screen momentarily shows all resources then a second later I get redirected to the login page. Same behaviour in both Google Chrome and IE10. Single Sign on not working
Trying out Password Manager Pro and can't get SSO to work for the life of me. I can import AD users just fine...I tried both our domains. Neither work. I made sure the server the software is running on is on that domain. Didn't make any difference. Tried Ie7, ie8, firefox, chrome. None work. Most of the time I get some bizzare login page even before the regular "portal" page. If I happen to get past that....I can log in just fine with AD user credentials, but its not automatic. Yes these

Is it possible to set the "View per page" to default to 100, instead of 25? If not, I would like to suggest this as a setting in the User's preferences.
Resource group based on matching criteria not "working"
Hello currently I am evaluating PMP. I have a resource group based on matching criteria. When editing the group and clicking "search" there are several resources listed - so the filter/criteria seem to work. When editing one of the users listed there I can see that the user is not automatically added to this group - I have to add this user manually to this group. Even whe creating a new user that matches the criteria this user is not automatically added to this group. What am I doing wrong?
How to access PMP from iPhone App...
I don't know about you but I have too many passwords to keep track of these days. I've used traditional password vaults up to now but, just recently, I'm finding a greater need to access these resources remotely. Whilst I can remote desktop to these resources securely it's a real pain driving these from an iPhone screen. There had to be a better way .... With the ManageEngine Password Manager Pro iPhone app life has become much simpler. Now all I need to do is initiate a secure SSL-VPN connection

Capital letters are sorted first and lowercase letter and sorted later in the list. Why is it like this? I need it to sort alphabetically like any other program would do. Is this something we can change in the settings somewhere? It should sort like A b C d E f but instead it sorts like ACEbdf :(
Bulk reset of Local Administrator accounts in specific group
Hello, I have a resource group, imported from an OU in the Domain, with some test servers in it. I would like to do a bulk password reset of only the administrator account for these servers but cannot see how to do it as when the Windows resource is imported all the local accounts are imported with it. I tried creating a new group containing only administrator accounts but there is no option for specifying the group the server belongs to. Also tried doing it as a subgroup but this doesn't actually
